WHIMSY PRINTS BLOG HOP and SWEET STUFF!!!

Hi, everyone, and welcome to the Whimsy Prints BLOG HOP! In October, Whimsy Stamps announced the release of a BRAND NEW Whimsy Stamps product line - the Whimsy Prints Collection. The Whimsy Prints Collection consists of beautiful sets of hand-colored images which have been digitally reproduced and die-cut into various shapes. Whimsy Prints are printed on 100lb premium coated paper and professionally die-cut leaving smooth edges. Each pack contains 12 die-cut prints (3 sets of 4 images). The Crissy Armstrong prints are lovingly hand-colored by Crissy Armstrong herself:

All of the images in the Whimsy Prints Collection are very straightforward and easy to use. They can be attached directly to your project with glue or double-sided tape. Use them as is or cut to fit the needs of your project. One of the benefits of using Whimsy Prints is to cut back on the amount of time needed to hand color images. To summarize, this is a great way to make quick projects when time is of the essence! These are also wonderful for beginner crafters and kid projects. If you joined us for our last 2 releases, you may have seen some of the beautiful projects our DT and Special Guests have created using these prints.

Today we are showcasing these gorgeous Whimsy Prints with a special BLOG HOP! As I told you, I have been organizing my MS punches....organizing is such a neverending task for me...sigh...But I did find a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page Set which was a duplicate in my collection and I would like to offer it to one of my FOLLOWERS!!! This is the first of several that I will be posting as SWEET STUFF over the next few days. This one is called Deco Fan....

 

 

I just want you to know that if I have to ship outside the US, that I will remove the punches from the packaging so I don't have to pay such an exhorbitant shipping amount for the cardboard and plastic. For my card today I used the absolutely darling little Berry designed by Sylvia Zet for Whimsy Stamps. She was stamped on X-Press it and colored with Copics and Flexmarkers and I hope she looks like she has on a little worn out denim dress...lol  I used Liquid Applique for the earmuffs and the tops of her boots, Glossy Accents for the holly berries, and Stardust Stickles for the ground. The sentiment is from the Winter Postage Stamps set designed by Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs for Whimsy Stamps. The sentiment was cut out with the Postage Stamp Die. The vertical candy cane striped panel is outlined with Lace Tape - White No. 8 which is one of my new favorite products! For the horizontal I used red satin ribbon tied into a double flat bow to dangle a candy canes charm--can you tell I LOVE red/white stripes?? And finally I added a couple of holly buttons to the corners of the image panel.

For my card today, I used the darling little Angelica, designed by Sylvia Zet for Whimsy Stamps and a Snowflake Mini Letter Seal, designed by Raindrop Echo Designs for Whimsy Stamps, cut out with a Snowflake Mini Seal Die. I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting and the DP is from the EP Winter Wishes Paper Pad. I thought the mittens on the DP look almost like the ones little Angelica is wearing...lol  The image was colored with Copics and Flexmarkers, adding alot of Prisma Glitter and Star Dust Stickles. For the snow and the fur on Angelica's jacket I used a combination of Stickles and Doodlebug Velvet. All of the flowers, resting on MS branches are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Happy Holidays from Snowy Tilda!! SWEET STUFF!!

 

A very happy Wednesday to everyone...and to those celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow, may you have a most wonderful holiday with family and friends. My auntie doesn't like to stay home for any holiday so I am taking her on a little getaway today and will come home on Friday. And NOOOOO, I don't do Black Friday sales....if it can't be ordered on-line, I can't get it!! hahahha

 

Today is my day to post over on the Wild Orchid Crafts blog where each and every day there is a new posting from the various DT members. If you have never checked it out, we would love to see you drop by!! Maybe you can glean some ideas on using your lovely Wild Orchid Crafts products.

 

For my card, I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting and the DP is from Dovecraft's Back to Basics Christmas paper pack. The sweet image I used is Snowy Tilda from the A Christmas Story Collection which is now available over at Magnolia-licious. She was stamped on X-Press It and colored with Copics and Flexmarkers, adding a snowflake button to her hand, and cutting her out with SB Circles and Petite Scalloped Circles. All of the rest of the embellishments are from Wild Orchid Crafts. For the vertical I used Organza Ribbon tied into a double flat bow, adding a a Small Pearl Brad for the center. For the floral treatment I used a Curly Wild Rose, Open Roses, and Cosmos Daisies, all frosted with StarDust Stickles. I also added some Flat-Back Scalloped Pearls, a Pearl Spray, and some Self-Adhesive Pearls to soften the corners.

 

SWEET STUFF!!!

 

How about a little bit of SWEET STUFF?? I find things each time I begin to organize that I don't remember buying and it thrills me to be able to share with you!! With these two packs of sentiment stamps I will also add some blingie thingies just for fun!!!!

Silent Night, Holy Night

 

A very Happy Friday to everyone!! I hope you have had a delightful week and are ready for a fun and exciting weekend!!! Although I am retired, I love weekends, too!!

 

It has been quite a long time since I have made a scene card so I thought I would try one today! I had these images already colored for Diana at Magnolia-licious since she is using hand colored images in her shop to advertise the Maggies now. If you haven't been over to her shop, you can drop by HERE and check out all of the latest images as her DT have colored them. This is quite a nice way to show the stamps rather than just a black and white image with a big Magnolia watermark over it. What do you think? I have used three of the images from the NEW Nativity Collection: Edwin with Goat, Holy Tilda with Violin, and Nativity Background. The images were stamped on X-Press It and colored with Copics and Flexmarkers, adding Stickles and Prisma Glitter for some sparkle. The fun wiggly dimension for Tilda and Edwin was made by placing them on Action Wobbles. The Silent Night sheet music was computer generated on kraft CS and the corners rolled around a bamboo skewer. Finally I added a brown silk double flat bow, some pearl trim down the left side and a few more single pearls to soften the corners. I really wish I could show you how much those cute images move about and wobble when you handle the card...but you can see how much dimension those wobbles add by the shadows created by the images....They make Tilda appear to be flying around!!!!FUN FUN FUN!!!

