Jolly Roger Tilda at Friday Sketchers 100

Happy Friday to everyone!! I hope you have had a magnificent week and are ready for a fun-filled weekend! I am going to try to pack as much as I possibly can into this weekend for sure!!

Today at Friday Sketchers we are being hosted by the unbelievably talented and creative Claudia who has designed a fun and challenging sketch for us. I hope that you will drop by and check out all of the DT Sample cards, and will join with us this week so we can see your interpretation of Claudia's great sketch!! A very nice prize is being offered by Sew Many Cards this week!! So come on over!!!

For my sample card I used Bazzill for the base, the matting is all PTI, and the DP is all digital. I machine stitched the panels and used a MS border punch for the middle panel. Little Jolly Roger Tilda from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen White and cut out with nesties. She was colored with Copics and I added Ultra Fine Flower Soft for the sandy beach, placing a treasure chest in the sand. I also added a treasure map button to her hand. For the scrappers floss treatment I also added 2 gold doubloons and finally a pirate's ship button in the upper corner!

Spring Time Hannah at The Pixie Cottage and SWEET STUFF!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope your week is going very well and that Springtime has finally arrived for all of you!! I am certainly enjoying this week and am feeling wonderfully well. No sooner do I feel GREAT than I realize why...lol...Pre-Chemo is tomorrow and the next batch of chemo is this coming Monday!! But this time I am gonna be much bigger and meaner than the dragon, I have decided!!

I have to tell you that I was so excited and humbled when the very creative and talented Katie Tate, the Lead DT over at The Pixie Cottage invited me to not only design a sketch for this week's challenge, but also to create a card using my sketch! Thank you so much, Katie, for this honor and privilege!! I hope that everyone enjoys my creation and will visit The Pixie Cottage challenge this week and see the beautiful creations by the regular DT over there and also hope you will participate along with us!! We would love to see your creations using my sketch!!

For my card I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and the lovely DP by Best Creation was a gift from the very talented Suzan. Thank you so much, Sweetie!! The background panel was machine stitched and the next panel was encircled with a MS punch. The absolutely darling Spring Time Hannah With Butterflies was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics. The flowers were colored with Smooch, and Diamond Stickles were used on the butterflies and flower centers. I used dotted grosgrain ribbon and some lovely fuschia trim for the horizontal, adding a flat bow and butterfly charm. I also added several gold flowers and fuschia roses onto MS punched branches as well as organza/jewel butterflies. The card was finished with gold pearls to soften the corners.

Princess Tilda at Just Magnolia and Winner!!

Happy Saturday everyone and thank you so much for dropping by! I hope that you had a delightful week and are into a magnificent weekend!! I know that I am looking forward to a beautiful one and hope I can get alot of things underway here!!

Last week's first birthday bash at Just Magnolia was such a wonderful success and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did!! My sincere thanks to everyone who participated in the blog hop. After all the excitement last week we are going nice and easy this week - so the theme for the challenge is Anything Goes. We are being sponsored by Wild Orchid Crafts this week and the prize is full of floral beauty for sure!! I wanted to really showcase the most gorgeous flowers available in all of Cyberia so what better way than to say that these flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts are certainly befitting of a Princess!! For my DT Sample Card this week I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and the DP is from Papermania's Rose Garden. I also used that darling little Princess Tilda from Magnolia-licious. She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics, using a bit of Diamond Stickles for sparkle. I also added Glossy Accents to her patent leather shoes and rhinestones for the buttons on her shoes. I used grosgrain ribbon and lace for the horizontal before making a vertical flower treatment with several kinds of roses in pink and blue, heart and sparkle pins, and finally a crystal butterfly. Pink pearls were added to soften all corners.

Belles 'n Whistles at Friday Sketchers

A very happy Friday to everyone and best wishes for a marvelous weekend!! I know that I intend to enjoy the beautiful weather as I begin to think about digging in the dirt with flowers on my mind!!

Today at Friday Sketchers 99 we are being hosted by the superbly talented and creative Carole of England who has a wonderful sketch for us. I would love for you to come over and join us this week where you will find that there is a very nice prize from Simon Says Stamp!!

For my DT Sample Card I used the darling Belle Dusting Cuckoo from the Belles "n Whistles Spring and Cleaning Collection. Belle was stamped on Cryogen white and colored with Copics. The base of the card is Bazzill, the matting is PTI and unknown, and the DP is all from the Paisley Parade Collection of KI Memories...all panels are machine stitched. I added a feather for her feather duster and used all Magnolia flowers. Finally I added pearls to all corners of the panels and a wee little clock to the upper floral treatment.

