Tilda in Christmas Coat at Just Magnolia and WINNER!!
A very happy Saturday to everyone!! I hope you are having a great weekend! Gosh, it has been getting chilly here so that really puts me in the mood to think about the holidays--they will be here before we can blink an eye!
This week at Just Magnolia our challenge sketch is provided by the wonderfully talented Dawny P. You can flip and/or rotate the sketch, as long as we can still see all of the elements of the sketch. Don’t forget that you can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice and as long as the main image on your creation is a Magnolia stamp you will qualify to be in the draw for the fab prize. And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please. The challenge closes next Thursday 4th November 8pm. This week our sponsor, Dies to Die For is providing a very nice prize. So I hope you will share your Maggie interpretation of Dawny's sketch with us this week!
For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and the DP is from BoBunny. All major panels are double matted and machine stitched. I used the very darling Tilda in Christmas Coat from the A Merry Little Christmas Collection over at Magnolia-licious and she will be in-house very soon. This collection is just the cutest holiday collection YET!!! She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics before I added Liquid Applique to her coat trim and Twinklets to the ground. The sentiment ticket is from Cuddly Buddly. For the horizontals I used Red Organza and Light Blue Satin from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The snowflakes from Michaels are all centered with red rhinestones.
For the inside I used more of the same adding ribbons, bows, more snowflakes and a snowflake charm.
I hope you like my little creation and will decide to get your Maggies ready and join us this week at Just Magnolia. We are looking forward to seeing you there!!
WINNER - First let me express my appreciation to each of you for coming by to see me during the very special PINK week at Just Magnolia. Fairy Snow at Friday Sketchers #126
Happy Friday everyone!!! I hope you have had a wonderful week and are looking forward to the weekend. I am running a bit late with my life because I went on a little getaway to Atlantic City from last Saturday morning until Wednesday evening. It was a very nice break from my everyday humble surroundings. All of the glitz, flashing lights, and NOISE is fun for a while BUT when it's time for the quiet of home, IT'S TIME!!!
This week at Friday Sketchers we are being hosted by the talented Claudia who has designed a fun sketch for us. We also have a nice prize up for grabs which is being offered by Lauretta's Digital Stamps. I hope you will be able to come over and join with us this week so that we can see how you interpret the great sketch.
For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, and the DP is from the Bo Bunny Winter Joy Collection...thank you so much, Suzan, for sharing it with me!!! The background panel was machine stitched and the vertical panel was trimmed with a MS French Scroll ATP Punch Set. The image is from the Papilio Fairy Collection and obviously this one is called
Fairy Snow...isn't she beautiful!! She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics, adding Angel Wings Shimmerz to her wings and Star Dust Stickles to the snowflakes and sleeve trim. For a tiny bit of sparkle and dimension I added small rhinestones in the center of the snowflakes--also a larger rhinestome to the corner snowflake ornament. The horizontal base is lovely ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon-- 1.5" White Pleated Satin and Purple Glitz Ribbon. The bow is easily tied with the Bow-Easy Tool. The floral treatment is made with lavender crystals, flower center bunches, and mulberry roses.
Sorry that I didn't finish the inside but if I get to that today I will edit my posting to show it to you. Gosh!! So much stamping, so little time!! LOL
I hope you like my little creation and will be able to join us at Friday Sketchers this week. We would love to see your card using Claudia's sketch!! Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!

Thinking Pink at Just Magnolia AND some more PINK SWEET STUFF!!!!
A very happy Friday evening to everyone! I hope that you have finished a marvelous week and are prepared for an exceptional weekend. I have been surprised by my little Auntie, who is taking me to Atlantic City in the morning for a little getaway until Wednesday evening! So who knows what is in the cards or even the penny machines for that matter..lolol...keep your fingers crossed for me!! Wink!!
This week at Just Magnolia we are all THINKING PINK and I am so touched that my teamies have stepped up to the plate to make everyone aware of the importance of breast cancer self-exams, mammograms, and just general knowledge of the importance of being AWARE!!!! Thank you so much Just Magnolia DT members...you are the very best!!!!! Gosh the PINK cards done by all of the DT are breathtaking this week...each and every one of them certainly brought tears to my eyes at their beauty and their meaning to me personally! I do hope you will grab all of your PINKNESS and a Maggie and join in with us this week to make even more people AWARE!!!! The magnificent prize we are offering this week is from the generous Wild Orchid Crafts and is truly amazing. WOC has the most gorgeous flowers and other embellishments that you can ever imagine!!!
For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base, PTI for matting, and all of the DP is digital and I cannot remember where I got it...To the best of my memory the name of it is Courage. All panels were machine stitched. I used stamps from The Pink Collection 2008--Pink Tilda Ice/Ballet Princess and the Strength, Cure, Hope Circle from Magnolia-licious. Both were stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics and a touch of Star Dust Stickles and placed on double mats of Nesties. For the horizontal I used some beautiful pink trim which was a gift from the very talented Suzan--Thanks, Sweetie!!!,and pearl configurations, adding a pink organza bow with a dangling pink ribbon charm. The floral treatments on the entire card are luxurious flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts resting on a base made with leaves from Leaf and Swirl Die set. All of the flowers were touched with a bit of Stickles.
For the inside of the card, I used a horizontal on the first panel made with pink organza and pink satin, adding an organza bow and two pink awareness ribbons with a bit of MS punch outs and more WOC flowers. For the jotting panel I used a Nestie surrounded by more trim, adding a flat bow to the top and a BC awareness ribbon to the bottom.
I hope you like my THINK PINK creation and will let me know what you think of it...I also hope that you will decide to join with us at Just Magnolia so that we can ALL be THINKING PINK!!!!

