Tilda with Big Ribbon at Just Magnolia & hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge

A very happy Friday evening to all of you!!! I hope you are as excited for the weekend as I am...and with beautiful/warm weather expected, what could be more exciting!!!

This week at Just Magnolia & hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge we are Going Dotty – so we would like to see dots or spots somewhere on your creation please. You can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice. As long as the main image on your creation is a Magnolia or hÄnglar & stÄnglar stamp you will qualify to be in the draw for the fab prizes. And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please. The challenge closes next Thursday 20th January. The prize this week is a very nice one being offered by jacobi.nl. For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and the gray matting, the pink matting is PTI, and the DP is from the Be Mine Collection by Echo Park. All background panels are machine stitched. I used the darling little Tilda with Big Ribbon from the You Are So Special Collection at Magnolia-licious. She was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, adding a touch of Star Dust Stickles to the lace, and cut out with a round Nestie and placed inside a Die-Namics Dainty Lace Doily from My Favorite Things. For the horizontal I used 1.5" Bright Pink Grosgrain topped with a 5/8" White Satin tied into a double flat bow. Underneath the bow is a quote charm by The Girls' Paperie. To soften a couple of the corners I added some Melissa Frances resin embellishments. The floral treatment is made from tulle roses from my stash resting on Heather Stem Flowers and White Stamens from Wild Orchid Crafts.

For the inside of my card I repeated a number of things from the front. However on the first panel I used the Die-Namics Dainty Lace Border with Sheer Ruffle Edge White to dangle a silver heart charm. For the jotting panel I added a Doohickey Swirl to repeat the resin swirl on the front.

Times to Treasure at Friday Sketchers #139

Happy Friday Everyone!!! I hope you have had a magnificent week and are looking forward to a marvelous weekend! I know that I can't wait for the weekend to finally arrive AND it is supposed to be in the 50s with no snow or ice in sight!! Yippppeeeee!!

This week at Friday Sketchers #139 we are hosted by Jorunn of Norway who has designed a delightfully fun sketch for us. I hope you will all come over and play along with us where there is a very nice prize provided by our sponsor this week, My Favorite Stamps.

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base, all double matting is PTI, and the DP is from the Spring Fling Paper Stack by Wild Rose Studio. All background panels are machine stitched. The darling little Times to Treasure and accompanying sentiment are by LOTV and were stamped on Cryogen White and the image was colored with Copics. For the horizontal I used the Die-namics Open Scallop Border from My Favorite Stamps. I then topped it with satin ribbon and double flat bow. The floral treatment is made up of Mixed Summer Blooms by Wild Orchid Crafts centered with brads and parts of buttons. I have been so busy this week that I didn't complete the inside of this one so I will save it for a LONG note to someone!!

Thank You SWEET STUFF!!!!!

I haven't had time to make a card for you today because I have so many cards due over the next 5-6 days BUT I did have you in my thoughts when I made this SWEET STUFF for my FOLLOWERS!!! I appreciate you all so much and I hope I show it to you over and over! I have reached the over 3000 FOLLOWERS level so in order to thank you over the next several weeks you will see SWEET STUFF often!!! I hope you like this little desk ensemble because I have 3 more to make for you all if you like it!!! I have also been shopping for a special SWEET STUFF which I hope to have all together soon....smiles!!!

For those of you who KNOW me, I would love to share that I had a NORMAL mammogram last week....although my Vitamin D and C levels mean I still take super-duper of both. And we are now trying to lower my CEA level which is now at a 10 (down from 11 when I had cancer)--the normal being a 3...but we can do that, huh? For any of you nurses, let's keep this situation to ourselves!!! lolol... PLEASE remember those mammograms!!!!!

I made a basket desk ensemble for you today...taking a plain natural basket, spraying it lightly with white paint and using eyelet ruffles, pink gingham ribbon, and a rose to decorate it. It holds the following from the same Shabby Chic design (blue with pink roses)....journal, magnetic list pad, 8 note cards, 8 enclosure cards, twisted notepad, pen, 1 pack of rhinestones, 2 rolls of matching ribbon, 3 bunches of mulberry roses, 1 Maggie!!!!!

Darling Tilda Waits on Her Valentines!!!

Happy Sunday everyone!!! I hope you are having a delightful weekend! I am crafting around waiting on the next snow and ice storm which I am hoping doesn't materialize...but I have gotten alot of things done this weekend just in case...sigh!!!

I don't usually post over the SUNDAY SENSATIONS from Magnolia-licious but I wanted to let you know that the brand new You Are So Special Collection has arrived in the shop at Magnolia-licious and are flying out the door. So please jump over there and check out all of the little cuties!!!!

I have a little something different for you today which I think turned out kinda cute. I started with one of the dollar red mailboxes from Target or Michaels and decorated it for Valentine's Day to be filled with yummy chocolates or some festive Valentine embellishments. On the front side I used Leaning Tilda masked into the Romantic Window from the You Are So Special Collection at Magnolia-licious. The image was colored with Copics, adding a touch of Star Dust Stickles for the lace trim. To give the scene a bit of texture and dimension I added 10mm Open Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. To adhere the panel to the mailbox I used the amazingly wonderful 6"X6" Scor-Tape Sheets from Magnolia-licious. That stuff adheres when nothing else will!!!! For the roof shingles I overlapped rows of Puffy Red Hearts in Line--sometimes I wonder about my brain!!! hahahah I then bordered the image with ribbons from the Really Reasonable Ribbon January RIBBON CLUB Assortment.

On the back of the mailbox I used Love Envelope and Tag With Heart both from the Love Collection 2009, colored them with Copics and added a touch of Stickles and a single heart from the line of hearts. This gives a nice spot for a sweet note to the Special Someone!! Finally I tied miscellaneous ribbons up the flag stick. I also left the little flag blank so that I can add the recipient's name.
