Fun in the Sun at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop and Friday Sketchers #115 AND A Wee Bit Of SWEET STUFF!!!

Happy Friday, Everyone!!! I hope you have all had a most delightful week and are well prepared for a magnificent weekend!! Gosh after today I will have 3 whole weeks of radiation down so that means maybe only FOUR more weeks!!! Wooooohoooooo!!! Maybe then I can get something accomplished....it is difficult to get anything done since I am sleeping almost 20 hours a day!!! But this will be over very soon and then I can REALLY play!!!!

Today is my very first Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop AND the regular weekly happening over at Friday Sketchers!! So I hope you will participate in both of the exciting events!! If you have arrived here first, I hope you will begin the hop at the Really Reasonable Ramblings Blog for all of your instructions. If you have been there first then welcome and so nice to see you!!

For my card I used the sketch designed for Friday Sketchers by Aud from Norway who is hosting this week. Aud, thanks so much for making this week such a special one with such a fun and exciting sketch!! The base and all matting of my card is Bazzill and the DP is Marianne Designs Blue Floral and Making Memories Yellow Gingham (Thanks, Suzan!!!) All major panels were machine stitched. The little hÄnglar & stÄnglar girl was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, and cut out so that she could be propped up on her little beach setting which was made by sponging the sky and using Ultra Fine Flower Soft Sand for the beach. To finish the front I added a gorgeous 7/8" Yellow Gingham from Really Reasonable Ribbon with a bow made with the Bow-Easy tool. I also added a sand shovel and pail as well as a seagull and sun to complete the beach setting.

For the inside of the card I used the same DPs. On the first panel I used another horizontal of the lovely yellow gingham ribbon with bow, adding a soaring seagull. For the second panel, the jotting panel, I also repeated the beach scene, adding a pelican perched on a pier piling, a sea shell and a starfish, all resting on another sandy beach. I hope you like my little creation and will let me know what you think of it!!!

To celebrate my first RRR Blog Hop I would love to offer you some SWEET STUFF!!!

HOWDY Girlfriend..you just completely amaze me again!!! Gotta love Tilda as a Texas Cowgirl. This one definitely is a must get.

But, girlfriend, it's time you take care of yourself. You put so much effort into sending out BLOG CANDY. I know you are such a giving and loving person, that you just want to GIVE MORE. You even send the items so eloquently wrapped. I'm starting to worry about you...and you don't want that. LOL Just take care of yourself. It's ok to take a break. We all will be ok without CANDY.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!!!!

LOVE & BIG HUGS, Sheila

Oh my goodness, this card is adorable! The little hÄnglar & stÄnglar gir stamp is just too cute. Years ago, when my daughter was young, I made her a red outfit that looked just like the one this girl is wearing. I'm definitely going to have to have this stamp... that is, if I can find it. Where can I buy this stamp?

Thank you for your inspiration.