Papilio's Lida Getting Ready to Decorate the Christmas Tree at Friday Sketchers #125
I hope you are having a wonderful Friday, wherever you may be!! Gosh, time is flying by it seems and soon we will be in the throes of the holidays everywhere!! So I guess we just need to take a deep breath and get ready for the busy season.
This week I am hosting over at Friday Sketchers #125 and I would love for you to come over and join in with us this week to use my humble sketch so that you would be eligible for a wonderful prize. We are offering a splendid prize which is provided by Carole of Stardust Gems and Ribbon who is sponsoring my week. Carole, thank you a million times over for your generosity.
For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base, the red matting is PTI, the other matting and the DP is all from the I Believe Collection by My Mind's Eye. All major panels were machine stitched. All of the red matting peeking out was covered with Christmas Red Stickles. I used Papilio's little darling Lida's Ornaments which was designed by the magnificently talented Malin T. Petterson. She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics, Spica, and a touch of Stickles. For the horizontal I used the 1 1/2" Red Grosgrain, 7/8" Red Organza , with a bow made using the amazing Bow-Easy Tool, which are available at Really Reasonable Ribbon. This time for embellishments, I was really taken by that tiny red cardinal so I used red feathers sprinkled with Christmas Red Stickles. I finally added a little Christmas tree charm, since Lida is getting ready to decorate it, and a few red rhinestones to soften the corners. In retrospect I also added a wee bunch of antique white berries which I found at a local antique store...smile
For the horizontal on the first panel I used the same red organza ribbon and bow and topped them with a touch of red feathers and Stickles. For the jotting panel I added a couple of magical snowflakes and a jotting spot.
I hope you like my little creation and will be able to join us at Friday Sketchers this week. We would love to see your card using my sketch!! Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!
Aud, Bea, Claudia, Inge, Janneke, Jeanette, Jorunn, Tanja

Minis, Minis, Who's Got the Minis????
Happy Thursday to all of you Maggie Lovers!!! I hope you are having a most delightful week! I have been exceptionally tired but the oncologist just informed me that the reason is that the chemo and radiation have totally played havoc with my Vitamin D and Calcium levels...so it's megadoses of both for the next 12 weeks!! Gosh, does this never end?? lolol
Prior to now, the darling Mini Magnolias have only been available at certain European markets, shows, and special events. But Diana at Magnolia-licious has just received word that she will be the sole distributor of the Mini Maggies in all of North America. She reports that she will soon have a vast selection of the stamps which will include the new Christmas Collection as well. There will also be a number of accessory stamps which are sized just for the minis. A shipment is on the way and will appear in the Magnolia-licious shop as soon as they are in stock. The price will be $6.99 each and Diana is looking forward to the Miniature World of Magnolia!
I have been collecting the minis for quite a while and Diana asked if I would showcase some of mine for you so that you can see how useable they will be for smaller cards, favors, tags, gift card folders, embellishments and many other things. I made 3 much smaller cards than I usually make...these are 3 1/2" X 5". So you will perhaps need smaller embellishments and ribbon for these little babes! I also used some of the ovals as toppers for favors...aren't they precious?
The following picture will give you an idea of how the minis compare to a regular sized stamp. Diana wanted me to share with you what size of Nesties would be appropriate for the minis but they vary in size just as much as the regular stamps. So you will need to size them for yourself and with as much margin as you personally prefer.
I have also stamped some of my collection and have placed a ruler at the side to give you an idea of the sizes of the various mini Maggies. I sometimes use a matching mini Maggie for the inside of my card with the regular size stamp on the outside. These little cuties will just give you alot more options for cards, gift tags, etc. than just the regular size of Maggies.
I hope you have gleaned some ideas for your minis as soon as they are in your hands...and it won't be long now!!! Please let me know what you think about my little babes. Thank you very much for dropping by and if I can give you any additional information about these "new in North America" darlings, please just drop me an email. Until real soon, I send wee Maggie hugs!!

