How About Some Spaghetti?? at Friday Sketchers 74

A very Happy Friday to each of you and I hope you have all had a magnificent week!!! We have had chilly and rainy all week but with hopes of a warm and pleasant weekend!!! At least no SNOW like some of you are having ALREADY!!!!

Today at Friday Sketchers 74 we are being hosted by the splendidly talented Carole of England who has given us a fun and challenging sketch for this week. I would love for you all to come over to Friday Sketchers to check out the lovely cards that each of the DT have made for you as samples and I also hope that each of you will participate by using this same sketch to show us your interpretation of Carole's sketch. Please link your card to us using Mr Linky and make sure that you link back to Friday Sketchers in your blog post in order to be eligible for a wonderful prize from Elaine at Quixotic Paperie.

My card this week is made 'specially for Diana Crick of Magnolia-licious to celebrate her new kitchen which is done in black, white, and red!! I have also made it into another easel card to meet the requirements of the Technique Challenge TLC242 at SCS. And I have made another image into a tag attached with magnets (Thanks, Laurel!) as a bookmark for Diana's recipe book--the card is still a card, even after the bookmark is put into use. In addition, I made a matching presentation box. So, Diana, hope you like it 'cause it's on its way to you as I type!!!

The card base is Bazzill, all matting is PTI, and the DP is such a mixture of digitals and who-knows-what from Christina--thanks, sweetie!! Most of the major panels are machine-stitched. I used darling little Pasta Edwin which is from the Yummy For Your Tummy Collection 2009 and is in stock right now over at Magnolia-licious.

I would like to remind everyone that all members at the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Site always get an additional 10% off of every order by using the SECRET word. Yes, that is an additional 10% off of Diana's already low prices!!!!!

Pasta Edwin was colored with Copics and a touch of Spica Silver on the fork, cut out and propped up on dimensionals. For the panel behind Edwin I used tomato brads for the corners and added a tiny bit of Souffle green for the stems. I also made a wrought iron pot rack for the kitchen charms--mitt, fork, cookbook and finally added a PASTA button at the bottom right. For the bookmark I added a bit of black Scrappers' Floss.

For the flat panel I used a red and white and a black and white checked ribbon, a Bow-Easy bow, and mushroom brads for the stops. I also added a rectangular silver frame for the Made With Love sentiment which is also from the Yummy Collection. For the presentation box I used BoBunny black dotted paper for the base and a few repeats from the front of the card but used some red rickrack on the back.

Since some of you have asked, I will make every attempt to share with you the Copics I have used with each posting. In addition to Copics, I have also used Spica Silver, and Inkessentials Opaque White. I also used a Souffle Pen on the tomato brads for the greenery.

Thank you so very much for dropping by to see what's happening in my world!! I appreciate every one of you so much and especially love to read what you have to say about my creations. I hope that you will come again often. Have a delightful weekend and until our paths cross again...Maggie Hugs For Each of You!!!
