Hello everyone!! And welcome to a new week!! I hope your weekend was a splendid one and you are starting a marvelous new week. Because I have been so far behind in tiem because of doctors' appointments and tests, I have made a dual purpose card today...for the Wild Orchid Challenge and for the Whimsy Showcase Day 6.

The computer charges $17.00 for International Priority and this is not tracked or insured. Tracked and insured for a package is $38.00. She can send each week's prize First Class (international) for $6.00 and she uses a large padded envelope so it shows up in the mail. So if you are an international winner, please understand that your package will be $6.00 for first class shipping and if you want it any faster then you will have to be prepared to pay for the extra shipping as well.

In order to make everyone a bit happier, the very generous Diana has upped the weekly prize to $25.00 but of course the shipping will come from that amount. I hope you understand and will appreciate Diana and her generosity in making this a special event each Sunday.

Happy Saturday everyone!!! What a week this has been and I am so sorry that I have been unable to be on the computer or make any cards!!! This getting older is NOT for the weak, I can tell you that! I have a very badly pinched nerve in my neck which is causing my left arm to act like ants are crawling all over it and it just doesn't do what I tell it to...hahahahah...I go for another different kind of MRI next week so hopefully it will be back to normal soon. Of course I am so independent that moving sofas, loveseats, and big armoires all by myself couldn't possibly be the major problem...do ya think??? hahahah Anyway, I am back on my computer with a couple of winners and of course we will have SUNDAY SENSATIONS from Magnolia-licious after midnight tonight!!

Life is Better...at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge

A very happy Friday to everyone!! I hope you have had a marvelous week and are looking forward to an even better weekend. Amazingly, most weekends are always better!!! We have had an unbelievable amount of rain BUT we are supposed to have a beautiful weekend...and I can't wait!!!

This week at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge I am hosting with what I hope is a sketch you will really enjoy, so I would love for you to come on over and join in with us and show us how you would use the sketch below:



For my card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting and the DP is from the Maja Design Vintage Summer Basics paper pad. I also used an embossed frame for the panel behind the cute image. She is Tilda with Blue Blanket and is on pre-order at Magnolia-licious and should be in store very soon. She was stamped on X-Press It, colored with Copics and Promarkers and cut out with petite oval nesties. For the vertical I used some gathered organza trim with satin ribbon tied into a double flat bow. The flowers are all from my stash and the sentiment is an epoxy label. Pearls finish the upper corner.

I found this extra set of Autumn Leaves Word Flourishes that I would love for one of my FOLLOWERS to have. Of course I will also add some embellies, ribbons, flowers, etc to the package!! Hi, Friend! at Lili's Little Fairies Challenge

A very happy Thursday to everyone and hopefully you are having a marvelous week! Gosh the days are so filled with springtime chores that the time is just flying by!! I can't believe that it is already so late in May and I still have so much to get done!! A friend brought more petunias for me to plant so this afternoon I have my "to do" list filled yet again!

Today is the new challenge at Lili's Little Fairies Challenge and what a fun one it is!!!! The theme is BEAR ESSENTIALS and we have been asked to use a sweet LOTV bear on our cards/projects! And you know we all love bears!! So come on over and join in with us and you will be in for a marvelous prize this week!

For my card I used the cute little Patchwork Hot Air Balloon which was stamped on X-Press It and colored with Copics and Promarkers. This card was a special request and I was asked to make clean and simple card---very difficult for me I must tell you!! The base and all double matting is Bazzill, and the DP is from the EP Hello Summer paper pad. The only extras I added were an epoxy sentiment, some satin ribbon tied into double flat bows and a few pearls. Can you believe it??

Twinkle at Wild Orchid Challenge and SWEET STUFF!!

The card I made today is going to Susan, the cousin/sister of Patricia Garcia, who is undergoing breast cancer surgery and follow-up treatment. You can read about her HERE. I am sending this little Morehead Twinkle cutie with a package of some PINK STUFF out to Susan today. She was stamped on X-press It and colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding Prisma Glitter to her wings and star. The base and all double matting is Bazzill and the DP is from the new Maja Design Vintage Summer Basics paper pad. For the vertical I used some lovely Guipure Lace from Wild Orchid Crafts. Of course all of the floral treatment is from WOC : Trellis Rose, Lilies and some Closed Rosebuds. The pink/blue bow is Vintage Seam Binding anchored with a Large Pearl Brad. To finish the front I used Self-Adhesive Pearls and a sweet epoxy sentiment.

