Kneeling Tilda at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge

Happy Friday to each of you!! I hope your week has been one of lots of fun! Today was my preliminary Mammo, blood tests, and all of those other crazy tests and my cancer follow-up is on Monday...So please keep all of those fingers and toes crossed for me. Heck I feel so great I don't know why they even bother...lol

Today is the new challenge at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge and this week we are being hosted by the incomparable DawnyP who has asked us to use BUTTONS, BOWS, and BLOOMS. Now, doesn't that sound like fun?!?!? This week we have two lovely prizes up for grabs so come on over and join in with us!! We would love to see you there! The prizes this week are from The Ribbon Girl and The Cutting Cafe.

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and all matting, the DP is from the Life in the Country Paper Pad by Maja Design, and all background panels are machine stitched. Thank you so much, Gunilla, for these lovely papers!!! I just love them!!! The image I used is from the latest collection at Magnolia-licious which is Sweet Rainbow Collection. She is the darling little Kneeling Tilda and I put her on a hillside looking for ladybugs! She was colored with Copics, adding a touch of StarDust Stickles to the lace. She is holding a ladybug button. The sky is made a la Bev Rochester and the cutiepie image was cut out and propped up for dimension. For the vertical I used a wide red satin ribbon, topped with blue grosgrain, and then 1/2" Red Satin Ribbon from WOC, with triple flat bows with ladybug toppers. The floral treatment is by Wild Orchid Crafts: Sweetheart Blossoms and Poppy Stem Flowers.

The inside is very simple because I love these papers and wanted as much of them to show as possible. The vertical ribbon treatment on the first panel replicates the one on front, and on the jotting panel I placed a ladybug parade...smiles!!

LOTV Christmas Puppy

Happy Thursday Everyone!! I hope you are all having a magnificent week! We are having extremely HOT weather here in the NC mountains...but no complaints yet...lol...as I remember the snow and ice and cold and no electricity last winter!!

My card today uses one of the cutest stamps from the Latest Stamp Launch at LOTV which includes 21 darling Christmas/holiday images! And it won't be long until the next Christmas Launch. You can see the upcoming collection in the catalog on the LOTV site. This image is Christmas Puppy and he looks like he is in doggie heaven, sitting on all of the cushions with bright packages all around him! Because the image is so colorful I decided to use only one layer of a very simple patterned paper. He was colored with Copics, adding a bit of Glamour Dust to his Santa cap. I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting; the DP is from the Polar Expressions Collection by Imaginisce; and all panels are machine stitched. I used a small snowflake ornament to back the double matted sentiment from the Christmas Circular Sentiments set. To finish the front I added some polka dot satin ribbon tied across the corners, and a few red pearls.



The inside is very simple--on the first panel I added a large snowflake ornament with a knotted ribbon, and smaller snowflake ornaments to anchor the jotting panel.

Feathered Friends from the LOTV New Release!!

Happy Sunday everyone!!! I hope your weekend is going exceptionally well!! Thank you all so much for the many birthday greetings and good wishes!! You are such a joy to me!!! BIG SMILES HERE!!!!!

And, for another little Sneaky Peek of the new release about to hit Cyberia from LOTV!!!!! I used Bazzill for the base and for all double matting; the DP is from the Mistletoe Collection by Memory Box; and all background panels were machine stitched. The cutest little image is FEATHERED FRIENDS from the new LOTV Christmas Release which will take place on July 25 at midnight UK time. The new collection has 21 of the most darling stamps you have ever seen!!!! This image was stamped on Cryogen white and colored with Copics, adding Prisma Glitter for the snow, Crushed Velvet for the fur, and a touch of Spica for the bird feeder. It was then double matted with Nesties. I found some matching checked trim in my stash and used it for both the horizontal and vertical--for the horizontal I braided the trim...and used as the vertical the flat bow holds a gold bird charm. The floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts: 35mm Mahogany Trellis Rose, 25mm Light Mocha Wild Roses, and Carnations resting on some Mulberry Paper Holly Leaves that I touched with some gold leafing paint. The front was finished with Self-Adhesive Pearls.


The inside of my card is very simple and floows the design of the front, using the very same supplies. I did add a very sweet sentiment from the Set 5-Christmas Circular Sentiments cut out with triple Nesties on the first panel.
