Oh, Jacque~

Those roses are just glorious, and I am sure the smell is so delightful. I love the bright pink. Do you have any purple roses? They can smell so wonderful.

If you are ever in Sarasota, Florida and you visit the Ringling Museum...Mrs. Ringling had a beautiful rose garden, with roses from all over the world. It is lovely in the morning, but by mid afternoon they are completely in the sun. There are benches to sit on as you reflect, the rose bushes are labeled with scientific and "lay-man's" names, as well as who gave the plant to them...and from where. I know you would enjoy it. The art is incredible also!

I dried some baby roses...just by leaving them out...they are not pressed. Do you know of a way I can use them on a card, besides cutting them in half? They have held their shape perfectly. I know I couldn't put them in an envelope...I would need to hand it to the person. They are beautiful. Do you have baby roses?

Thank you so much for sharing this special part of your life with us!

Traci S.

Gorgeous photos, love you garden. i have a rose bush in my garden that was my nans favourite, she died on my 1st wedding anniversary nearly 10yrs ago. At my old house the rose bush didnt like the soil and didnt do very well, but since i moved 3yrs ago it has gone from strength to strength. I have just been out to look at it and it has 35 buds on it already!! and its only May!!! but we have had a very mild few weeks so everything in the garden is about a month ahead of schedual.
I cant wait to see how many blooms my bish actually produces this year

Lovely!! We had an very hard freeze in early Nov. Roses didn't have time to harden off so many were lost in our area. Most of mine are making a comeback but it'll be months before they bloom. TFS

Jacque your yard looks grand. I need to get out and prune a bunch too - have been working on it - and weeding and we have our veggie garden in. I know the weather is crazy and the pollen has been very bad up where we are. So many cold grey days - it's good to see the sun.
