LOTV Doggie Delight and WINNER and SWEET STUFF!!!

A very happy Saturday to everyone and I hope that you have begun a wonderfully fun and exciting weekend! Our weather has finally become a bit more pleasant so I want to be outside and get so many things done...or at least supervise the completion of so many things! WINK!!

I made a card today JUST FOR FUN and have used the darling little LOTV Doggie Delight stamp from the Latest LOTV Stamp Launch - Here Come the Girls featuring Emma, Milly, Maisie and Friends. The base of the card and all double matting is Bazzill, the DP is from the Neighborhood Collection by Crate Paper, and all background panels are machine stitched. The image was colored with Copics adding a touch of Orange Peel Stickles to the flame and Liquid Applique to the cupcake before cutting the image out with triple square/scalloped Nesties. The sentiment is from the LOTV Stamp - Calendars which contains 2 larger calendar stamps that are wonderful for that special occasion and 4 perfect mini ones too! I have used one of the minis on this card and enclosed it within a small round metal frame. For the vertical I used a natural twine tied into a bow to dangle a cute doggy bone/bowl charm which was a gift from my sweet friend Gunilla. Finally I added dog and bone buttons to hold the twine in place.


On the first panel on the inside I made a gift card envelope with a computer-generated sentiment and another dog button. For the jotting panel I used a doghouse, a little doggie tied with twine, and a half chewed bone...this little doggie was not so happy about being tied so even chewed up the corner of the jotting spot...lolol

Sweetie Tilda at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge

Yipppeeeee!! It's finally another Friday!! I hope you have had a wonderful week and are also looking forward to a great weekend!!

This week at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge we are being hosted by the sweet and talented Pops who has given us the theme of BUTTERFLIES for the week. The prizes being offered this week are from our wonderful sponsors, The Ribbon Girl and Quixotic Paperie. So come on over and join in with us using your butterflies...we would love to have a peek at your creation!!

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting and the DP is from the Mariposa Stack by DCWV...it is so sparkly and pretty methinks! I used the darling little Sweetie Tilda from Magnolia-licious which was colored with Copics, cut out, and propped up on a Pink Paislee Artisan Element circle. To the outside of the circle I added a couple of gold butterfly brads. I just love this sparkly paper so much that I wanted as much of it to show as possible. The floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts: 35mm Trellis Rose, Sweetheart Blossoms, White Tulip Flowers, Gypsophilia Stem Flowers, and Stamens. For the vertical I used a 25mm Organza Ribbon and a line of Self Adhesive Pearls. The front was finished with some beautiful Small Filigree Gold Corners.

On the first panel on the inside I merely used another organza bow and a couple more butterfly brads. On the second panel I used triple Nesties for the jotting spot and stamped it with Just Sittin' Here Thinking of You which is available at Magnolia-licious in both regular and MINI sizes. I finally added a gold glittered butterfly die cut and three more Pearls to the jotting spot.

Happy Saturday and hopefully you are in for a magnificent weekend no matter where you may be! I had the tree removed today and it's a sad sight to see the smashed lavender, lilies, and other perennials....sigh!!! But I still have my Topsy Turvy cherry tomatoes so anybody for a salad??? lol

ALSO, I was invited by Karen and Debby at Send a Smile 4 Kids Blog as a Guest Designer for such a wonderful cause..I was so touched to be invited and I know you will want to help also!! Send A Smile 4 Kids is dedicated to providing handmade greeting cards to be distributed to hospitalized children and their families during the holidays and at various times throughout the year. And although I don't have kids and was a college professor for 30 years, I have a very soft spot in my heart for those wee children who are less fortunate than I am.

For this special easel card I used Bazzill for the base; the double matting is PTI Kraft and Berry Sorbet; and the DP is from the Portrait Collection by Crate Paper. The image is the darling Woodland Nymph Bear by Rick St. Dennis which is an exclusive at IBFS. The image was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics, adding a touch of Stickles to the flowers, before encircling the triple Nesties cuts with pre-gathered lace. The ribbon treatment is PTI Berry Sorbet grosgrain tied into a flat bow. I finally added WOC Self Adhesive Pearls and a floral treatment by Wild Orchid Crafts: 35MM Trellis Rose, 25mm Wild Roses, 15mm Open Roses, Hip Rosebuds, and Cherry Blossom Stem Flowers. Did you know that IBFS is the US distributor for WOC flowers???

Tilda in Summer Rain at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge and RE-WINNER

Happy Friday everyone...they are all happy, aren't they!!! I hope you are ready for a magnificent weekend! We have had some terrific thunderstorms with wind and now I have a huge branch from a neighbors tree right through my perennial garden and I am NOT happy at all!!! Flat lavender is not a pretty sight!!! But I will not think of that right now!!!

