Table Top Christmas Tree at Wild Orchid Crafts and SWEET STUFF!!

Happy Tuesday to each of you!! I hope you had a marvelous weekend and are now into a fun and exciting week!

Today is my day to post at the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog and I would love to invite you over to peruse this wonderfully inspirational site. You will certainly have a glimpse at EVERYTHING WOC!!!

A friend asked me to make her a red rose table top Christmas tree so of course the first place I went for some gorgeous red roses was Wild Orchid Crafts!! I apologize for the picture but I could not get the wrinkles out of the backdrop. I finally found a small 24" (60mm) tree at some website which has 66 tips and I began by using a white maribou boa as garland and tiny 3-D snowflakes. Then Wild Orchid Crafts took over!! I used 25mm (1") Red Organza Ribbon for each of the 66 flat bows and used varying sizes of WOC Red Roses: 35mm Trellis Roses, 25mm Wild Roses and 20mm Open Roses. Finally I topped the tree with a multi-loop Red Organza Bow. I didn't make a skirt to cover the base of the tree since my friend already had something she wants to use!!

SWEET STUFF!!! Seems like forever since I offered a touch of SWEET STUFF for my FOLLOWERS so since it's Christmas In August today I would like to give you a chance at a few Christmas-y things!! All you need to do is leave your linky with Mr Blue Froggy below before Thursday night, August 11, at midnight EST to be in for the draw with Mr Random.org.

1 Set of 11 Inkadinkadoo Christmas Stamps
1 Bunch of White Mulberry Roses
1 Bunch of Red Mulberry Roses
1 Pack of Maya Road Vintage Paper Posies
1 Package of Traditional Christmas Ribbons
1 Package of Sparkly Christmas Ribbons
1 Bunch of 3-D Silver Snowflakes

Thank you so much for dropping by today!! It is always such a joy to know you have been here!! Have a marvelous week, and I hope to see you again real soon!! Big hugs!!

Hi Jacque, I didn't put in for the sweet stuff as I do not want you to think it is the only time I visit. It certainly isn't I visit several times a week. I follow over 1100 blogs, as you can imagine it is near impossible to even comment on all of them even monthly. so I basically try to view at least each of them once a month (and don't always get to do that) some I visit more often, as they are friends or whatever. Just as some get comments from me more often than others. I have a LONG list of interests (wonder if being ADHD has anything to do with that, I've always been that way). With that being said, I follow some family type blogs, LOTS of paper craft blogs, some sewing, some crocheting some jewelry, some environmental, some "giveaway blogs" (they list giveaways that are all over the place) some wiccan/pagan blogs, some current event blogs, some "cat's blogs" (yes their are people out there that have blogs in the voice of their cat, which makes them hysterical) Farm and gardening blogs, photog blogs, free image blogs, altered art blogs, ADHD, Depression, disabled(in many forms) blogs, some writer's blogs etc.

Anyway when I do comment, it usually means one of 2 things...it is time for me to comment or I TRULY LOVE the person's post.

Today on your blog, it is both reasons!! That tree is beautiful, I bet it will be gorgeous lit with clear lights! Your friend is quite lucky!!

We have not had our tree up the lat couple of years, the kids are basically out, hubby is not a fan of the holidays (don't ask) and well, with all my arthritis and other physical issues it is too much work for me to do it myself. I switched over to a fiber-optics tree the Christmas before I got hurt on the job. so the tree itself isn't so much the issue (it's 5' without the stand-our old farm house ceiling are only 6' 10") it is the decorating and the wrapping of garland and then un-decorating etc. I really do miss it, as if you were to talk to my kids they would tell you, when they were young there wasn't a room in the house that wasn't decorated at least a little, and even the bathrooms and "candle lights" in the windows.

oh well.

Perhaps I too will look into a small tree. but my son is home (again) so if he is here at xmas, I might have him put the tree up for me, and just lightly decorate it. I want to short through the tree ornaments and give some to the kids anyway.

I am new on my "neo-pagan" path, trying to follow the old religion of my native american ancestors and some from europe so I try to celebrate winter solstice and Christmas, but not in the "Capitalism form" or in the "Jesus form" but more in the "love & peace form".

I didn't mean to write this but your usual "giving nature" has reached through cyber land to me again in the form of this wonderful gift for your friend!
Many blessings and hugs to you!! Thanks again for Daisy's wonderful gift also. I heard that she loves it!

Susan

Oh My Goodness, Jacque! This tree is so beautiful. I have had to switch to a table tree, as I can not decorate a real tree anymore. I can only hope that I could make one as lovely as yours. I love that you used a white boa...very clever! The roses are amazing...so many!

I am just amazed at the Incredible Sweets you are gifting away this time. You are such a generous person. I have been hoping to get some Christmas stamps that would work for my Atheist husband, too. These would be perfect. We love nature! They are beautiful...love the tree, the large snowflake, oh, and the ribbon is stunning...and I would love to use those flowers and snowflakes on my table tree that I am determined to make!

Thank you for giving us one opportunity after another to win such lovely items...that we may not be able to treat ourselves to! Thanks for being you!
