Non-Tulip Tilda at Friday Sketchers #106

A happy Sunday to everyone! I hope that your weekend is indeed a special one and hope your upcoming week is delightful as well. I will be having my very LAST chemo tomorrow and I can hardly wait until Monday is in the past! The day to celebrate is getting closer and closer now!! Yippppeeeee!! My card today is quite special since I have used a hand-crocheted butterfly made by one of my fellow chemo patients. She gave me quite a few of these darling critters so I wanted to make her a thank you card showing her how I intended to use them! I hope she likes it!!

Although I am late this week, I wanted to share with you my DT Sample card for Friday Sketchers #106 using the sketch provided by the talented Bea from Germany. Thanks, Bea, for such a fun and challenging sketch! I would love for all of you to come over and join us this week so we can see your interpretation of the sketch as well.

I used Bazzill for the base, PTI and BG for the matting, and the DP is from the Basic Grey Capella paper pad. You will notice that I machine stitched some of the panels and used Swiss Dots CB embossing folder for the other panel. After using the CB folder, I sanded the dots to give them a lighter appearance. Little Tulip Tilda from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics. So that she would match the colors in the DP a little better, I changed her tulip to another kind of flower and added "4 U" on the little tag. I also grounded Tilda with a bit of Copic grass and added Sage Ultra Fine Flower Soft for dimension as well as a couple of flowers. All of the flat flowers are from Crafty Feeling. I merely added rhinestone centers to them and a bit of Stickles for sparkle on the tiny roses. For the vertical band I used wide grosgrain ribbon and added a Bow-Easy bow using a narrower ribbon. Finally I added rhinestones to soften the corners and that absolutely lovely hand crocheted butterfly...isn't it too pretty??

I hope you like my little creation and will be able to join us at Friday Sketchers this week. We would love to see your card using Bea's sketch!! Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!
Aud, Bea, Claudia, Inge, Janneke, Jeanette, Tanja

Thank you so much for your visit and I am hoping that you come back often! I appreciate each of you so much and thank you sincerely for the many lovely comments and your cards and emails of support and concern! May your week be a special one!! Big hugs!!

Prom Queen at Just Magnolia

A wonderful Saturday to each of you! I hope you have all had a marvelous week and are looking forward to a fun and exciting weekend!

This week at Just Magnolia our challenge is a sketch provided by the very talented Mina. You can rotate and/or flip the sketch any way, as long as we can still see the basic sketch on your creation. Don’t forget that you can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice as long as the main image on your creation is a Magnolia stamp you will qualify to be in the draw for the fab prize from Embellishments.de. Please remember NO back linking...new projects/cards only. The winner will be chosen by Random Generator next week so to be in the running all you need to do is ensure you have at least one Magnolia image on your card and link your card (not your blog) in Mr Linky and have your card posted by 8pm UK time next Thursday 17th May.

For my DT Sample card I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and the DP is Papermania's Rose Garden. All panels are machine stitched. I used an MS Around the Page Punch for the square panel and the round panel is a Nestie encircled with a lovely trim from a special friend. Little Prom Queen, now available at Magnolia-licious, was stamped on Cryogen White, cut out, colored with Copics and a touch of Stickles and pink glitter, and propped up with dimensional tape. I used PTI ribbon for the vertical bands. Then I added 3 pink rosettes and a Tim Holtz mother of pearl button set on MS punched fronds. Finally pink pearls were added to soften the corners and one for the center of the TH button.

I hope you like my little creation and will decide to join us at Just Magnolia this week!! Please drop over and see the absolutely lovely DT sample cards!

Thank you so much for coming by to see me today and I hope you will return again often! Enjoy your weekend and hopefully it will be filled with many smiles and much happiness... Maggie Hugs for all!!!

Bridesmaid Tilda at Flower Soft, WINNER, and Sweet Stuff!!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!!! I hope your week is going well and gosh, we are halfway to the weekend!! Tomorrow I have pre-chemo session so that means next Monday is my very last chemo soiree...yippppeeeee!!

