Happy Friday to everyone and hopefully you are ready for a marvelous weekend. It is still so brutally HOT here in the mountains that about the only thing there is to do is to stay in and craft...what a shame, huh? haha But I hope you are enjoying your summer no matter where you may be!!
Today I wanted to show you a little boy card which is certainly not my forte but I think this little image is just so darn cute!! I used Little Jack and Bobbin Gone Fishin' from the Little Cottage Cuties Collection illustrated by Elisabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps, stamped him on X-Press It and colored him with Copics and Promarkers! Check out that cute little puppy and those darling bare feet (thanks, Gunilla!)!!! They are definitely ready for a fun day!! The base of the card is Bazzill, the double matting is PTI, and the DP is from the EP Hello Summer paper pad. For the vertical I used a cream grosgrain topped with PTI satin ribbon tied into a double flat bow...and dangling today's catch on some hemp twine...the fish are actually buttons with the backs snipped off. I also added a Gone Fishin' button to the image panel.
The inside is very simple because I wanted to emphasize the fun, cheerful DP as well as the jotting spot with the fishing pole and wee fish (more buttons)! I hope you enjoy my little card this time!!

Oh my! What a great card! I just love that sweet image and your coloring, as usual, is perfect. Hope you stay cool and have a wonderful weekend. We were 106 yesterday and supposed to be over 100 again today. We are about 15 inches down on rain and everything has turned brown here. What a shame.

LOVE, Love, love this card! The colors are bright and cheery and your fishing details are spot on!
I make more fishing cards than any other...why??? because the hubs and I (now home from the hospital but very wobbly, and his walker never arrived ) are vendors at Fishing Flea markets in the late Autumn and winter, and he makes all the "fishing stuff" and I make "fishing cards, address books, journals, bookmarks etc. (I even do stamping on candles)
Granted, I have been searching for years now for DEEP SEA fishing images, and SURF fishing images...they are always fresh water. but most people still like what I make.
This little guys would make a great addition to my collection.
But as always i wish good luck for everyone! thanks for the opportunity to win him.
