SWEET STUFF and Tilda at Wild Orchid Challenge!!

Happy Monday everyone and I hope you have all had a marvelous weekend and are looking forward to a great week! It has been in the mid 70's (23.8C) here so all is well! But I know that more cold is on its way soon so I am not jumping for joy quite yet!! Can you tell I am a spring and summer person?? lol

Today is the new challenge at Wild Orchid Challenge and for this two weeks it's ANYTHING GOES!!!! How exciting is that?!?! And as usual there is a marvelous prize provided by Wild Orchid Crafts...and before you even have a peek at the prize this time, I'm sure you all know that this shop has the most gorgeous flowers, etc in all of Cyberia!!! In addition they ship so quickly AND their customer service is magnificent!

For my DT ANYTHING GOES project, I decorated a papier mache tissue box and then made a matching card.

For the card I used Bazzill for the base and for all double matting. The DP is by Maja Designs and all panels are machine stitched. The DP and the gorgeous dragonfly charm on the tissue box are gifts from my wonderful friend Gunilla. If you check her blog you may find that she has some of the dragonflies as well as angels for sale! They are lovely!!!! For the horizonal I used a 1.25" Ivory Silk ribbon tied into a double bow to dangle a heart charm. The cute little Tilda with Butterfly Dress is from the brand new Butterfly Dreams Collection at Magnolia-licious. Although she is not available right at the moment, I'm sure she will be in as soon as Diana receives the remainder of this new release! She was colored with Copics, with a touch of Stickles on the flowers and on the lace. You can barely see them, but underneath the flowers I have used 2 different colors of doilies made with the French Pastry Doily Die by Cheery Lynn. All of the floral treatment is by Wild Orchid Crafts: Gardenia Stem Flower, 25mm Wild Roses, 15mm Open Roses, 6mm Closed Rosebuds, all resting on MS punched rose leaves. To finish the card I used some beautiful Pearls from WOC. Gosh I forgot to take pictures of the inside but it is just quite simple and more of the same papers.

And now for the tissue box...I am no photographer so this is the best that I can show you for the box and I hope the pics are acceptable and can give you an idea of what the box looks like....

I first painted the papier mache box with dark eggplant acrylic paint and then affixed the four double matted and machine stitched panels using papers from the same Maja line to the sides of the box. Of course I used Scor-Tape galore for this project...lol...so I know it will stay together for sure!!! Around the upper edge of the box I added an Ivory Guipure Lace and an ivory silk bow to hold the lovely dragonfly charm. The floral treatment on the top of the box consists of the same flowers as the card with the addition of an ivory 40mm Trellis Rose. I also used a Silver Filigree Metal Corner and a couple of organza jeweled butterflies from my stash.

I hope you like my little creation and will decide to join us over at the Wild Orchid Challenge this time. I would love for you to drop on over and have a look at the absolutely gorgeous creations which the DT has made for this challenge!

And now.....for a little bit of....

A Sweet Little Tilda at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge

Happy Saturday everyone!! I hope you all had a great week and are settled into a fantastic weekend!

This week at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge we have been treated to a fun and exciting sketch by Mina. You can flip or rotate the sketch, as long as we can still see the elements of the sketch. You can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice and as long as the main image on your creation is a hÄnglar & stÄnglar or Magnolia stamp you will qualify to be in the draw for the fabulous prizes. One of the prizes is from The Ribbon Girl and the other prize is from Crafty Sentiments. Please remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only. The challenge closes next Thursday, March 3.

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and for all double matting. The DP is from the My Mind's Eye Mabel Paper Pad and all background panels are machine stitched. As much as I really like this DP, the orange and teal certainly jerked me right out of my comfort zone...WHEW!! This darling little Tilda was a Valentine surprise from my dear friend Claudia and I don't think she has been released yet. But isn't she a real cutie---saying give me a hug or I love you this much!!! lol... I'm sure as soon as she is released you will be able to find her at Magnolia-licious. She was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, adding a touch of Stardust Stickles to the lace, and cut out to sit on the Nellie Snellen Flower diecut. I used 2 widths of dark teal satin ribbon to form the vertical and the horizontal--and a thin teal organza for the loops to anchor the floral treatment from Wild Orchid Crafts: 40mm Trellis Rose, 25mm Wild Roses, 10mm Open Roses, and 6mm Closed Rosebuds. I also added two large pearl pins for a little different texture. To finish the front I added several WOC Pearls.

The inside is more of the same from the front of the card with the addition of some Recollection Glitter Dots to the loop ribbon treatment and to the Nellie Snellen jotting panel.

I hope you like my little card and will decide to join with us over at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge this week. We would love for you to pop over and check out the absolutely gorgeous cards made by the DT this week!!