Two Gifts for YOU!!!!

 

 

Happy Day to everyone!! I hope you are into a marvelous week and are enjoying each moment of it!! It has been chilly and rainy and breezy here but that just gives more time for staying inside and playing with some little munchkins!!! And I have been doing that very thing!!

 

My 'just for fun' card today uses a darling Tilda With Two Little Gifts from the NEW A Christmas Story Collection available at Magnolia-licious along with the NEW Nativity Collection. Gosh!!! So many new holiday stamps!!! I have used Bazzill for the Base and for all double matting and all of the DP is from the Dovecraft Merry Magic paper collection. The image was stamped on X-Press It and colored with Copics and Flexmarkers, adding a touch of Stardust Stickles for some sparkle. I wanted this card to be all about hot pink and turquoise so I have used some hot pink ribbons and some turquoise sparkle snowflakes and whatever those other things are...adding a snowflake charm and some turquoise rhinestones.

 

On the inside just more of those fun DPs, snowflakes and ribbons....Simple...simple!!!!

A very happy day to everyone!! I hope your week has started on a very positive note and that you are enjoying each and every moment!

 

This is a card I made just for the sheer fun of it since I just received this darling Magnolia image which is a limited edition stamp from some company in the Netherlands. She was sent to me by one of my DT friends and I have no idea what Tilda's name is and no idea what the name of the shop is. I'm sure that if someone knows this information, they will share it with us. The base and all double matting are Bazzill and the DP is called Idas Var Barbeint which is something about barefoot???? I can tell you that the 12" x 12" paper has 4 6" squares on it. The image was stamped on X-Press It and colored with Copics and Flexmarkers before cutting it out with SB Petite Ovals and adding some pre-gathered heart lace around it. I used Stardust Stckles for the lace on her dress and a touch of Glossy Accents on the center of the flower. The organza butterflies are from my stash. For the horizontal I used some Vintage Seam Binding, tying it into a triple fluffy bow.The base of the left side floral treatment is from a Jolanda Bergmans designed die from Noor! Design which I cut out, embossed, and colored with chalks before removing from the die--sorry but the picture doesn't show the detail unless you look closely!!! I then also chalked a white Wild Rose and some Hip Rosebuds and added them with some Rose Leaves. The front was finished with some double pearl trim from Michaels as well as a few Self-Adhesive Pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts.

 

 

The inside is very simple because I wanted all of that lovely paper to show. I only added some seam binding bows, more organza butterflies and a strip of pearl lace.

Piglets Are Cute, Too!!! Winner!!

 

 

A very happy day to everyone and best wishes for a great weekend filled with lots of fun things. Sorry I have been a bit out of touch but sometimes LIFE just gets in the way!! Have you ever found that to be the case??? But maybe things are back to normal---whatever that is!!!!

 

This is a very fun easel card that I made for my posting day over at Wild Orchid Crafts Blog and if you have never been over there, we would love to have you visit and see what the DT members have done with WOC products each day! For many of us it seems very strange to see a piglet on a holiday card, but in the Scandinavian countries a pig is a sign of very good luck for the holidays, reminiscent of olden times when a peasant family's wealth was tied up in its precious pig. They even have events where the prize is a marzipan pig!!! Personally I would much prefer cloudberry jam rather than a marzipan pig...hahahahah

 



 

For my card, the base and all double matting is Bazzill and the DP is from the Doodlebug North Pole Paper Pad. The cute image on the front of the card is Tilda with Pigling from the A Christmas Story 2012 Collection which is available over at Magnolia-licious along with the very NEW Nativity Collection. On the base of the easel I used little Sweet Piglet. The images were stamped on X-Press It and colored with Copics and Flexmarkers before cutting them out with SB. I also used several products from Wild Orchid Crafts: Satin Ribbon, Holly Leaves, Poinsettia Blooms, Pearl Brads, and Self-Adhesive Pearls. The little clay gift on the front is from my stash and was originally a mini-ornament.

Let It Snow!!! NEWS!! WINNERS!! SWEET STUFF!!

 

 

Happy Day to everyone!!! Let It Snow!! Gosh, I can't believe I even said those words!! haha But it will be here before we can turn around so I can just hope that everything is wonderful in your world!! I went back to my undergraduate Alma Mater, Western Carolina University, yesterday for a tailgating party and the football game afterwards and it was a blast. I was with about 8 of my sorority sisters as well as lots more friends and although we lost the game, it was wonderful reliving old, FUN times. I had not been to a football game there in more than 40 years and I was soooo amazed at all of the changes...Of course, anything changes greatly in that historic number of years!! hahah

 

For my fun card today I have used Tilda In The Mountains from the A Christmas Story Collection which is now available at Magnolia-licious. She was colored with Copics and Flexmarkers, adding Liquid Applique for the fur, MS Silver Glitter pen to the ski poles, Prisma Glitter for snowflakes, Glossy Accents for goggles, and the snow on the ground is Snow-Tex with more Prisma Glitter. The base and all double matting is Bazzill and the DP is from the EP Winter Wishes Paper Pad. For the horizontal I used a ruffled organza ribbon tied into a double flat bow. All of the glitter snowflakes are varying sizes of plastic ornaments topped with clear rhinestones. For the sentiment I used 'Let It Snow' from the Whimsy Stamps Holiday Mini Tickets set cut out with the Mini Ticket Die. Finally I used more rhinestones to soften the corners.
