Praying Angel...a Bit of News...a Touch of SWEET STUFF!!

A very happy and fruitful Wednesday to each of you! I hope your week is going well and at least we are half finished and on our way after today to another of those fun weekends. I wanted to be sure before I share this bit of news BUT the Vitamin D and Calcium levels are improving and I am feeling GREAT!!!! AND I am no longer feeling so ill on the Arimidex so things are looking UP, UP, UP!!!! I'm not ready to take in ironing or wash windows for you yet...LOLOL...but MUCH improvement. It may be a few more weeks before I can leap tall buildings!!! AND I have also been asked by the Hope Women's Cancer Center to document my PINK JOURNEY and I am thrilled to be able to share my 10 month experience with others so that maybe it can help them in some small way.

I wanted to share with you a card I made using a Whiff of Joy stamp and she is Praying Angel from the new Christmas Collection designed by Elisabeth Bell. I used Bazzill for the base and all matting and the DP is Webster's Pages...such delightful papers, don't you think? All panels were machine stitched. She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics and Spica Buttermilk. I used Angel Wings Shimmerz and Starlight Stickles on her wings. The image was cut out with round and scalloped Nesties and then surrounded by wee eyelet lace. For the vertical I used 7/8" Old Willow Organza from the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop. Bonnie has an unbelievable number of colors and widths in this organza ribbon! It is so delightful to use on a card and ties beautifully! To the bow, I added a sweet little angel charm. For a floral treatment I used several pieces of gold pine branches which are offered by Magnolia/Sweden and some gold and red berries which I found in an antique shop. To finish the front I added gold pearls to soften the corners. You will notice that I ran a bead of Stickles around the matting on the outside and inside panels.

On the left panel of the inside I used another vertical ribbon treatment with angel dangling from gold thread. Behind the bow, if you look closely, you will see that the angel has lost several of her wing feathers...but I think she can still FLY...smiles! On the right panel I decorated the tree with a gold button star on top and small gold pearls all over the tree, also adding stickles to each of the butterflies on the tree. For the sentiment I used Whiff of Joy's Season's Sentiments which I gold embossed before cutting them out with a Fancy Shape. Another organza bow anchors yet more white feathers.

I hope you will let me know what you think of my little creation.
