Feel Better Wishes for the INCOMPARABLE Bev Rochester!!!!!

Unfortunately, Bev has had to take a little break from crafting over the past few months due to ill health. We are missing her here at Whimsy and want to let her know that we are thinking about her and wishing her a speedy recovery. Even though the Whimsy family is scattered all around the world, we have come together as a circle of friends to show Bev our love and support by each making her a card or project.

For my creation, I decided to ink up the darling little Hazel designed by the incomparable Sylvia Zet of Wee Stamps for Whimsy Stamps! I have also used flowers and accoutrements from Wild Orchid Crafts and other things from my stash.

I made a gift bag to hold some of the things which I know are some of Bev's favorites....MARSHMALLOW!!! And Bev, they are on their way to you as you have a peek at my creation!

 

I can share with all of you that Bev Rochester is sincerely one of the beautiful people in the world and is so special to me. From the moment I made my very first card, I wrote to Bev and she always answered my emails and was always willing to help me and give me suggestions and advice. If I had to name one person who has given me the most inspiration in this hobby, I would never hesitate to name Bev Rochester. She has become one of my dearest of friends and I had the pleasure of spending time with her at last year's CHA--an experience I will never forget!!! She is beautiful on the inside and outside and her cardmaking expertise and artistic talents are unsurpassed!!!

Mr. Tony...I didn't forget you and know that you will soon be going in for knee replacements so you will have your share of fall M&Ms...big smile!!!!

 

Bev, please feel better real soon and know that there are many like me who love and cherish you and can't wait to see you wandering around Cyberia again real soon!!! Big special hugs for you and Tony!!! Love you both!!!

This Time I Need YOUR help!!!! PLEASE!! PLEASE!! PLEASE!!

 

To my friends all over the world, this time I am asking for your help in something that is very near and dear to my heart. You all have heard from me that I am co-chairing a Party in Pink Zumbathon this weekend and I am so thankful for all of the support we have received for this event....I promise that pictures will follow after the weekend!!!! In addition I have taken it on as a personal goal to reach as many people as I can all over the world to raise money for the CAUSE and the CURE of Breast Cancer.

 

Many of you followed me through the horrors of breast cancer and I could not have done it alone. You gave me so much support as I went through 3 surgeries and then bouts of chemotherapy and radiation. I made a promise at that time that I would do all within my power to make life a bit easier for my PINK sisters who would have to experience the horrifying words "you have breast cancer". I have personally made contact with each of the people in our crafting world when they found out that they had the disease and shared a bit of PINK Sweet Stuff with them to brighten their day!

 

This disease effects more than 1 in every 8 women all over the world and I am not discounting the number of men that it effects as well. I can only hope and pray that you all never have to hear those words....I KNOW that together we can make a real difference!!

 

You all know that I have sent packages all over the world through my weekly Jacque's Sunday SWEET STUFF, as well as other candies, and cards and crafting supplies when you have requested them. I have never asked for repayment in return in any way. But this time I am asking for your help... that you search within yourselves and see if you can't help in this call for donations for the CAUSE and the CURE of Breast Cancer. You can be assured that 100% of all monies I receive will go to the breast cancer research initiative and to the outreach program for breast cancer. You can check out the events and programs on my facebook page if you wish.