Maggie Highlites, Flower Soft, and a bit of Sweet Stuff!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!!! I hope that everyone is well and having a delightful week! I am absolutely marvelous now that I have finally beaten back the fires that raged from the mean old chemo dragon!! Whew!! He was a bit much this week but we are surviving!!! Smiles!!

I missed the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog hop on Monday but it is certainly not too late to participate. This month the Hop features the Magnolia stamp Right Through My Heart which is 30% off right now at Magnolia-licious. As soon as I saw the cutie, I thought of a Roman gladiator and the lions and therefore my card is made accordingly. I don't know if you have noticed, and I have heard no one mention, but this stamp may just be a real collectible because to the best of my knowledge this is the very first time that Pauline, the designer of Maggies, has used a real human eye for ANY of the Tildas....There have been human type eyes for the Santa folks, several of the animals (including the Lion that I have used today) and for the snow folks...but never for a Tilda!!!! So you better grab her while Diana still has her available!!!!

For my card I used Bazzill for the base, gold metallic and PTI for all matting, and the DP is MM. Tilda was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, Pearl Shimmerz, and Gold Stickles. I used a touch of Flower Soft to ground her. I also used Greek key trim, a couple of gold bows and some gold lion buttons to finish the front.



On the inside of the card I used the darling Lion, stamping him on Cryogen White, coloring him with Copics and adding touches of Ultra Fine Flower Soft and Gold Stickles. I think he is just darling, don't you? "Even Lions Can Be Tamed" was computer generated!!! But they can be, right??

The challenge at the Flower Soft Blog today was to use Flower Soft in a different way so I decided to use it to look like ultra-suede or velvet on the top of the little chipboard box. I first painted the entire box with black acrylic paint. Then I covered the bottom of the box with Glossy ModPodge and added the Greek key trim and a gold lion button. For the top I covered it with Flower Soft glue and added Black Ultra Fine Flower Soft to give it a soft matte finish. I finished the outside of the top with black and white roses and a gold bow and the inside with another lion using Blossom Nesties. Tilda With Spring Bundler at Just Magnolia and WINNER

A very happy Saturday to everyone and hope this is the start of a magnificent weekend for you!! If you are like me, there is so much to get done since Spring has arrived. And my next Chemo session is Monday so I better see how much I can get done for sure!!

This week at Just Magnolia the challenge is to "Punch It Out" so get your punches and Maggies together and join us. You will find that there is a fabulous prize from Jacobi Drachten so just make sure that the major image on your card is a Magnolia and punch away!!!!

My Design Team Sample Card uses Bazzill for the base, all matting is SU, and the DP is from the Floral Paper Stack by Wild Rose Studio. All background panels were machine stitched. I used the cutest little Tilda With Spring Bundler from Magnolia-licious and it looks as though she is now available!! She was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, with a touch of Grape Stickles on the flowers. I used a lovely punch on the striped horizontal which was a gift from the very talented Suzan. Thanks, Sweetie!! I also used MS butterfly punches with a few added pearls. I also used mint organza and tiny lavender satin ribbons for the horizontal, added a double bow and heart dangles. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Notice that little tiny butterfly on the flower bundle...too cute!! The front of the card was finished with lavender pearls on all corners.

Tilda With Three Flowers at Friday Sketchers 97

Today at Friday Sketchers 97 we have been given a sketch by the talented Bea of Germany so I hope you will come on over and join in with us this week so we can see your marvelous creations. The very nice prize this week is from Wendy at Digital Delights Stamps.

For my Design Team Sample Card I have used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and the DP is from the Pretty Papers Bloc Blue by Marianne Design of the Netherlands. All panels were machine stitched. Tilda with Three Flowers from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics with a touch of Glossy Accents and Diamond Stickles on the flowers. I added a PTI satin ribbon and bow and some lovely Magnolia roses and a gardenia also from Magnolia-licious. Also underneath the roses is a new little branch punch from Nellie Snellen, part of a magnificent gift from Christina, who has a brand new blog which is well worth your time to visit. She makes absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking cards!!!! So please drop by Christina's Card Connection and welcome her to the blogging world and be sure to leave her a few hugs when you go!!! Finally a smiling sun was tucked into the bow and pearls were added to soften all corners.