Patchwork Daisy at Lili's Little Fairies Challenge and WINNER

Happy Day to everyone! I hope you are having a magnificent week!! We are having lots and lots of rain but everything is soooo green and the roses are blooming like crazy!!! You know that makes me a happy woman!!!

This week at Lili's Little Fairies Challenge we have been asked to make a card or project using out favorite crafting tools. Of course I have so many favorites but I guess when I look at my cards/projects in a simplistic way, the tools I use most often are a paper cutter and probably the Big Shot. For my card I used a darling little bear from the last release at LOTV but the new release of little boys are out in the on-line shop for the first time TODAY!!!! This image is PATCHWORK DAISY and this is the cutest little bear ever!! I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting and all of the DP is from the EP Hello Summer Paper Pad....and such cheerful/happy colors in this pad!! The image was stamped on X-Press It and colored with Copics and Promarkers. For the horizontal I used WOC Shocking Pink Satin Ribbon tied into a double flat bow. The flowers are all by Wild Orchid Crafts: Lilies, Sweetheart Blossoms, and Tulips.



The inside of my card uses several of the fun/cheerful DPs from the same collection. The sentiment is from the LOTV Happy Circular Sentiments Set.

A Flower for YOU at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge

A very happy Friday to each of you. I hope you have had a delightful week and are looking forward to a marvelous weekend. My little auntie is taking me to Atlantic City tomorrow for a few days to celebrate the wonderful news I received last week. So I am looking forward to our getaway!!

Today is a new challenge over at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge which is being hosted by Sara. She has selected such a fun challenge this week---PEARLS and SWIRLS! So we would love for you to come on over and play along with us so that you can be in for a wonderful prize!

For my card I used a darling little hÄnglar & stÄnglar image--one of my favorites actually. She was stamped twice on X-Press It and colored with Copics and Flexmarkers before cutting out one of the images to prop up for some dimension. The base and all double matting is Bazzill and the DP is all from the Prima Sun Kiss Collection. I used a mint Organza Ribbon for the horizontal and tied it into a double flat bow centered with a Large Pearl Brad and placed it on a lovely Pearl Swirl. For the floral treatment I used a White Chrysanthemum, Cherry Blossoms, Sweetheart Blossom all from Wild Orchid Crafts, and some spider daisies from my stash. I softened the corners with Self-Adhesive Pearls.



The inside was left very simple because I wanted those lovely papers to show--just a couple of organza bows and part of a pearl swirl!

YeeeeeHawwwww at Lili's Little Fairies Challenge and SWEET STUFF!!!

Happy Thursday everyone!!! I hope your week is going very well and that you have experienced many smiles already this week!! It has been in the 80s F (almost 30C) here this week but I am not going to complain--I much prefer this weather to the snow and ice!!!!!

This week at Lili's Little Fairies Challenge Blog we have a FUN ANYTHING GOES week so we hope you will join in with us and have as much fun as we did. We would LOVE to see your wonderful creations using a LOTV image! So hop on over and know that there will be a marvelous surprise for some lucky participant!!

The card that I made uses Bazzill for the base and the inside matting...the front matting and all of the DP is from a kit by Cosmo Cricket. I wanted the card to be quite masculine and therefore all of the embellishments are from the same 9,000 piece kit which is quite old. The front of the card is a double pocket card but made with layers rather than with folding a single sheet. The cute cowboy image I have used is from the upcoming release at LOTV which is scheduled to be out on May 9th...isn't he a little darlin'??? I just love that little puppy with the headdress!!! You can see many of the SNEAK PEEKS right HERE The image was colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding a touch of MS gold glitter for the stars. I added a couple of chipboard corners, a chipboard "HI", and some chipboard buttons tied with twine for both of the tag buttons.


For the first panel on the inside I made another pocket to hold a gift card...and for the jotting panel I used a MF envelope with tag for a sweet message!