Thank you so much for dropping by and it is always such a joy to see that you have been here. I hope you will come back often. Remember that Sunday Sensations will be posted right at midnight EST tonight and will be open until Tuesday at midnight EST. I am betting you will just LOVE the surprise this week...wink wink!!!! My SWEET STUFF is still open until Monday so if you haven't tried for it, just click the picture on the top of the right sidebar! Have a marvelous Saturday!! Big hugs!!

LOTV Bunches of Love at Friday Sketchers

A very happy Friday to everyone!! I hope you have had a splendid week and are ready for a wonderful weekend. I have been celebrating birthdays this week so it's almost good to be back into Blogland..lol

This week at Friday Sketchers #143 we are being hosted by Claudia who has provided a fun sketch for all of us. Also we are being sponsored by Tickled Pink Stamps who has provided a very nice surprise this week. I hope you will pop over and join with us and show us your interpretation of this week's sketch!!

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting and the DP is all from the Hattie Collection by My Mind's Eye. The background panels were all machine stitched. I used the cutest image from the next release at LOTV. This release consists of the cutest little animal images you have ever seen---bears and rabbits and kittens and mice--and will be available on March 9!!! The image I chose for this card is Bunches of Love and it is colored with Copics. The background for the image is MS PATP String Lace, For the horizontal I used a 7/8" Old Gold Organza. The THANKS sentiment is a metalpiece by MM from my stash. The floral treatment is all from Wild Orchid Crafts: 25mm Wild Roses and Cherry Blossom Stem Flowers resting on MS punched leaves. I also added several matching Pins to the upper flowers. The front is finished with Rhinestones to soften the corners.

On the inside I used the same DP and ribbon BUT I found this cute little bunny button which closely matched the coloration of the bunnies on the front of the card and I just had to sit him in a little bit of FlowerSoft grass. Isn't he a cutie??

I hope you like my little creation and will decide to visit the Friday Sketchers blog and join in with us this week. Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!
Bev, Claudia, Janneke, Jeanette, Rach, Tanja

SWEET STUFF and LOTV Sneak Peek/Challenge!!!

Happy Thursday!! I hope you are having a delightful week and soon we will all be into a magnificent weekend! When you read this I am on a wee sabbatical but will be home on Thursday evening. This week has been a fun one! We celebrated my Mom's 81st birthday on Tuesday at the Life Care Center where she has lived for the past almost four years and today is my Auntie's 73rd birthday so we are away for a bit more celebration...Ka-CHING!!!!!

Today is the LOTV Challenge where we are using "Circles or Dots" so I hope you enjoy my little SNEAK PEEK of the most adorable Champion Ted from the next release which are the cutest little animals ever and will be available on March 3 at the LOTV web site....Please come over to the Challenge Blog and join with us so that you will be eligible for a fabulous prize from LOTV!!!!!

For my card I used Bazzill for the base and all matting--the background panels were all machine stitched. The DP is PTI Dots and the other is from the Blueberry Hill paper pad by Nikki Sivils--I love those primary colors!!! The Champion Ted image was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, adding a touch of Clear Spica to the cup and a mixture of Flower Soft for the grounding, and tiny red flowers for additional color, texture, and interest. For the hortizontal I used a small navy gingham ribbon tied into a double flat bow. The upper Blue Ribbon Medal is made with a Tim Holtz rosette die and Nesties with the computer generated sentiment. I also added a bit more navy gingham to make the rosette into a Blue Ribbon!!

On the inside I used stars from a cheapie pair of dangle earrings on the first panel to offset the flat bow and on the second panel I added a trophy button to the jotting panel.

I hope you like my little submission and will decide to join with all of us over at the LOTV Challenge this week, and every week on Thursday!!!!

Waiting Tilda at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge and WINNER!!!!!

A magnificently happy Saturday to each of you!!! I hope you are into a splendid weekend!! It has been so gorgeous here that I could really get accustomed to winter being over----but I know that is not the case so I will save my cartwheels for a bit longer!!!

This week at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge we are being sponsored by Crafts U Love which is providing a wonderful surprise for some lucky participant and the theme is LOVE YOU!!! It’s a bit late for Valentine's Day but your card does not have to be a Valentine's card--it could be marriage, anniversary, engagement, love for a friend/child/parent/pet or whatever the Love You theme inspires for you. You can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice and as long as the main image on your creation is a hÄnglar & stÄnglar or Magnolia stamp you will qualify to be in the draw for the fabulous prize. And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please. The challenge closes next Thursday, February 24.