You can flip and/or rotate the sketch, as long as we can still see the elements of the sketch. Don’t forget that you can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice. As long as the main image on your creation is a Magnolia stamp you will qualify to be in the draw for the fab prize. And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please. The challenge closes next Thursday, October 21. I hope you will pop over and join with us so that we can see your interpretation of Dawny's sketch!!!
For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and for all matting. The DP is from the Winter Wonderful Collection by Best Creations. All major panels were machine stitched and I'm sorry you can't see all the glitter this paper has....beautiful!! The darling little Jolly Tilda was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, adding a touch of Diamond Stickles to her lace trim and Liquid Applique to the fur on her cap before cutting her and her matting out with Nesties. I also used the Merry Christmas Text, which will be available very soon at Magnolia-licious, and embossed it using an ultra fine silver EP. To finish the front I used tinsel and chenille from Webster's Pages for the horizontal and added a Light Blue Organza from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I then added a floral treatment placed on a couple of pieces of glittery foliage. The larger flowers are Blue Shabby Chic Roses from Magnolia-licious and a few tiny mulberry roses.
The inside is more of the same papers and trims, but I did dangle a silver Christmas tree from the bow on the first panel.
I hope you like my little creation and will decide to get your Maggies ready and join us this week at Just Magnolia where a very nice prize from Jacobi.nl is being offered to some lucky winner!! We are looking forward to seeing you there!!

Tilda With Basket at Friday Sketchers #124
Gosh another happy Friday to everyone!!! I hope your week has been a most delightful one and that you, along with me, are ready for a magnificent weekend!! Fall is in the air and the colors are quickly approaching peak here in the NC mountains so we are preparing ourselves for all of the leaf-lookers who will soon be arriving!!
And today is Friday Sketchers #124 and we are being hosted by the magnificently creative and talented Aud from Norway who has given us a very exciting and fun sketch. Thank you so much, Aud!! I hope you will come over and play along with us this week so that we can see your interpretation of Aud's sketch. A great prize from Simon Says Stamp will be available for some eligible participant. Be sure to read all of the rules on the sidebar so you will be considered!!!
For my DT Sample Card I made an easel card, which for Christmas cards, is ideal since so many people like to display the cards they receive on mantles, tables, etc. The base is Bazzill, the matting is Purple Glitter and Bazzill, and the DP is from the Bo Bunny Winter Joy Collection and a gift to me from the sweet and artistic Suzan. Thank you so much, Sweetie, for this darling line of papers!!! The two major panels were machine stitched. A new Tilda from the A Merry Little Christmas 2010 was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, adding a touch of Stickles, and cut out with a Nestie. I think she perhaps has gingerbread cookies in her basket but I changed them to violets with a touch of lavender Stickles. Isn't she just darling? She will be available very soon I am sure over at Magnolia-licious...so keep on the look-out!! I used organza ribbons and bows for the two horizontals and a Doohickey Vintage Tag for the required elements. I then added a snowflake ornament, violets, and lavender rhinestones as well as a Doohickey Swirl to complete the front. The organza ribbons I used are from Really Reasonable Ribbons and are Purple Organza and Jade Organza in 7/8" widths. The bows were made using the Bow-Easy Tool. It is well worth a trip over to Bonnie's shop to see the lovely colors she offers in my very favorite organza ribbons!!!
For the base panel I added another snowflake ornament and made a horizontal stop with a length of Moss Green Leaves and more violets, finally adding more lavender rhinestones to soften the corners.
I hope you like my little creation and will be able to join us at Friday Sketchers this week. We would love to see your card using Aud's sketch!! Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!
Aud, Bea, Claudia, Inge, Janneke, Jeanette, Jorunn, Tanja
Thank you sincerely for your visit today and I hope that you will decide to come back and visit me often. May you have a very delightful day and until tomorrow when hopefully we meet again, big hugs for you!!!