I know my week is going exceptionally well--Thursday I have my pre-chemo lab conference and then Monday is my Third Chemo session...so please keep your fingers crossed!! I have everything crossed because I have been so fortunate and so lucky as far as the events of those sessions is concerned!! Thank you all so much for your continuing thoughts about my sessions!!

For my card I have used the absolutely darling Best Friends stamp from the Moments In Time Collection. The base is Bazzill, the matting is PTI Hibiscus Burst and Spring Moss, and the DP is from the Rose Garden Collection by Papermania in the UK which I have machine stitched. The scene is framed with the Spellbinders Scalloped Edge Frame which I have edged with cream pearls. The stamp, on Cryogen White, was colored with Copics and I have added a touch of Viva Cream Pearls to the top of the cake, Glossy Accents to the china, Sand and Toffee Ultra Fine Flower Soft to the bear, and a mixture of Pale Green and Shamrock Green Flower Soft for the grass surrounding the blankie. I added a couple of pink flower buttons and a Tea Party button to set the stage. I then added a horizontal of PTI Hibiscus Burst satin ribbon and bow with a brass tea cup charm and finally larger pearls to soften the corners. Little Bunny Tilda for Magnolia-licious Highlites

Happy Sunday and I am hopeful that everyone has had a magnificent weekend! The weather here has been more than enough to make me a very happy camper although I have to be very careful about being outside...bald heads burn easily...hahah

I know this is last moment BUT I just HAD to use this cute Little Bunny Tilda before the day was over!! It looks as though she is not available right now but she is from Magnolia-licious. Not only can she be used for Easter but she would make a darling baby card methinks. This card was made as my DT Sample Card for the April Sketch at Magnolia-licious Highlites where the fun sketch was designed by the exquisitely talented Claudia this month.

I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and the DP is a combination of papers from PTI Dots pad and Raspberry Road Designs. All panels were machine stitched. In order to add some interest to the background I used a Fiskars circle punch to make the circle behind Tilda. Tilda was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, cut out, and propped up for more dimension. For the bottom horizontal I used a wide embroidered eyelet lace from Wild Orchid Crafts and placed a resin vintage rose embellishment by Melissa Frances. To finish the front of the card, I used natural twine for Tilda to sit on with added twine bows, tiny pink roses and asters from Wild Orchid Crafts, and pearls to soften the top corners.

Hello Tilda (You Cute Thing) at Just Magnolia and Some SWEET STUFF, Too!!!!

Also a big thanks to Claudia for providing the wonderful tutorial for this Joy-Fold card. All panels are machine stitched. For the front of the card, I used that cutest little Hello Tilda, colored her with Copics and used a couple of Nesties to showcase her. I surrounded her with those pretty Magnolia cherry blossoms and a few tiny colored Easter eggs all on a base of MS twig punches. The cute mesh butterfly is by CreaMotion from the Netherlands. Finally I added pearls to soften the corners and the satin ribbon is PTI New Leaf, the same as the matting although it appears in the photo much darker than in real life.



For the inside of the card I used Three Eggs, Chicken in Egg, and Happy Easter Text, all colored with Copics on Cryogen White. I was unable to get into Diana's shop this morning to link the Maggies, but as you might guess they are all from Magnolia-licious.

Tilda With Chick at Friday Sketchers 96 AND WINNER!!

A very Happy Friday to everyone! I hope your week has been a magnificent one and also hope that you are looking forward to a marvelous weekend. The weather here is beautiful and the flowers are starting to bloom....please tell me that SPRING has arrived!!!!

This week at Friday Sketchers we are being hosted by the very talented Tanja who has given us a fun and challenging sketch. I hope that you will join with us this week so that we can see how you interpret this sketch. There is a lovely prize from Lacey at Stamp and Create so come on over!!

For my DT Sample card, I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and the DP is from the Hippity Hoppity Collection by We R Memory Keepers. I machine stitched all background panels, added some lovely trim which was a gift from a super talented friend, Suzan, some bows and an Easter basket charm. I used Tilda with Newly Hatched Chicken from Magnolia-licious. Gosh, I just love every single stamp in this Hoppity Collection! They are all so cute and so many of them can be used for other seasons and occasions as well as for Easter. Tilda was stamped on Cryogen white, colored with Copics with a touch of Glossy Accents on the wee egg, cut out and propped up on stacked Nesties. I added turquoise calla lilies and pink roses to a couple of white satin leaves for the bottom flower treatment. To finish the front, I added turquoise pearls to soften the corners!
