Let's Have A Tea Party

A very happy day to everyone! I hope you are having a magnificent week! The weather has been beautiful here this week...of course I am hoping it isn't the lull before the storm!! Gosh, daffodils are blooming everywhere and I just know that the winter is not nearly over...sooooo, we shall see!!

Today there should be a new challenge over at Lili's Little Fairies Challenge where the theme is Afternoon Tea....but I don't see a posting..sigh... However, to answer all of your email questions about the challenge, I have to say that I am a bit confused about it as well. I know there is some illness but I don't know much more about it nor do I know when it will resume. But I made a card for it anyway...so here ya go....

For my card I used the sweet little LOTV Tea Time which was stamped on X-Press It and colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The base and all double matting is Bazzill, the DP is from the BG Sweet Threads paper pad, and all background panels are machine stitched. For the horizontal I used a lime green twill ribbon and under the image I used a folded square paper doily to look like a fancy napkin. The image was cut out with Nesties, adding pearls to each of the scallops. To finish the front I used more pearls and a little teapot button for a touch of whimsy!!!

The inside is VERY simple this time with just the addition of a few pearls and a few charms...teabag, teapot, teacup...on a horizontal twill ribbon.

Thank you so very much for stopping by to see what's happening here today! I would love for you to drop by often! Have a delightful day and until the next time, BIG HUGS for YOU!!!

Your little friends having tea are so precious! I love your choices of soft colours for these adorable little ladies. The tea pot and the charms are such cute embellishments. The lacy doily makes a perfect backdrop for a tea party.

Oh Jacque, this card brings such a smile to my face! I love tea parties...even as an adult. My hubby and I have them at night. My bridal shower was a tea party. And, my best memories of my Grammy was having afternoon tea with her. I never had a tea party outside like these sweet images. I really love all of those pearls, and that wonderful tea pot on the front cover. That bow/ribbon is wild! I love this colorful center of the card! That twill ribbon and charms are lovely on such vivid paper! And, have a flower or two...love that paper. It'd be a great jigsaw puzzle, wouldn't it! LOL This is great, Jacque! Thanks so much for sharing your colorful art with us!
