A very Happy Tuesday to each of you!! I hope that you are enjoying your week as much as I am. I am away on a little getaway with my Auntie and that's always great fun!!
Today is my first time to post on the CutCardStock Blog so I hope you will come over and give me an evaluation of my first tutorial...eeeek!! The product focus is on Brown, Orange, and Gold CS and the theme is Fall. My project is certainly not my idea, but it is one I have enjoyed making for a long time. The first time I saw this type of card with a little gift inside was when I received a lovely example from the very talented Iris Wiechmann while I was going through chemotherapy. I have made 3 examples....from the very clean and simple on the left to the most decorative on the right...
From the CutCardstock shop I have used Brown, Dark Orange, and Gold papers from the Basis-Colored Cardstock Collection and Cryogen White for the image. I also used Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to put most of the projects together. I also used a Darice Fall Leaf Background folder to emboss all of the gold layers and a brown satin ribbon for the closure on all cards.
For the clean and simple example I used a thank you sentiment that was computer generated and sized the inside pocket to hold 2 Ritter chocolate bars.
For the middle card, which is for an under-the-weather friend, I sized the pocket to hold several tea bags and honey packets and made a belly band for the package of tissues. I made a couple of paper rosettes, added computer generated sentiments, and some punched oak leaves.
For this most decorative card, I used a darling image, Loving Autumn Annie, designed by Mi Ran Jung and colored with Copics and Promarkers. To the front I also added punched oak leaves and mulberry flowers. On the inside I used a lovely sentiment from the Autumn Letter Seals by Whimsy Stamps and a satin bow. The pocket was sized for two small canisters of Godiva chocolate pearls.
SWEET STUFF!!!
I didn't have time to take a picture of the SWEET STUFF but all of you know what my typical Flowers/Ribbons/Embellies/Stamps surprises look like. So here is the big favor I am asking you to do this time. Please go over to the CutCardstock Blog and leave me a brief comment about my tutorial before Friday morning and you will be in for the SWEET STUFF prize!!! The winner will be selected from the comments on my tutorial at the CutCardstock blog posting. Big hugs and many thanks!! Good Luck!!
Also, thank you so much for coming by today and I hope to see you again real soon. Until then, Big Hugs!!!

Love how you created these with a special person in mind. When I make my cards I spend that time praying for the person I'm making it for. These are really lovely. There's been a little fall air here in middle TN & it's invigorating and so ... I may follow your 'tutorial ' and give this a whirl! Thank you for sharing.
Cool idea! And very well explained, thanks Jacque!
