SWEET STUFF and a Darling Tilda at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge!!!

Happy Friday to everyone!!! And I am so happy you have dropped by!! I hope you have had a delightful week and are looking forward to an exquisite weekend. We are supposed to have some nice weather so I can soak up some Vitamin D and do some inventory out in the yard and maybe even supervise a little bit...smile!!! Gosh, my next SURVIVOR appointment is April 19th so let's blow them away...want to?????

This week at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge the very inspirational Bev is hosting and we have a really fun sketch by Kathy to play with and I hope you will decide to come over and join in with us!!! You can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice and as long as we can see all of the elements of the sketch and the main image on your creation is a hÄnglar & stÄnglar or Magnolia stamp you will qualify to be in the draw for the fabulous prize. For my DT Sample Card following the sketch, I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting. All of the DP is from the Melissa Frances 5th Avenue Paper Pad and all panels are machine stitched. I used Tilda with Flower Pot from the new Butterfly Dreams Collection at Magnolia-licious. I think she is the cutest thing in her duster coat!! She was stamped on XPress It Blending Card and colored with Copics, adding a touch of Spica and Stickles to the butterflies and flowers. The image was double matted and placed on a paper doily. The vertical is edged with a lovely lace which was a gift from sweet Suzan...thanks, Sweetie...I just love it!! For the horizontal I used Pink Tulip Vintage Seam Binding Ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts which I tied into a quadruple bow and topped it with a small gold heart. The floral treatment is also from WOC: a Gardenia Stem Flower, Aster Daisies, and Hip Rosebuds. The front is finished with WOC Pearls.



For the first panel on the inside, I repeated the vertical from the front and dangled a gold heart charm from the double bow. On the jotting panel I merely added a seam binding swag held with 3 vintage looking buttons. The message can be written on the DP since it is so light in color and unbusy in design.

SWEET STUFF...Gosh, I got so excited that I can't wait til my REAL 2nd Blog Anniversary which is April 12 when I started my blog with the first card you see to the left. My sincere thanks (I think...hahahah) to the very talented Christina, who is the very best mentor that anyone could ever ask for..(Christina, much love and many hugs for your constant support and help)...I can honestly say that Christina taught me EVERYTHING that I know about cardmaking..about Copics...about all of the innuendoes... and had so much confidence in me and supported me so much in every card that I ever made....I don't think I would be the contributor I am today without her input!!!!!
So with that, I offer the first of my Anniversary SWEET STUFFS as a thanks to Christina...and more later throughout this month to include the fantastic teams and GDTs that I have been a part of....smiles!!!!!

LOTV Birthday Bumps for Papertake Weekly and WINNER!!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend and are well into a marvelous week. It has been gorgeous here BUT last night it was bad thunderstorms and tornados...so I am thankful that I am not visiting Dorothy and Toto this morning.....eeeeek!!!

This week I was invited by DawnyP over at Papertake Weekly Challenge to join in with a submission where anything goes with the option of using something new. So my NEW includes some new papers for me from Sassafras called Sweetly Smitten and a new Spellbinders Label 18.

For my card I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI and all background layers are machine stitched. I used LOTV Birthday Bumps...Gosh!! These five little bears are having so much fun, it makes me want to be a part of the frivolity!! All of the sweet animals in the New Release are just too, too cute, aren't they?!! I also used one of the darling sentiments from the Dreamy Days Set. The image was stamped on XPress It Blending Card colored with Copics, adding a bit of FlowerSoft to the grass. The floral treatment is all from Wild Orchid Crafts: 25mm Open Rose, 15mm Open Roses, and a few 5mm Closed Rosebuds. For the verticals I used matching PTI satin ribbon tied into double flat bows with one of the bows dangling a teddy bear charm.


For the first panel on the inside I made a rosette using the same ribbon and centered it with a pink Maya Road resin blossom. The jotting spot is a smaller SB Label 18 topped with a flat bow. I just had to let most of that lovely paper show!!!

This week at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge we are having our Special Monthly Challenge which is Anything Goes...but this month we have added the option of adding BUTTONS to your creation. You can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice and as long as the main image on your creation is a hÄnglar & stÄnglar or Magnolia stamp you will qualify to be in the draw for the fab prize. And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please. The challenge closes next Thursday, 7th April and the fabulous prize is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.

For my DT Sample Card I decided to try a circular easel card...with a little prodding from my friend Gunilla!!! The base is Bazzill and all matting is PTI. The DP is from the Romantic Flowers Paper Pad by Cart-US. All layers of the card were cut out with Grand Nesties. The darling little Beautiful Tilda from the new Butterfly Dreams Collection at Magnolia-licious was stamped on XPress Blending Card and colored with light Copics, adding Stardust Stickles to the lace and Prisma Glitter to the wings and butterfly. To encircle both bases I used a sweet little gathered lace which was a gift from Suzan...thank you so much, Sweetie!! I also used some circular Artisan Elements and then triple Nesties for the image. Finally I added pink satin ribbon flat bows and about a million (hahahah) tiny pearls on the outside element. I am now almost blind!!!!!!
