Tilda Brings Packages to Just Magnolia

Happy Saturday everyone!!! Gosh, I hope that everyone in the US survived Black Friday...and everyone outside the US had a marvelous day and week too!!! For those of you who have never heard of Black Friday, it is the first official day of Christmas shopping in the US with sales beginning as early as midnight with people lined up for miles to buy things on sale. I personally am not a Black Friday shopper--internet shopping is my speed!!!!

This week at Just Magnolia our challenge is provided by the very talented Donalda. You can flip and rotate the sketch any way you wish, as long as we can still see the elements of the sketch. You can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice and as long as the main image on your creation is a Magnolia stamp, you will qualify to be in the draw for the fab prize. And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please. The very nice prize this week is provided by Crafts U Love. So come on over and join in with us this week!!! We would love to see your creations!!

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base, PTI Vintage Cream and Spring Rain for all matting, and the cute and sweet DP is Mary by Melissa Frances. All background panels are machine stitched. I used that darling little Tilda with Wedding Gifts from the Wedding Collection over at Magnolia-licious which can be used for any festive occasion, not just for weddings...she is carrying Christmas gifts today...wink!! It looks as though she may not be available right now, but if you would like to have her, contact Diana at Magnolia-licious and I'm sure she will make sure to get her for you. She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics before cutting her out with rectangular Nesties. The Shopping List is from MF and I gathered and added MF crepe paper to one side. The sentiment is from the Holiday Ticket Sentiments cut out with the Ticket Die, both from Whimsy Stamps. The floral treatment is a Small Flat Gardenia and Cherry Blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts. To complete the front I added a small flat bow and pearls to soften the corners.

The inside of the card is very simple because I just love this paper and wanted as much of it to show as possible, with the sweet sentiments, cute characters, and lovely script. I only added a double Nestie for a jotting spot, and a knotted ribbon holding a sleigh charm.

Thank you so much for coming by today and I hope you will visit me often! It is always such a joy to see that you have been by! In case you have missed it, I have some SWEET STUFF on the posting below AND tomorrow is another giveaway at SUNDAY SENSATIONS from Magnolia-licious!!! So I hope to see you then! Until the next time, I send big Maggie hugs!!!!

Snowy Hug at Friday Sketchers and SWEET STUFF!!!!

Happy Friday to everyone!!! I hope you have had a marvelous week and are well-prepared for an even more marvelous weekend!!!

This week at Friday Sketchers #130 we are hosted by the amazingly talented Jeanette from Canada who has given us a delightful sketch. We hope you will come over and join with us to show us your interpretation of the sketch and be in for the draw for a great prize from Lauretta's Digital Stamps.

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and all matting and the DP is from the Bo Bunny Winter Joy Collection. I used that cute little Snowy Hug from Magnolia-licious and that darling couple is AVAILABLE at Diana's shop right now!!!!!! These cuties were stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, adding a touch of Liquid Applique and Diamond Dust. For the horizontal I used 1.5" Wired Solid ReversiblePurple Ribbon with the wire removed and for the vertical I used a trimmed panel using the Tilda's Lace Doohickey Die from Magnolia-licious and 5/8" Purple Glitz Ribbon-- both ribbons are from Really Reasonable Ribbon. To complete the front I used purple and white snowflakes from the mini-ornament section of Michaels and purple rhinestones, as well as a flat bow and a dangling silver snowman charm.

The inside just used the same embellies as the front with different configurations of snowflakes.

I hope you like my little creation and will be able to join us at Friday Sketchers this week. We would love to see your card using Jeanette's sketch!! Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!

Star Tilda at Just Magnolia

A very happy Saturday to everyone! I wish for each of you an exceptional weekend and loads of fun!

This week over at the Just Magnolia our challenge is White + One, so white plus any other colour for your papers and embellishments. You can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice and as long as the main image on your creation is a Magnolia stamp you will qualify to be in the draw for the fabulous prize offered by Letraset, the makers of Promarkers . And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please. The challenge closes next Thursday 25 November 8pm UK time. We hope you will come over and check out the lovely cards/projects of the DT and be so excited that you will want to join with us this week!!

