So Spooky Tilda at Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop and SWEET STUFF!!!

Happy Monday everyone!! I hope you all had a magnificent weekend wherever you may be and are looking forward to an even better week! I know this week will be a special one for me for sure!! This morning I have a bone density test to determine if the radiation and chemo have damaged my bones...BUT I can tell them I am 9 months older and wiser and nothing more has happened to these old bones!! hahaha Then it's just 2 days of jumping in the microwave and this chapter of my life comes to an end!!! Yippppeeeeee!!!

Today is the regular monthly Blog Hop at Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings so if you have arrived here from there you are right on track. Welcome and I hope you enjoy what I have made for you to see today!! If you have arrived here first, I might suggest that you begin the Hop at RRR Ramblings so that you will get all the directions and see what's in store for you today!! Gosh, put on those hopping shoes and lets get moving!!

For my card, I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and the DP is all from the So Spooky Collection by Magnolia. All panels were machine stitched. I have used the darling little So Spooky Tilda from Magnolia-licious, stamped her twice on Cryogen White, and colored her with Copics. I then cut out her dress and propped it up after rolling it around a bamboo skewer for dimension and contouring. For the horizontal I used some absolutely exquisite Black Organza from RRR with a double flat bow made with a Bow Easy Tool. If you have not visited Bonnie's shop at RRR, you are in for a real treat!! You will be absolutely amazed at the number of colors and widths that this organza alone is available in at her shop!!!! Not to mention all of the other offerings she has!!! To complete the front of my card, I used a combination of lavender gardenia and purple violets with ivy leaves in the upper corner, added purple rhinestone swirls, and topped the bow with a silver witch charm.

For the inside I used verticals of the black organza again, adding a bow on each panel. On the first panel I repeated the floral treatment and for a bit of levity I added a little Dresden die cut witch flying through the air. The jotting panel is a purple chipboard die cut and I again added a wee touch of the rhinestone swirls. I hope you have enjoyed my little creation and will let me know what you think of my little witchy Maggie!

SWEET STUFF...You all know that I just don't know how to do a hop or a challenge without a little bit of Sweet Stuff for my visitors so here you go!!! You all are the BEST!!! All you need to do is leave me a comment before Friday, September 17 . And of course I would really appreciate it if you would mention it to all of your friends and would consider becoming a follower over at RRR Ramblings.

Little Witchy Poo Tilda Takes A Rest at Just Magnolia and WINNER

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope you are all having a splendid weekend and are getting prepared for a very nice week. I have been walking on air all weekend because I am down to the number of radiation sessions that I can count on TWO fingers now...yipppppeeeee!! Hurry up Wednesday!!!!

This week at Just Magnolia we were asked to follow a fun and delightful sketch designed by the fun, delightful AND talented Dawny. My card was late this time because of so many appointments, scans, tests, pokes and probes BUT I am NOT complaining....YET!! I hope you will come on over to Just Magnolia and have a peek at the gorgeous DT Sample Cards and will decide to play along with us this week for a chance at a nice prize from 7 Kids College Fund.

For my card I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and the DP is Magnolia Black Dots and Making Memories. All panels were machine stitched. Little darling Sitting Witch Tilda from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, and placed on double Nesties. NOTE: Diana has a wonderful selection of Halloween images in house so jump on over before the Halloween rush!! For the vertical I used wide Black Webbing and the cutest Halloween Boo Grosgrain from Really Reasonable Ribbon. To finish the front I tied on a silver bat charm, added pearls to soften the corners. and made a floral treatment of a black gardenia and orange roses.

For the inside of my card, it's just more of the same but on the first panel I used a Halloween Seal Stamp by Catslife Press and dangled a silver jack-o-lantern from the flat bow. On the jotting panel I added a Dresden die cut witch to the upper corner.

Papilio's Trick or Treat Lida at Friday Sketchers #119 and a Wee Bit of SWEET STUFF!!

