Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you have had a marvelous week and are ready for a splendid weekend. I am looking forward to a wonderfully warm weekend and I am so excited that I can get some natural Vitamin D....wooohooooo!!!!
This week at Friday Sketchers #141 we are being hosted by the quintessentially talented and creative Bev Rochester from the UK who has given us a fun and enjoyable sketch. We are also being sponsored by 7 Kids College Fund which is providing a very nice prize for some lucky participant...so come on over and show us your interpretation of Bev's wonderful sketch!!!!
For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and for all matting; the DP is from the Tilda Springtime Paper Pad and PTI dots. All major panels were machine stitched. I used the absolutely darling LOTV Birthday Fairy from Lili of the Valley, stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card, colored her with Copics, adding a bit of Prisma Glitter. Her panel is resting on a circular doily made with the Nellie Snellen Die Set. For the vertical I used a MFT Open Scallop border and 7/8" Pink Gingham tied into a double bow with a silver teddy bear charm dangle. Finally the floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts: Small Flat Gardenia and Cherry Blossom Stem Flowers, adding a couple of pink pom-pons with silver cord to repeat from the image. All of the Pearls are from WOC also.
You can see that this is actually an easel card with the lovely Stempleglede Happy Birthday sentiment on the base of the card.

I am happy for you for the warm weather! We have been promised to have ~-15C (approx. 5F) for the following 7 days, but with sunshine! So vitamin D can be absorbed here, too :) Very beautiful card with the cutest little pompoms!! Sentiment is also very gorgeous.

YEAHHH!!! You get some warmer weather! And, I am leaving Florida for the week to go up toward DC...where it is snowy and cold! lol
This card is just precious. The light,sketchy coloring is so delightful. I really like those unusual pink fuzzy pom-poms that seem to match the fairy's antennae. I wish I could do that ribbon and bow treatment. You do it so crisply and it looks wonderful!
