An Autumn Ensemble and Christmas SWEET STUFF!!!

A very happy day to everyone! I hope that you are having a delightful week. Our weather is definitely AUTUMN and I can tell by the huge amount of leaves on the ground. I am such a spring and summer person that, although the fall colors are beautiful, I don't like this season at all because I know that winter will soon follow...sigh!!!

For my posting at the CutCardStock blog today I was inspired by the bright and fun colors of SUNFLOWERS. I made a happy vase using a straight side clear glass vase, some dowels, and cardstocks from the CutCardstock shop...AND with my scraps I made some matching note cards.

All directions and more views are available at the CutCardStock blog so I hope you will come over and let me know what you think of my project this time!!

Nice vase! When you wrote about sunflowers yesterday, I imagined you would be making the sunflowers and that the rods were the stalks... I like that your vase is so colorful!

Beautiful way to decorate a plain vase and celebrate what is good about the fall season. I like the jute belt wrapped around it. The matching note cards are so sweet and simple.
I have dreaded the winter before too but I have finally come to realize that winter too has a purpose. It's a good time to relax and refresh our souls. We are often so busy in the warmer months trying to rush away to go on vacation, be at family reunions plus garden and house renovate and all the other things that need to be done during the warmer days. But in the winter we get to slow down. Curl up and read that good book you haven't had time to pick up. Share a mug of hot chocolate with a good friend while catching up. Pick up that canvas and paint brush or knitting needles that were put aside last spring when you opened the windows and put out the lawn chairs...that we often don't take the time to sit down in. And then come spring we are rested and ready to tackle all those outdoor activities again.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work! :)