Happy Friday to each and every one of you!! I hope this week has been as much of a delight to you as it has to me!! At this point I am down to 3 more radiation sessions AND I can assure you that my respective body part is fried beyond recognition and as painful as anything I have ever experienced!!! BUT....are you ready for the wonderful news???? My cancer doctor has informed me that after all the chemo and radiation that I will NOT have to have a double mastectomy and that I have done exceptionally well with all of the treatments...The BIG C is GONE!!!! Boy, am I happy that I never complained...much...hahahah My sincere thanks to each of you for all of the positive vibes, the kind thoughts, the sincere prayers, the inspiring emails, notes, cards, etc... Gosh!!! All of those combined really did the trick!!!! Your help in keeping my brain on a POSITIVE track really helped!!

Today at Friday Sketchers I am hosting so I have made a sketch that I hope you will enjoy using and will join with us to show us how you interpret the sketch. Also this week we have a wonderful surprise for some lucky participant from 7 Kids. Thank you so much, Tab, for sponsoring my week!! So please drop on over and join in with us. Just review all of the FS instructions on the right sidebar and show us your lovely cards!

Another bit of exciting news for me before I describe my card for you!! I have been asked by the inimitable Malin, the designer of the exquisitely precious Papilio Stamps of Norway to be one of the five members of her new Design Team and I am so thrilled! I hope you will make the Papilio Blog as one of your regular visits to see the amazingly creative and inspirational work of my fellow DT members: Inge, Jorunn, Louise, and Pop's.

For my card I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and the DP is all BG Eerie from last Halloween season. All major panels are machine stitched. I have to admit that the first try for the front of my card appears as the first panel on the inside. I decided that I would not be happy without alot more dimension so I slashed an X in the DP and rolled it back to make the tri-frame around the image. After I rolled the corners of the square back I tacked them with black Recollection brads and placed tiny orange roses at each juncture. I also used Black Stickles on the edges of the turnbacks. Hope this makes sense...lol...For the image I used a Papilio digital image of Trick or Treat Lida, laser printed her on Cryogen White, and colored her with Copics. The image was double matted and placed into the space available after the corners were turned back. I wanted Lida to look as though she were flying OUT of something or somewhere...lol...Did I succeed??? Gosh, is she cute or not???? To finish the front, I added orange rhinestones to soften all of the corners.

For the inside of my card, I have explained how the first panel evolved and then I added a black striped satin and organza ribbon bow from Really Reasonable Ribbon using a Bow-Easy Tool from the same shop to dangle a silver witch's hat. I can't find the link but I bet if you contact Bonnie at RRR that she will help you out with this magnificent ribbon!!! I just love it!! For the second panel I simply used a Recollection chipboard frame from Michaels with the very same bow.

I hope you like my little creation and will be able to join us at Friday Sketchers this week. We would love to see your card using my sketch shown above!! Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!

Snowie with Snowflake at Just Magnolia and SWEET STUFF!!

A very happy Sunday to everyone!! Gosh I hope you are having a magnificent weekend!! And for those of you in the States, we have even another day of weekend this time!! Yippppeeeee!! But whenever your week starts, I hope that all of you have a most pleasant one. I am thrilled because I have a day off from my sleep-inducing, energy-zapping radiation so I have a 4 day week!!!!

This week at Just Magnolia we all produced cards using some manner of Crackled Glass. Whew, I hope that is NEVER one of my assignments again...lol...But we have decided to have a little change on how we run our Special Monthly Challenges. We want to inject a bit of fun into it (and make life easier for us all) so from this challenge onwards we are going to set the Special Monthly challenges as "Anything Goes". If you would like to join our challenge this week we would love to have you try out this technique OR "Anything Goes", it is up to you. We understand that sometimes you don't always have the necessary craft items or time for the special challenges, and we want to encourage you all to enter so hope that by making this a FUN challenge once a month you will join in with us - we just want you to play along any way you want this week as long as you use a Magnolia image. Your participation will qualify you to be in the draw for the $30 Credit Voucher at Simon Says Stamp. Admittedly, I didn't use the specific technique this week but I crackled my glass using Clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint over the snowman!! So I am an "Anything Goes" person this go-round...lol