Today at the Flower Soft Blog we were asked to use stems of Flower Soft on our cards. For my card, I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is MM, and the DP is Kaisercraft. Little Bridesmaid Tilda from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen white and colored with Copics. I also used a bit of Stickles for the flowers and her wings and some Glossy Accents on her shoes. She is resting on a base punched with MS Optic Dots Punch Around the Page. For the horizontal I used some mint organza ribbon with Bow-Easy bow and a couple of lavender hearts dangling. To match the flowers that Tilda is holding I made a small bouquet using Lavender and Violet Flower Soft and using the Flower Soft Wires, which I also colored green with Copics. I also added a touch of Stickles on the Flower Soft, and tied with a tiny satin ribbon. To finish the front I added lavender pearls to soften the corners.

I hope you will have the chance to come over to the Flower Soft Blog and will check out the lovely creations made by the other DT members!!

Bubbling Tilda at Just Magnolia

Happy Saturday to everyone and I hope you are starting a fun and exciting weekend!! I know my weekend is going great and I intend to enjoy each and every moment of it!!!

This week at Just Magnolia we have our special monthly challenge and this time we are treated to a marvelous tutorial for pleating lace by the amazingly talented Mindy. Don’t forget that you can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice as long as the main image on your creation is a Magnolia stamp. If you meet these requirements, you will qualify to be in the draw for the splendid prize from Simon Says Stamp. And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please. Please turn off comment verification if you want the DT to leave you a comment. There are step by step instructions in the side bar at Just Magnolia on how to turn it off and enable moderation.

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is MM, and all DP is from the Magnolia Fairytale Collection at Magnolia-licious. All background panels are machine stitched. I used that darling little Bubbling Tilda, stamped her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics, using Shimmerz on the wings, Glossy Accents on the bubbles, and Gold Smooch on the bubbler. Rather than pleat lace, I pleated lavender organza ribbon and finished it with a sequin trim which was a gift from Suzan...thank you so much, sweetie, for ALL the lovely lavender trims!! To complete the front, I added a lavender organza bow with butterfly center, a floral combo of pale lavender roses and MS punched fronds, all painted with Shimmerz, and finally several crystal BUBBLES!!!! Fun, huh?

For the first panel on the inside I used the same sequin trim with organza bow and roses as the front. I also added a silver star cut out with Nesties and some crystal bubbles. For the jotting panel more star Nesties and Bubbles.

I hope you like my little creation and will want to join us at Just Magnolia during this week. Please come on over and check out the absolutely gorgeous cards by the DT Members featuring the cutest Maggies!!

Thank you so much for dropping by to see me today! I sincerely appreciate your sweet and kind comments as well as your emails and cards with so many wonderful thoughts and wishes!! May your weekend be one of many smiles and much joy and loads of happy times!!! Hope to see you again real soon!! Maggie hugs to each of you!!

What a Cutie Pie at Friday Sketchers #105!!

Happy Friday Everyone!!! I hope you have had a delightful week and are prepared for an even more fun and exciting weekend!! This week has been one of steady improvement after last weekend, so all is well!! And gosh, I am looking forward to a great weekend and a GREAT week next week! It is so exciting to see the end of the chemo in sight. Next week is my Pre-Chemo soiree and then the next Monday the LAST Chemo Party!!! I can hardly wait!!! I tell ya, a celebration is in order when this is all finished!!

This week at Friday Sketchers #105 we are hosted by Janneke of the Netherlands who has designed a wonderful sketch for us to use. Thanks so much, Janneke, for the fun and challenging sketch!! I hope you will all come over and join with us this week so that we can see your creative interpretation of Janneke's sketch!! The prize this week is a very nice one from Stitchy Bear Stamps. So come on over!!

I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and the DP is all from the 6" Paper Pad by Kaisercraft called Tea at Elsie's. I just love these papers. I don't think you can tell by the photo, but the peach dotted background paper is actually softly flocked. All panels are double matted and machine stitched. The image is a darling little hÄnglar & stÄnglar girlie, a gift from a special friend and stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics. The horizontal uses PTI satin ribbon which matches the matting, adding a flat bow and sweet sun face charm which has "made with a smile" on the back. For the floral treatment I used a Magnolia peach Tulle shabby chic rose and small blue flowers and buds which are from Michaels.

I hope you like my little creation and will be able to join us at Friday Sketchers this week. We would love to see your card using Janneke's sketch!! Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!
