A Flower for YOU at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge

A very happy Friday to each of you. I hope you have had a delightful week and are looking forward to a marvelous weekend. My little auntie is taking me to Atlantic City tomorrow for a few days to celebrate the wonderful news I received last week. So I am looking forward to our getaway!!

Today is a new challenge over at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge which is being hosted by Sara. She has selected such a fun challenge this week---PEARLS and SWIRLS! So we would love for you to come on over and play along with us so that you can be in for a wonderful prize!

For my card I used a darling little hÄnglar & stÄnglar image--one of my favorites actually. She was stamped twice on X-Press It and colored with Copics and Flexmarkers before cutting out one of the images to prop up for some dimension. The base and all double matting is Bazzill and the DP is all from the Prima Sun Kiss Collection. I used a mint Organza Ribbon for the horizontal and tied it into a double flat bow centered with a Large Pearl Brad and placed it on a lovely Pearl Swirl. For the floral treatment I used a White Chrysanthemum, Cherry Blossoms, Sweetheart Blossom all from Wild Orchid Crafts, and some spider daisies from my stash. I softened the corners with Self-Adhesive Pearls.



The inside was left very simple because I wanted those lovely papers to show--just a couple of organza bows and part of a pearl swirl!

YeeeeeHawwwww at Lili's Little Fairies Challenge and SWEET STUFF!!!

Happy Thursday everyone!!! I hope your week is going very well and that you have experienced many smiles already this week!! It has been in the 80s F (almost 30C) here this week but I am not going to complain--I much prefer this weather to the snow and ice!!!!!

This week at Lili's Little Fairies Challenge Blog we have a FUN ANYTHING GOES week so we hope you will join in with us and have as much fun as we did. We would LOVE to see your wonderful creations using a LOTV image! So hop on over and know that there will be a marvelous surprise for some lucky participant!!

The card that I made uses Bazzill for the base and the inside matting...the front matting and all of the DP is from a kit by Cosmo Cricket. I wanted the card to be quite masculine and therefore all of the embellishments are from the same 9,000 piece kit which is quite old. The front of the card is a double pocket card but made with layers rather than with folding a single sheet. The cute cowboy image I have used is from the upcoming release at LOTV which is scheduled to be out on May 9th...isn't he a little darlin'??? I just love that little puppy with the headdress!!! You can see many of the SNEAK PEEKS right HERE The image was colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding a touch of MS gold glitter for the stars. I added a couple of chipboard corners, a chipboard "HI", and some chipboard buttons tied with twine for both of the tag buttons.


For the first panel on the inside I made another pocket to hold a gift card...and for the jotting panel I used a MF envelope with tag for a sweet message!