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and all matting, the DP is from the TILDA Paperpack Santa's Christmas. Although this is a Christmas paper it is NOT red, but rather more of a dark pink-red...gorgeous quality of papers though!! All background panels are machine stitched and Stickled with Star Dust. The sweet, sweet little Star Tilda from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, and cut out with oval Nesties. Her dress was then covered with a coat of Shimmerz, and gold glitter was used for the star she is holding. I used a lovely hand-crocheted doily which was a gift from my sweet friend Suzan and placed some half-pearls in each of the florets. The horizontal is 5/8" Sheer Ruffle Edge White from Really Reasonable Ribbon and the bow is anchoring a small silver angel charm. The floral treatment was placed on white satin leaves and are made with Ivory Curly Wild Rose, Ivory Open Rose, Rosy Pink Heather Stems, and 6mm Ivory Rose Buds, all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The little berries were found in a little local antique shop. Finally I added pearls to soften the corners.

For the simple inside I used a couple of paper doilies for focal points on each panel, added a few tiny flowers, some of the same ribbon, and a double Nestie jotting spot.

I hope you like my little creation and will decide to join with us at Just Magnolia this week. We would love to see your WHITE + ONE cards/projects!

Thank you so much for dropping by to check on my Maggies and ME---that should be a song!!! lol I appreciate each one of you so very much and hope you will come back often. Please remember that Sunday is another SUNDAY SENSATIONS from MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS day!!! So be sure to drop by right here and throw your name in for a chance at something really cute this week!! To complete the front I used tiny snowflakes to soften the corners and the floral treatment is made of Petaloo poinsettias.

Snowie at Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop and SWEET STUFF!!!!

A very happy Saturday to everyone! I hope your week was a marvelous one and that now you have begun a most enjoyable and fun weekend. The weather here for the past few days has been so magnificent but I am peeking out all the time to see what is in store the next moment. I really do dread cold and snow and ice....BUT we have to get through this in order to see the flowers again in the spring. It is always such a sad time to see all of the roses being chopped away into little sticks...eeeeek!!! How many minutes til Spring????

Welcome to the November Blog Hop at Really Reasonable Ribbon! If you have arrived here from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings site then you are at the right place and on the right track. If you have arrived here first, please start the hop at the RRR Ramblings so that you will know what terrific prizes await you this month. We were asked to use ribbons from the November Ribbon Club Assortment and they are so beautiful---you can see them in my SWEET STUFF below!!!! I wanted to use all of them BUT my brain just could not figure out how to be that creative....smile... You will find that several of the ribbons each month are unique to club members and are not available in the shop---one of the great benefits of being a member of the Ribbon Club!! Also, I would like to remind you that the current challenge at RRR Ramblings is asking that you use blue/silver/white....the same colors in this month's Ribbon Club Assortment!

For my DT Sample Card, I used Bazzill for the base and all matting. The DP is Winter Wonderland by Dovecraft and all background panels are machine stitched. I used the little Magnolia Snowman with Star from Magnolia-licious who looks as though he is out of stock at the moment but there are several other snowmen that are just as cute available! The image was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics, adding a touch of Silver Spica, Liquid Applique on the hat and lantern, Silver MS glitter for the star, and Diamond Dust for the snow. For the horizontal I used a base of 1 1/2" Light Blue Grosgrain and topped it with with 5/8" Shimmer Satin Silver, and a lovely Silver Grey with Snowflake. I used one tiny star from Stars in Line Silver for some dimension on the star in Snowie's hand. Finally I added snowflake ornaments from Michaels and centered them with blue rhinestones. I also added the same gems to soften the corner and added a dangling silver snowflake charm from the flat bow made with a Bow-Easy Tool. I am often asked about my bows and I can share with you that I CANNOT make a bow without this tool...it is amazing for sure!!!

The simple inside of my card is using just more of the same from the front.

SWEET STUFF!!!!! And since this is BLOG HOP time, it must also be a touch of SWEET STUFF time!!! I hope you enjoy my offering this time! Please leave a comment before Thursday, November 18 at noon EST in order to be eligible. You KNOW that I ship all over the world so that is not a problem at all. I really enjoy seeing where all of the little packages go!