This week at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge we are being hosted by Michelle who has given us paper-piecing as our challenge this week. For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base; all double matting is PTI Pure Poppy and Blueberry Sky; and the DP is all from the LANTIV-Life in the Country Collection by Maja Designs. The floral is a 12X12 pattern and the dots and stripes are from a 6X6 paper pad, which is a new venture for Maja...I love them all...Thanks so much, Gunilla!!! The background panels are machine stitched. The image I used is the darling little Tilda in Summer Rain from the Sweet Rainbow Collection over at Magnolia-licious. She as well as her MINI counterpart are both available right now!! She was colored with Copics but her dress, boots and umbrella are paper-pieced with dots. The rain drops are Prisma glitter, and the puddle is topped with Glossy Accents. She was cut out with triple Nesties. For the horizontal I used a lace and threaded it with PTI Blueberry Sky satin, tied into a double flat bow. The floral treatment is all from Wild Orchid Crafts: Poppy Stem Flowers, Aster Daisies and Heart and Pear Shaped Pins all resting on MS punched branches. I just love how those flowers match the DP...poppies and aster daisies!!!!For the corners I used a metal cornerpiece from my stash and Self-Adhesive Pearls.


On the first panel on the inside you can more clearly see the lace I used on the front--again, just a ribbon with double flat bow and an aster daisy. On the jotting panel I used a ribbon label threaded with the same ribbon and stamped with Wishing You Text, adding a double round Nestie with pearls.

LOTV Sneaky Peeky and WINNER WINNER!

The LOTV New Girlie Release is just HOURS away now!!!! Today at midnight is the BIG DAY over at LOTV!!!! All 16 of the brand new super-cute girlie-girlie stamps will be out TONIGHT at Midnight UK Time...and you better count the time off on your fingers so you can get them on these little darlings soon, soon, soon!!! They are so cute that you can bet they will be whizzing out very fast!!!

For my card I have used cute little Maisie with her Two Big Balloons who looks like she is ready for a happy event no matter what it is! The base and all double matting are Bazzill, the DP is from the BG Life of the Party Collection, and all background panels are machine stitched. She was colored with Copics, adding a touch of Stickles to the balloons before cutting her out with double Nesties. I found 2 balloon buttons in my stash and tied them with Orange Divine Twine from Wild Orchid Crafts. For the horizontal I used a dotted satin ribbon tied into a double flat bow to anchor the two balloons. To complete the front I used WOC Mulberry Paper Blooms centered with large half pearls.

The inside is quite simple because the DP is so bright and cheerful!

So tonight is the BIG NIGHT to get your inky hands on these LOTV cuties!!!

Grown With Love at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge

Happy Friday!! I hope you are having a great week and are as ready for the weekend as I am!!

This week at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge I am happy to be hosting and I have made what I hope is a fun sketch for you and have also added the requirement of FLOWERS. So come on over to the challenge blog and check out the sketch and play along with us. There is a very nice prize from Crafty Sentiments Designs and this just may be your lucky week!!! I look forward to seeing you there and I would love to see your interpretations of my sketch!!

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base, the double matting is PTI and the floral and zigzag DP is from the MME Lime Twist-Life of the Party Pad and the dots are from Echo Park Metropolitan Collection/Dots and Stripes. All background panels are machine stitched. I used the darling little Watercan Tilda from the Sweet Rainbow Collection at Magnolia-licious. She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics and a touch of Stickles before cutting her out with triple Nesties. For the verticals I used 2 sizes and colors of satin ribbon, tying the narrower one into a flat bow to dangle a trowel/digger charm. For the forefront I used the Magnolia Doohickey Lovely Fence Die cut, tiny flowers from my stash, and added some diecut grass. I also made a little corner arrangement using the same flowers and finally added a Grown With Love button behind the fence.


On the first panel of the inside I used the same papers and ribbon from the front and added trowel and digger buttons. The jotting panel is another fence scene and several gardening related buttons.

SNEEKY PEEKY of LOTV Emma - Walkies and SWEET STUFF!!!

Happy Thursday to everyone!! I hope your week is going exceptionally well!! It has been unbearably HOT here for so early in the year...but what a great excuse to stay inside and play!!!!

Today is the new LOTV Challenge where anything goes this week and I was honored to be invited to make a card for it!!! Thanks, Jacqui!! I really enjoyed playing with these little darlin's!!!