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is SU and PTI and all background panels are machine stitched. I used the very sweet Waiting Tilda, which is now available at Magnolia-licious, stamped her on XPress It Blending Card, colored her with Copics adding a touch of Stickles to the lace and Glossy Accents to her shoes, and cut her out with triple Nesties. The background doily is a diecut and for the horizontal I used PTI twill ribbon, adding a White Heart Shaped Bead to the double flat bow to top the 2 tiny SU tags. The floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts and resting on MS punched branches: Heather Stem Flowers (which I have shortened), 15mm Open Roses, and 25mm Open Rose all airbrushed with Copics for deeper color, and adding a wee heart bead for continuity. Finally the front was finished with Self-Adhesive Rhinestones which admittedly I always attach with Matte Accents no matter how adhesive they are.

NOTE!!! I am so sorry that I did not mention the name of the die company in my posting...I really try to tell you where EVERYTHING is from...I must have been half asleep when I wrote it...BUT anyway this die is from Cheery Lynn Designs and is called Italian Flourish Doily!

For the inside I have used the same papers and extras...on the first panel I used yet another diecut with ribbon and bow, heart bead, and dangling silver heart charm. On the jotting panel is another bow with simple heart bead.

I hope you like my little card and will decide to join in with us over at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge. We would love for you to drop by for a visit to see the absolutely lovely DT Sample Cards this week!

Happy Sunday and welcome to the February Blog Hop at Really Reasonable Ribbon! If you have arrived here from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings site then you are at the right place and on the right track. If you have arrived here first, please start the hop at the RRR Ramblings so that you will know what terrific prizes await you this month. We were asked to use ribbons from the February Ribbon Club Assortment and they are so absolutely gorgeous and are so very SPRINGTIME!!! They are so cute and lovely---you can see them in my SWEET STUFF below!!!! I wanted to use all of them BUT my brain just could not figure out how to be that creative....smile... You will find that several of the ribbons each month are unique to club members and are not available in the shop---one of the great benefits of being a member of the Ribbon Club and one of the reasons to join!! This month we are being sponsored Sparkle N Sprinkle.

For my card I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and the DP is from an old MM Flower Patch paper pad. All background panels were machine stitched. I used the cute Flower Bear and the "Bearing Birthday Wishes" sentiment from the Bears on Parade set from Sparkle N Sprinkle, stamped them on Cryogen White, colored them with Copics, and cut out with triple Nesties. I also used 3 colors of Semi-Transparent Glitter: Bubblegum, Cyclamen, and Misty Isles on the flower and leaf. I also used Glossy Accents on the chartreuse Wellies and the vase and Spica on her necklace and bracelet. For the vertical I used the beautiful Diamond Satin Light Yellow which is included in this month's Ribbon Club Assortment. I also used the Bow Easy Tool to tie all bows. The flowers in the floral treatment are from my stash.

The inside is very simple since the front is so thick and decorated so heavily.

SWEET STUFF...and now for some SWEET STUFF to celebrate the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop!!!! Please leave a comment before Wednesday, February 16 at Midnight EST if you would like to be eligible. What's Cooking at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge

Happy Saturday everyone!! I hope you have finished a marvelous week and are into a fantastic weekend. It will surely be a sunny one here and I can't wait to get outside a bit!!! I intend to soak up so much Vitamin D that the doctors will wonder where I got it all...lol

This week at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge we have a lovely sketch provided by the sweet and talented Mina. You can flip and rotate the sketch, as long as we can still see the elements of the sketch. You can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice. As long as the main image on your creation is a Magnolia or a hÄnglar & stÄnglar stamp you will qualify to be in the draw for the fab prize. The magnificent prize this week is from Wild Orchid Crafts and is unbelievable!!!! And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please. The challenge will run till Thursday, February 17.

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, and the DP is from Kitschy Kitchen by Melissa Frances which I just love!! I was fortunate enough to get 2 of these pads as a part of my Christmas---one from the very talented Suzan and one from the darling little sons of Claudia! Thank you so much, SWEETIES!!!! All panels were machine stitched. The darling H&S image was a gift from the exceptionally creative Gunilla and I think this little chefette is just such a cutie!!! She was stamped on XPress It Blending Card and colored with Copics, adding a bit of Stempelglede around the edge of the Nestie panel. For the horizonal I used 1.5" Natural Jute Ribbon topped with 3/8" Totally Twill Red . I also used a small primitive heart tied with a bit of twine on the double flat bow. The upper right envelope and tag is also by Melissa Frances and is stamped with a simple "HI" on the inside, adding a pull of Gingham Red Micro checks. On the right bottom is a larger tied heart and a couple of squiggle doo-dads...lol...What chef would be without her utensils??? So in the upper left I used a Karen Foster Loopy Bradline to hang a tiny spoon/knife/fork!!! Kinda fun and whimsical, huh?!?!

The inside is just more of the same with the addition of a much larger MF tag in envelope to be used as the jotting spot!

