It's an Eastertime Hanglar at Friday Sketchers 94 and WINNER!!!

A very happy Friday to everyone!!! I trust that each of you has had a magnificent week and are looking forward to a marvelous weekend! I have some VERY good news and some not so good news...so I will give you the good news first!! I went today for my pre-chemo labs and conference and I have been deemed by the oncologists as their "Poster Child" for my first round of chemo...let's just hope the next round goes so well...which is Monday the 22nd....eeeeek...lol...And now for the very sad news...Hospice has been called in to the Life Care Center where my 81 year old Dad has been since this past July suffering from advanced Alzheimers...he is not expected to make it through the weekend so please join me in hoping that it is fast and very painless. My sincere thanks and appreciation to the professionals with the local Hospice and the Life Care Center where both my Mom and Dad are residing!! My thanks to each of you also for your concerns and continuing support...Hugs!!!!

This week at Friday Sketchers Week 94 we are hosted by the magnificently talented and creative Claudia who has provided us with a challenging and fun sketch so I hope you can join us. Thanks to Plum Purdy for sponsoring this week's challenge with a $25.00 gift certificate to shop over at her store. Just remember to link your posting with MrLinky and also be sure to link back to Friday Sketchers in your posting.

I would not have been able to make my DT Sample Card this week had it not been for my special friend Carole who sent me this darling Easter hÄnglar & stÄnglar stamp as a gift. Please visit Carole and share a bit of smooches with her...you will be amazed at the beauty of her cards and the talent she always demonstrates on her cards!!! I stamped this little cutie twice on Cryogen White and cut out one image to prop up on dimensionals...they were colored with Copics and a touch of Shimmerz (thanks, Claudia for the sweet gift and for the introduction to Shimmerz). I used tiny satin ribbons for the horizontals and added a Bow-Easy bow, a few flowers, and a dangling Easter Basket charm. I hope you like my interpretation of Claudia's magnificent sketch!! I bet you may be able to win a Bow-Easy and some more Sweet Stuff if you check back with me tomorrow...smile!!!!

I hope you like my little creation and will want to try your hand at the sketch. Please visit the other DT members and check out their magnificent interpretations of Claudia's sketch:

Aud, Beatrix, Carole, Claudia, Jacqueline, Jeanette, Tanja

WINNER!!!!! Where is this package going???? CONGRATULATIONS to...

Jacque, that is a spectacular card!! I love the bright colours and that little charm is so cute!

So sorry to hear about your Dad - I know the difficulties of relatives with Alzheimer's - have lost two Nans after long drawn out suffering, and my 86yr old Grandad has already called twice this morning very confused about when he is being collected for "work" (the Day Centre he visits 4 times a week).
I join with you in hoping that it is fast and painless for your Dad, and hope that you can stay strong over the weekend.

Much love

Esme xx