For my card, the base and double matting is all Bazzill,the DP is from Webster's Pages,and all background panels are machine stitched. I have to share with you that my card smells like grandma's attic because I picked up the little hand crocheted doily in a local antique store and I can't get the smell out even with Febreeze...lol This is a little SNEAKY PEEK from the soon-to-be-released LOTV Girlie Girlies!!! As a matter of fact these little girlies will be released next Tuesday, June 14 -- be prepared to rush to the LOTV shop!!! So meet the darling little Emma taking two of the cutest little doggies on a "walkie". This image reminded me so much of a vintage portrait that I decided to frame her with gold braid to look like a frame. Isn't she just precious?!?!? She was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics. I did add a couple of tiny dots from a Pearl Pen to her little shoes! You will notice that I rested the frame on the OLD smelly doily before adding the gold vintage heart buttons. The horizontal is 25mm Burgundy Organza Ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts tied into a double flat bow. For the floral treatment I used one of those gorgeous 40mm Trellis Roses flanked by 30mm Wild Roses, and 15mm Open Roses along with some little round gold thingies from my stash. Finally I added the lovely Gold Filigree Decorative Metal Corners for a little bit more shine and elegance. What do you think?



And now for the inside, which I wanted to be a real vintage surprise for the recipient!!! On the first panel I used You're Marvellous from LOTV Set 9 - Mixed Circular Sentiments, Stamp A - Grunge Postcard, and Stamp B - Grunge Letter. All of the brass and enamel accoutrements arrived in a big box along with so many vintage laces and trims from some Wisconsin friends who wanted me to have them all from their Mom's and Grandmom's sewing chests. Can you believe it????? Thank you so much Kathy and Steve---I love it ALL!!!! I also added a few buttons and another WOC Metal Corner. For the jotting panel I used a couple more of the brass sweeties. You can see that I distressed all of the upper panels with a Distrezz-It-All.

NOTE: For my American readers, please don't think that MARVELOUS is misspelled-- MARVELLOUS is the British spelling...smiles!!!! And both are completely acceptable according to Mr. Webster!!!! LOL

LOTV SNEAKY PEEKY....Winner....SWEET STUFF!!!

Happy Tuesday....I hope that things are wonderful no matter where you may be!!

First, I want to remind you of the Summer Sale at LOTV where there is a 10% Discount on all orders until tomorrow, Wednesday, June 8th. So this is an ideal opportunity to pick up all of those cuties on your "I NEED THOSE" list!!!! AND...I can't begin to tell you how cute these Girlie Girlies are from the New Release at LOTV which will be available for the first time on Tuesday, June 14...and you will just fall in love with ALL of them!!

For this SNEAKY PEEK I used Bazzill for the base; all double matting is PTI; the DP is from the Kaisercraft Bubblegum Hills Collection, and all background panels are machine stitched. The precious image I used is sweet little Milly - Just For You. She was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics, adding a bit of Prisma glitter to the butterfly and some tiny WOC Self Adhesive Pearls for the buttons on her little jean dress. For the vertical I used a 1.5" stitched blue grosgrain, a 7/8" stitched hot pink grosgrain, and a 5/8" hot pink dotted satin, tying a double flat bow to dangle a silver flower charm. For the floral treatment I used different sizes and shades of pink WOC Blooms centered with silver/pearl brads from Dovecraft. To finish the front I added a blue organza butterfly to the top of the flowers!! I just love this cute little darling!! What do you think!


The inside is very simple, using the same triple ribbon treatment, a couple of bows and two triple Nesties. On the first panel I have used a sentiment from the Set 10 - A5 Verses.

Tilda in Rubber Boots at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge and SWEET STUFF

A very Happy Friday to each of you!!! Gosh, it's almost weekend again and I know we all live for those!! I hope that the weather is beautiful wherever you may be and that you can enjoy it as much as I intend to!!! We have had several days over 90F (32C) and that is just too warm for me...but I am not complaining because I still remember all of the ice, snow, and freezing cold!!!!

This week at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge we are hosted by the very talented Mina for our Special Monthly Challenge - Anything Goes with the option of LACE - either faux or real. The fabulous prize this week is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp!! So come on over and play along with us!!!!

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is from the Butterfly Garden Collection by Pink Paislee, and all background panels are machine stitched. The cute litte image is Tilda in Rubber Boots from the Butterfly Dreams Collection at Magnolia-licious. She was colored with Copics, adding a touch of Star Dust Stickles to her boots and hatband before cutting her out with double Nesties. I used some darling lace around the oval and square panels...thank you so much Suzan--I LOVE it!! For the horizontal I used Wild Orchid Crafts Vintage Seam Binding, adding a peach enamel button to the triple bow. The two metal cornerpieces are from my stash. To finish the front I also depended on Wild Orchid Crafts for the Pearls and flowers: 35mm Trellis Rose and 20mm Open Roses

For the first panel on the inside I used a MF tag and envelope, adding more Vintage Seam Binding and a key charm to open the heart on the front...lol. For the second panel I used double LOTV Grunge Postcards for the jotting spot. To finish the inside I used more WOC Pearls. Oops!!! One pearl slipped but I fixed it....LOLOL!!

SWEET STUFF...Although I didn't take pictures of this wee SWEET STUFF, I have another Tilda with Rubber Boots who would love to be in some lucky commenter's home! I will also toss in some more surprises...wink!! I will draw a winner on this Sunday at midnight EST from all of the comments.