I hope you like my little card and will decide to join in with us over at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge. We would love for you to drop by for a visit to see the absolutely lovely DT Sample Cards this week!

Thank you so much for coming by today and hope you will want to come back often! Remember tomorrow is the SUNDAY SENSATIONS from Magnolia-licious which is a fun giveaway each week for some lucky visitor! Tomorrow I will also be participating in the RRR Blog Hop and will have some RRR SWEET STUFF for someone!! The first of the week will be the other PINK SWEET STUFF!! Gosh!! This chef must be cooking up a bunch of CANDY!!! hahaha... Have a marvelous Saturday and a fun-filled weekend! Big hugs coming your way!!!

LOTV Birthday Fairy at Friday Sketchers #141

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you have had a marvelous week and are ready for a splendid weekend. I am looking forward to a wonderfully warm weekend and I am so excited that I can get some natural Vitamin D....wooohooooo!!!!

This week at Friday Sketchers #141 we are being hosted by the quintessentially talented and creative Bev Rochester from the UK who has given us a fun and enjoyable sketch. We are also being sponsored by 7 Kids College Fund which is providing a very nice prize for some lucky participant...so come on over and show us your interpretation of Bev's wonderful sketch!!!!

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and for all matting; the DP is from the Tilda Springtime Paper Pad and PTI dots. All major panels were machine stitched. I used the absolutely darling LOTV Birthday Fairy from Lili of the Valley, stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card, colored her with Copics, adding a bit of Prisma Glitter. Her panel is resting on a circular doily made with the Nellie Snellen Die Set. For the vertical I used a MFT Open Scallop border and 7/8" Pink Gingham tied into a double bow with a silver teddy bear charm dangle. Finally the floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts: Small Flat Gardenia and Cherry Blossom Stem Flowers, adding a couple of pink pom-pons with silver cord to repeat from the image. All of the Pearls are from WOC also.

You can see that this is actually an easel card with the lovely Stempleglede Happy Birthday sentiment on the base of the card.

I hope you like my little creation and will decide to join with us at Friday Sketchers this week. Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!

I'm not going to tell you where they are, so if you haven't found them you'll just have go back to the beginning and start hopping! *wink*

For my blog hop creation I used Baby Bunny's Bottle from Meljen's Designs:

The base is Bazzill, all matting is PTI, and the DP is from Nitwits and all background panels are machine stitched. The Bunny was stamped twice on XPress It Blending Card and colored with Copics, adding a bit of Glossy Accents on the bottle. The cute feet were cut out and propped up for dimension. The doily is an MFT diecut topped with a Nestie. The pink ribbon and bow forms the horizontal and dangles a heart charm announcing "it's a girl"!! The BABY bracelet is from a local party store and the floral treatment is made from 20mm Open Roses, 15mm Open Roses, 5mm Closed Rosebuds, and some miscellaneous baby STUFF---can you find the little yellow duckie?? hahahahah

For the inside I used MFT border diecuts to match the doily on the front. On the first panel I dangled a pair of silver baby pins from the simple flat bow...and on the second panel I placed a silver baby charm on top of the bow which is holding a Magnolia Doohickey Tag.

I hope you like my little creation!! I don't know very much about babies so be kind!! lol

Whimsy Sneak Peek - Sentiments and WINNER and SWEET STUFF!!

Happy Monday Everyone and welcome to SNEAK PEEK Day #4 at Whimsy Stamps. I was so honored and humbled when Denise asked me if I would participate in the Sneak Peeks and the Blog Hop on Wednesday to showcase the new Whimsy Stamps which will be released on Wednesday, February 9. They are all so cute! For a listing of blogs participating in the Sneak Peeks please see the Whimsy Inspirations Blog.

Today is the Sneaks of the Sentiments which have coordinating dies. I only had the sentiments so after cutting out the stamp sentiment by hand I can assure you that you will love the new dies! I made a card and a matching envelo-box for the sentiment. The base and matting for both the card and box are Bazzill, the yellow gingham paper is from my dear friend Suzan and the other DP is from the Country Rose Paperpad by Kars.

For my card, I used the darling little Spring Sitter Bunny which is also from the new collection to be released on the 9th, stamped her on XPress It Blending Card 3 times and colored her with Copics. I cut out 2 of the images and propped each layer up on dimensional dots. A bit of Stickles and Prisma glitter was placed on butterflies. For the vertical I used a wide yellow grosgrain, topped with a yellow/white gingham, and finally added a narrow gingham bow to dangle a jeweled butterfly. The floral treatment is all made with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

For the presentation envelo-box I used all the same materials with the addition of the Whimsy Sentiment, a Magnolia Doohickey Tag, and an organza butterfly.

Since the card and the presentation box were so decorated I decided to leave the inside of the card very simple but it still looks finished to me.
