A delightful Tuesday to everyone!! Gosh that April showers thing didn't say a thing about May pouring rain!!! But we had plenty of rain, rain, rain this weekend! That's ok...reason enough to stay inside and play with Maggies!!
So this was an excellent opportunity to try another challenge at Just Magnolias that I can use for the next mingle card which requires water and flowers. Here is the fun sketch by Naoual which can be rotated and the elements can be resized, as long as you follow the original sketch.
I used Rainy Tilda from the Fall Collection 2007 since I don't have the new Tilda in Spring Rain yet from the Chasing Butterflies Collection 2009. The new one is now available at Magnolia-licious and she certainly is a real cutie!!!
I used Bazzill CS for the base of the card, Prismatics Nautical Blue pack and Prismatics Yellow pack for the matting, and I have no earthly idea for the rest of the card. The white nestie panel was airbrushed then stamped with the complete image. Another image was stamped and Tilda was cut out and was colored with Copics and propped up on dimensional tape. I also colored the raindrops and colored a water puddle at Tilda's feet. I then added Glossy Accents to each of the raindrops, the puddle, the splash in her hand, and Tilda's boots. I made a small bouquet of daisies with an umbrella-like handle for the upper corner and tied with narrow yellow ribbon. I also added a daisy flower pot button with yellow ribbon to the corner of the nestie for interest! Finally, I added yellow brads to the corners. You will notice that I didn't add a sentiment since there are sentiments all over the dp.
I used coordinating papers for the inside of the card. On the first panel I added a digital umbrella colored with Copics, cut apart and the top propped up on dimensional tape. I added a yellow ribbon to the handle and Glossy Accents raindrops on the top part. I also added Water Dewdrops to the corners of the panel. On the jotting panel I merely placed a matted nestie on the dp, another touch of daisies and MS punched fronds and finally added Dewdrops to the corners.
I hope you like this little girl and will jot her a note. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!!! Hugs!!