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and all matting and the DP is Bo Bunny. All panels were machine stitched. I stamped that darling Snowie with Snowflake on Cryogen White before coloring with Copics and then giving two thick coats of crackle paint. Just so you know, the last time I checked Diana had all three of last season's Snowmen on re-order...so you better check fast!! The matboard for Snowie was cut with a Cricut and then I added those lovely Stempleglede swirls in white which were a wonderful gift from the very talented Christina...thanks, sweetie, a million times over!! For the vertical I used some gorgeous Light Blue Organza and narrower Burgundy Satin from Really Reasonable Ribbon. To the vertical I added a flat bow with a dangling snowflake charm. Rather than flowers I used snowflakes--the larger blue flakes are Spellbinders and covered with Diamond Dust, the smaller white ones are MS punches and are covered with Prisma Glitter. Both were centered with a large clear rhinestone.

For the first panel on the inside I used another vertical of the light blue organza with a silver snowman charm dangling from the flat bow. I also added several small white snowflake buttons with the backs removed before adhering to card. For the second panel I merely added another flat bow with snowflake center and a tiny little snowman to the bottom corner.

I hope you will visit the Just Magnolia challenge blog site to have a peek at the beautiful DT Sample cards and will decide to play along with us this week...We would love to see you there!!

And NOW.....

A little bit of SWEET STUFF for my favorite people!! All you have to do is leave a comment below and I would love for you to mention the Sweet Stuff to all of your friends if you don't mind!! Please leave your comment before Friday, September 10 at midnight. I would love to hear from you!!

Darling Witchy Tilda at Friday Sketchers 118

A very happy Friday to everyone!!! Gosh, thank you so much for dropping by and the wonderful news is that after today I am down to only 6 more radiation sessions...You all have made it so much easier with your kind comments and happy thoughts!!! I am a bit burned by all of the microwaves BUT soon it will be over!!! And then we can really PLAY!!!!! I know you are all prepared for an exciting weekend and for those of you who will have a long holiday weekend, I hope it is a very safe and enjoyable one for you and yours!! Happy Labor Day!!!

Today is the 118th challenge of Friday Sketchers and we have a wonderful treat to be hosted by the phenomenally talented and creative Inge of the Netherlands who has provided us with a fun and exciting sketch. I hope you will come over and check out the splendid DT Sample Cards and will decide to join with us this week using this exceptional sketch so that you will be in the running for a delightful prize from Motivet.

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and the DP is all from the Blackbird collection by Memory Box, which was part of my recent birthday gift from Lucas and Niklas, the darling sons of my sweet friend Claudia. Thank you to you two sweeties!!!! All major panels were machine stitched. The darling Witch Tilda was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics and a touch of peach Spica. This little beauty is from Magnolia-licious and although she is not available she is up for pre-order so you better be thinking about those Halloween cards right away!!! Time flies when we are having so much fun!!! And I tell you, even things on pre-order can get sold out completely in the blink of an eye!!! I used a MS spider web punch for the vertical on the card...and the horizontal is all from Bonnie's awesome shop at Really Reasonable Ribbon (RRR). I used a combination of 1.5" Jute Ribbon Black, Jute Ribbon Orange, and Jute String Orange. RRR has so many Halloween ribbons that you will be amazed at the selection and even more amazed at the fabulous customer service!! I added several stickled black and orange flowers onto a base of MS punched twigs, a stamped TH Happy Halloween ticket, a spider web charm, and half pearls from RRR. The ticket was lifted in the center by rolling the stamped image around a Copic to give it so much more dimension before adhering the ends to the card.

For the inside of my card I used the same orange jute ribbon and string on the first panel to attach a smiling face Jack-o-lantern charm. On the jotting panel I used a several layers of orange and black flowers from Crafty Feeling (which were included in one of my monthly selections) to make a statement flower centered with a Basic Gray glazed spider web button and resting on more MS punched twigs.

NOTE: I was unable to participate in the challenge blog over at RRR this week BUT this card of mine qualifies now!!!! Hey we all use ribbon and we all use flowers!!! So there is a wonderful challenge over at Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog which will run until September 14. So think about it and submit your next card with flowers and ribbon so that you can win one of two very nice prizes available!! We would love to have you participate along with us!!!!

I hope you like my little creation and will be able to join us at Friday Sketchers this week. We would love to see your card using Inge's marvelous sketch!! Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!
