I am a cancer survivor for 2 years now and went through all three, lumpectomy, chemo and radiation, so I understand exactly what you are going through. Happy BlogAversary. I am a follower through the email as it is so much easier for me to get the emails and catch up on everyones art.
I want to thank you for doing this even when you have so much other stuff to do in your personal life. Yes I am talking about the chemo. You see I am a cancer fighter also as I have stage 4 colon cancer. I did 3 straight years of chemo for 12 hours every other week. My first Oncologist only gave me 2 to 4 years to live when the enlarge lymph nodes were found. I wouldnt accept it and I found another doctor who treated me with new chemo. I am happy to say that the Oncologist team call me a Miracle at NJCC at HUMC in NJ as I have been off chemo for 2.5 years and those lymph nodes are still there but they must be comfortable because they haven't attacked anything else nor got larger.
My thoughts since Cancer are
forget about yesterday and the past, it is over
live today because I am here
maybe think about tomorrow

Ha!!! I found you again! I had been reading along on how things were going with you and something happened that I lost your website. Happy Anniversary Jacque!! I would like to tell you I will think of you while you are having chemo. Sorry my english isn't that good but I think you know what I'm trying to say. I will pray you will overcome this disease.
A few weeks ago my mum suddenly got ill. She was sent to the hospital and after a few weeks and scans and so on, they discovered she has cancer (I believe the english word is intestine?)
First they told us they could operate and she could recover because on the scans they didn't see any metastases. But after the operation they phoned me and told me it is too late for her. There are many metastases... I am very sorrowful, cause my dad died when I was only 6 years old and since I have no brothers or sisters, my mum and I were always together. Even now, I'm 46, we see eachother every day.
I don't know what I'm going to do without her.
Still... we DO hear several stories of people who had the same thing. Two old ladies, both 80+, had exactly the same as my mother. One of the ladies lived for 13 more years, the other lived 16 more years and became 97!!
So even when the doctors tell us there is no hope for my mother, I pray that she may stay with me for some years more.
When it can happen to others... why not my mum? And that's what you should do if possible. Stay positive! (I know it's easy for me to say) I wish you all the strength you need!! hugs, jolanda from the netherlands
