Tilda Sits Under the Rose Arbor and WINNER!!

A magnificent Saturday to each and every one of you!!!! I had my follow-up visits this week with the oncologists and chemo folks and the word is that now I must endure 6-8 weeks of radiation EVERYDAY...Gosh!! Do I have time for all of this??? I guess I will make time!! On Monday I have mammos, gamma imaging, and who knows what all of those other tests are?? BUT the good news is that they will also remove the port in my chest that they have so happily used for all of the chemo treatments...so that's a great sign!!!! Let's keep our fingers crossed for the best of all worlds...smile!!!!!

I am so pleased to be able to show you the card I have done for the Magnolia-licious challenge for the month of July which is a stand-up card. You can find all particulars and the link for instructions on the Magnolia-licious High-lites site so I hope you will join with us this month and let us all see your magnificent creations.

For my card, I used Bazzill for the base...all matting is PTI, and the small touch of DP is from the Papermania Rose Garden Collection. That sweet little Sitting Wedding Tilda and the lovely Wedding Rose Arch are both from Magnolia-licious and I am thinking they are both available and can be used for so many occasions and events!! The Arch and Tilda were stamped on Cryogen White and of course Tilda was stamped twice and cut out so that she could be propped up with dinensional tape. I colored all with Copics and for all of the flowers I used a technique presented by Susie Haghighi last year some time which uses two colors of Liquid Pearls (Ruby Red and Pastel Raspberry) swirled together with a toothpick--I added dots of Lemon Yellow to the centers. I used pink gingham ribbon and ruffles, all from Really Reasonable Ribbon, to the base of the card and to the outside edge of the stand-up, placing several tulle/mulberry roses (Thanks, Suzan...hugs!!) on the base and on the leaf ribbon vine. To finish the card I added a couple of organza butterflies and Bow-Easy flat bows.

For the jotting side of the card, I left it very simple and added more bows. I hope you like my little submission to the Magnolia-licious Challenge!!!

WINNER...please forgive me for being late with this announcement but I have not had time this week to be on-line very much because of appointments, tests, etc. But my sincere thanks to everyone who dropped by to leave their thoughts. The winner of the Flower Soft SWEET STUFF is...

Auntie Em who said:
I am so glad you have the worst of the treatments behind you. There are too many wonderful things to do and see to be ill and I think you know how to enjoy them all! Beautiful card, as always! Thanks for sharing your time and talents! :o)

So it looks as though this surprise is going to New Brunswick, Canada. Auntie Em, please contact me before Wednesday, July 7 at Noon DST so that I can get your package to you right away!

My sincere thanks to each of you for dropping by to see what's happening in my jumbled up world! It is a much happier and kinder place because you are all such a very important part of it. The many comments, emails, etc that you send to me, have made my life much nicer and I appreciate the constant encouragement so much...Enjoy your weekend and I hope to see you all again real soon! Big hugs for all!!

Just BEAUTIFUL, Jacque!!! Such a great combination of techniques you've used : ) I love the inspiration you bring to so many!

You have gone through the worst of things already, my friend. What seems like endless test and doctors... will indeed come to an end AND you will have this as a distant, although painful memory in the years to come.

Lifting up prayers of continued strength and perseverance!!!

I bury myself in my crafts to keep my mind from dwelling on 'scary' thoughts. Cancer was a reality, but it is NOT who we are! I speak VICTORY and healing into your life in Jesus' Powerful Name ♥

Love and hugs ~

Another incredible card! I've been told that the radiation doesn't beat you up nearly as much as the chemo dragon. I certainly hope that's true in your case! As for time, just get yourself a time stretcher, LOL. (Let me know where you got it, OK?) The one good thing about the radiation is that once they get the target programed (assuming, of course, that this is the same as my friends) each procedure is really fast. Takes longer to get there and get home! That should leave you with some creative time left.

You know that we'll all be thinking of you! Will be looking for your next post. Meanwhile have an absolutely marvelous 4th of July holiday weekend!
Hugs,
R/