1 Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Poinsettia Flourish Set
1 November Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon
Large Snowflakes
Small Snowflakes
1 Bunch of Blue Mulberry Roses
2 Bunches of Blue Mulberry Cherry Blossoms

Tilda Hangs a Star at Just Magnolia

A very happy Saturday to everyone! I hope you are beginning a magnificent weekend! I woke up this morning to 29 degree (F) weather and snow flurries all over the place...so I am hoping as the day goes on that the weather will at least warm up a little bit...BUT tonight is supposed to be colder!! It is not supposed to be this cold so early in the year. And for those of you leaving DST, don't forget to change those clocks!!

I have some EXCITING news for you today!! I have been invited by Paul and Siri to join the magnificent Design Team of Wild Orchid Crafts which has the most gorgeous selection of flowers and embellishments in all of Cyberia!! If you have never visited their shop, it is a real experience!!! So drop by and see what you think of their lovely flowers! Gosh, I feel like Br'er Rabbit being thrown in the briar patch. As much as I love using flowers on my cards, I feel like I'm in heaven!!! Big smile!!!

At Just Magnolia this week we have our Special Monthly Challenge which as always is sponsored by Heidi and her team from Simon Says Stamp with a $30 voucher, and she even pays the shipping! With over 100,000 items in stock, Simon is proud to offer the best selection of Rubber Stamps, Scrapbooking, Artist Trading Cards, Altered Art, and Paper Crafting Supplies in the world! The theme for our Special Monthly Challenge is "Anything Goes". But this month we have added the option of using Beads on your creation. You can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice and as long as the main image on your creation is a Magnolia stamp you will qualify to be in the draw for the fab prize. And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please. The challenge closes next Thursday 11th November 8pm.

For my DT Sample card, I used Bazzill for the base and all matting. The Magnolia DP is from the new Merry Little Christmas Paper Pack at Magnolia-licious. All background panels were machine stitched. I used the precious little Tilda With Hanging Star from the A Merry Little Christmas Collection also available at Magnolia-licious. This little angel along with several others fit wonderfully in the round Nesties. You will find the new Christmas Collection listed as Merry Christmas 2010 on the left sidebar at the shop. I just love every single stamp in this new collection--they are absolutely darling and so many of them can be used for other occasions and events. Back to my card...this cutie was colored with Copics, adding Starlight Stickles for the wings and Gold Spica for the star. For the vertical treatment I used wide eyelet lace, a pink stitched grosgrain and some gorgeous Sparkling White Velvet. For the horizontal I used some bead trim to repeat the ornaments on the DP. AND for the floral treatment I used all sizes and kinds of pink roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. Aren't those rosebuds the sweetest little things?!?!

For the inside of my card I wanted to hang some more ornaments and use the same ribbon treatment as the front. So how did I do on beads??

I hope you like my little creation and will join with us this week at the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog...remember ANYTHING GOES with the option of BEADS!!!! We would love for you to grab one of your Maggies and have fun along with us!!!

Thank you so much for dropping by to see what little Tilda is up to this fine day and we hope you will come back and see us often. It tickles out hearts to see that you have visited...Have a wonderful evening and until we next meet, BIG MAGGIE HUGS for YOU!!!

A Hanglar Holiday at Friday Sketchers #127

A very happy Friday to everyone...and welcome to the weekend!!! Isn't it wonderful!!! Gosh, we are supposed to have snow flurries and I am not even close to being ready for that!!! So will you please keep your fingers crossed with me that the weathermen don't know what they are talking about??

Today is Challenge #127 at Friday Sketchers and we are being hosted by Inge from the Netherlands who has designed such a fun and challenging sketch for us to use this week. I hope you will decide to join with us this week and show us your interpretation of the sketch. All rules are on the right sidebar at the challenge blog. This week there is a wonderful prize given by our sponsor, *Wink *Wink Ink.

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and all matting and the DP is from the Fröjdefull Jul Collection by Maja Design, which was a special gift from the extremely creative and talented Gunilla. Thank you so much, sweetie--I just love it! All background panels were machine stitched. The darling image I used is a hÄnglar & stÄnglar cutie which I stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics, adding a bit of Starlight Stickles and Silver Spica. I added a little touch of Stempleglede florishes to the edging before adding a silver metal cornerpiece. For the horizontal I used a 1 1/2" Red Grosgrain and 7/8" Silver Grey Organza, adding a snowflake and bow with a dangling silver heart charm.