Happy Saturday everyone!! I hope you have had a magnificent week and are starting into an even more splendid weekend. I have had some sissy health issues but those went out the window with some very exciting and fun news I had later in the week which I will share with you REAL soon!! Let's all remember that this is now OCTOBER and be reminded that it's also Breast Cancer Awareness Month...you can bet that I will never forget that October is much more than Halloween and Columbus Day (in the US)!!! Those aggravating mammograms take but a few minutes but believe me, they can also mean the world to you and your loved ones!!!!
This week at Just Magnolia our challenge is 2 x 2. So we want to see things in pairs – 2 papers, 2 ribbons, 2 charms, 2 embellishments etc. You can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice and as long as the main image on your creation is a Magnolia stamp you will qualify to be in the draw for the fabulous prize. And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please. The challenge closes next Thursday 14th October. So I hope you will come over and join with us this week where the very nice prize is from The Cutting Cafe.
On my easel card I used 2 designer papers, 2 mats under everything, 2 stamped images, 2 types of ribbon, 2 charms, 2 gold sprays, 2 medium poinsettias, 2 small poinsettias, 2 red berries, 2 white glass snowballs, BUT...shhhhhhh...don't tell but I used 3 holly berries!!! hahahhaha So how about showing us at Just Magnolia what you can do in TWOs!!!!
For my card, I used Bazzill for the base, all double matting is PTI, and the DP is BG Jovial. All panels were machine stitched. I stamped the little darling Vintage Tilda or Tilda with Christmas Ornament on Cryogen White adding a touch of Stickles to her lace and Glossy Accents and Spica Gold to the ornament. She is from the New A Merry Little Christmas Collection 2010 at Magnolia-licious...isn't she the cutest little thing, just getting ready to decorate the tree?!?! She was cut out with Nesties leaving her little legs to dangle on the outside. For the horizontal I used 1.5" Sage Pleated Satin and Red Diamond Satin from the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop. I have a bell and a snowflake charm dangling from the Bow Easy red bow. In the upper left I used the end of a prima branch which has 2 tiny poinsettias. For the right bottom corner I used 2 medium Prima poinsettias which I outlines with Gold Stickles, then 2 gold Magnolia sprays which the lovely Tanja got for me at Stempel-Mekka 2010.....thanks so much, Sweetie!!...2 red berries, and 2 white glass snowballs. For the base I used the same 2 ribbons on the horizontal adding a second image, the Merry Christmas Post circle, adding Green Stickles and 3 (shhhhhhhhhhh) red rhinestone holly berries.

Sneaky Tilda at Just Magnolia AND Friday Sketchers
A very happy Friday to everyone and I hope your respective week has been a magnificent one!! And welcome to a wonderful weekend!! Gosh, fall is in the air and I am so reminded of Christmas holidays being right around the corner.
I don't usually combine challenges in one posting but for today it is different because I wanted to make a special Holiday gift box/card set for a very special friend so I am combining this posting for Just Magnolia AND Friday Sketchers so that you can see the set together! First I will show you the Just Magnolia DT Sample...and I remind you that you are welcome to use anything as long as it has a Magnolia stamp this week...So please come on over and join with us and show us what you have to offer and be in line for a great prize.
I made a gift box using a plain brown box which originally had glazed pecans in it. I covered the box in papers by Inkido which were a special gift from the magnificently talented Gunilla of Sweden...thank you sweetie...I just love them!!!! I then added gathered lace, an organza/sparkle trim from Suzan (Hugs, sweetie), and finally a dangle gems trim. For the top of the box I stamped Sneaky Tilda on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics, adding a touch of stickles to the package, lace trim, and headband. I don't see her right now over at Magnolia-licious but I am sure she is winging her way there as I color!!! I then propped her up and encircled her with a pearl trim. The floral treatment was made with various flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and pearl trims from Michaels. The top was finished with a pink organza ribbon holding a marvelous charm of a pink jewel angel made by the magnificent Gunilla again!!!!
A peek on the inside of the box shows a repeat of all the trims used on the outside...and in addition an envelope for a special holiday message to the recipient.
The following will give you a glimpse at the beautiful charm which Gunilla made for me as well as all of the various trims used.
This week at Friday Sketchers #122 we are hosted by the magnificently talented and very sweet Tanja of Germany who has designed for us a fun and exciting sketch to use this week. I hope you will wander over and join with us so that we can see your manificent interpretation of Tanja's sketch.
For my card, I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and all DP is Inkido. All major panels are machine stitched. Sneaky Tilda was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics and a touch of Stickles, propped up and encircled with pearls. A pink paper doily makes the base corners. For the horizontal I used Pink Organza and pink satin, adding an organza bow to dangle the gem trim and to hold a pink rose. The floral treatment in the upper right corner is a combination of flowers/stems from Wild Orchid Crafts.
For the inside I used a silver snowflake charm to just more of the same trims from the card and box. The jotting spot is just trim and bow encircling a place to leave a special message.
I hope you like my little creation and will be able to join us at Friday Sketchers this week. We would love to see your card using Tanja's sketch!! Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!

Since this will be a special gift I decided to use my two personalized stamps with Nesties and some cute tiny leaves and flowers on the backs of both the card and the gift box.
Thank you so much for dropping by to see what is happening in my little world...I hope you will return often!! I love to hear what you say about my little creations and appreciate each one of you so much. If I can ever help any of you in any way, please don't hesitate to send me an email. Often when you make a request in a comment, I am unable to find your email address and am unable to respond to your request. If you have questions about any of my projects that I don't explain clearly, please let me know!! May you have a delightful weekend and until out paths cross again, big Maggie Hugs!!!