For the inside of the card, I simply used more of the same papers and details from the front of the card.

I hope you like my little creation and will be able to join us at Friday Sketchers this week. We would love to see your card using Inge's sketch!! Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!

Praying Angel...a Bit of News...a Touch of SWEET STUFF!!

A very happy and fruitful Wednesday to each of you! I hope your week is going well and at least we are half finished and on our way after today to another of those fun weekends. I wanted to be sure before I share this bit of news BUT the Vitamin D and Calcium levels are improving and I am feeling GREAT!!!! AND I am no longer feeling so ill on the Arimidex so things are looking UP, UP, UP!!!! I'm not ready to take in ironing or wash windows for you yet...LOLOL...but MUCH improvement. It may be a few more weeks before I can leap tall buildings!!! AND I have also been asked by the Hope Women's Cancer Center to document my PINK JOURNEY and I am thrilled to be able to share my 10 month experience with others so that maybe it can help them in some small way.

I wanted to share with you a card I made using a Whiff of Joy stamp and she is Praying Angel from the new Christmas Collection designed by Elisabeth Bell. I used Bazzill for the base and all matting and the DP is Webster's Pages...such delightful papers, don't you think? All panels were machine stitched. She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics and Spica Buttermilk. I used Angel Wings Shimmerz and Starlight Stickles on her wings. The image was cut out with round and scalloped Nesties and then surrounded by wee eyelet lace. For the vertical I used 7/8" Old Willow Organza from the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop. Bonnie has an unbelievable number of colors and widths in this organza ribbon! It is so delightful to use on a card and ties beautifully! To the bow, I added a sweet little angel charm. For a floral treatment I used several pieces of gold pine branches which are offered by Magnolia/Sweden and some gold and red berries which I found in an antique shop. To finish the front I added gold pearls to soften the corners. You will notice that I ran a bead of Stickles around the matting on the outside and inside panels.

On the left panel of the inside I used another vertical ribbon treatment with angel dangling from gold thread. Behind the bow, if you look closely, you will see that the angel has lost several of her wing feathers...but I think she can still FLY...smiles! On the right panel I decorated the tree with a gold button star on top and small gold pearls all over the tree, also adding stickles to each of the butterflies on the tree. For the sentiment I used Whiff of Joy's Season's Sentiments which I gold embossed before cutting them out with a Fancy Shape. Another organza bow anchors yet more white feathers.

I hope you will let me know what you think of my little creation.

Snowy Hugs at RRR Challenge and a touch of SWEET STUFF!!

Hello everyone and a very happy Tuesday to each of you! I hope you have begun a marvelous week and are accomplishing many of the things you would like to accomplish! And welcome to November!!

Challenge #11 at Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings is to make "something" using the colors BLUE, SILVER, and WHITE and that "something" can be a card, layout, multi media piece, tag, ATC, hairbow, you name it!!! As long as it follows the theme and has ribbon on it, you're in. The deadline is November 13 and all the rules can be found on the Challenge Posting...so won't you please join us and show us your lovely creations! For this challenge we are being sponsored by Scor-Pal which offers the most magnificent cardmaking tape in the universe, Scor-Tape. Scor-Pal is providing a wonderful prize for some lucky participant!

For my Challenge Card I used Bazzill for the base and double matting and the DP is from the Winter Wonderful Collection by Best Creations. The two major background panels are machine stitched. The darling Snowy Hug Tilda and Snowie were stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, adding Liquid Applique to the caps and jacket for trim and Twinklets for all the snow. This little cutie will be available VERY soon over at Magnolia-licious. For the vertical ribbon treatment I used 7/8" White Organza and White Glitter Ric Rac from the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop. The bow was tied with the Bow-Easy Tool which Bonnie also has available. To finish the card, I made floral arrangements using mulberry roses and cherry blossoms resting on silver snowflakes and some lovely leaves made with an L-Em punch which was a gift from a very special friend. Thank you so very much, Christina! I just LOVE it!! I then added silver beads to carry through with this challenge's theme.

I hope you like my little creation and will put your BLUE, SILVER, WHITE ideas to work and join in with us for this challenge!
