Hugs and Kisses in the Garden!!

A very Happy Saturday to everyone!! I hope that you had a great week and are ready for some fun and exciting crafting time this weekend!

Today is my turn to post over at the Southern Ridge Trading Company blog and I would love for you to come over and check out how the design team uses the gorgeous products from the SRTC store.

For my card I used the beautiful garden gate, GAR-284 which is pictured below:

For my card I used Bazzill for the base and double matting and the DP is from the Bella Rose paper pad from First Edition. The sweet little girlie is Little Garden Sally, colored with Copics and Promarkers. I used some MS punched butterflies on the gate. They were covered with Stardust Stickles and decorated with tiny pink pearls. For the foreground I used some very small mulberry paper flowers and lots of mixed FlowerSoft. The Hugs and Kisses are from the Whimsy Love Mini Ticket set cut out with Mini Ticket Die.

Thank you so much for dropping by today and I hope you will let me know what you think of my card! Have a marvelous weekend...and until the next time, I send big hugs!!!

Happy Halloween Gift Set!! WINNERS!!

Happy Friday, everyone!! I  hope you have had a delightful week and are ready for a fun-filled weekend! Gosh, the first day of Autumn this week made me even turn on my gas fireplace for a bit...Brrrrrr!!!

Today I would like to show you a project I made for the Through the Craftroom Door magazine and it was so much fun!! I used the darling little Trick or Treat Witch designed by the amazingly talented Mi Ran Jung!

I started with a wooden box and painted it with purple acrylic paint and then started decorating with abandon. The double matting is all Bazzill, the DP is from a Best Creations paper pack, and the image is colored with Copics and Promarkers. On the image panel I added a little bit of chipboard from SRTC in the GAR-280 set, a spider button, and some black pearls. For the horizontal I used some textured and gingham ribbons to make a double flat bow to anchor a pumpkins charm. The Happy Halloween shaker sentiment is from my stash.

This view shows the outside of the box where I used black and purple laces as well as more gingham ribbon.

For the inside of the box I decorated 4 small boxes for some surprises, as well as the inside of the lid using some minimized images.

For the bottom of the box I used another small image and some wooden spools which I painted in black acrylic paint.

I would love to hear what you think of my creation!!

Autumn "Gift" Cards...cards with a surprise!! AND SWEET STUFF!!!

A very Happy Tuesday to each of you!! I hope that you are enjoying your week as much as I am. I am away on a little getaway with my Auntie and that's always great fun!!

Today is my first time to post on the CutCardStock Blog so I hope you will come over and give me an evaluation of my first tutorial...eeeek!! The product focus is on Brown, Orange, and Gold CS and the theme is Fall. My project is certainly not my idea, but it is one I have enjoyed making for a long time. The first time I saw this type of card with a little gift inside was when I received a lovely example from the very talented Iris Wiechmann while I was going through chemotherapy. I have made 3 examples....from the very clean and simple on the left to the most decorative on the right...

From the CutCardstock shop I have used Brown, Dark Orange, and Gold papers from the Basis-Colored Cardstock Collection and Cryogen White for the image. I also used Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to put most of the projects together. I also used a Darice Fall Leaf Background folder to emboss all of the gold layers and a brown satin ribbon for the closure on all cards.

For the clean and simple example I used a thank you sentiment that was computer generated and sized the inside pocket to hold 2 Ritter chocolate bars.

For the middle card, which is for an under-the-weather friend, I sized the pocket to hold several tea bags and honey packets and made a belly band for the package of tissues. I made a couple of paper rosettes, added computer generated sentiments, and some punched oak leaves.

For this most decorative card, I used a darling image, Loving Autumn Annie, designed by Mi Ran Jung and colored with Copics and Promarkers. To the front I also added punched oak leaves and mulberry flowers. On the inside I used a lovely sentiment from the Autumn Letter Seals by Whimsy Stamps and a satin bow. The pocket was sized for two small canisters of Godiva chocolate pearls.

SWEET STUFF!!!

I didn't have time to take a picture of the SWEET STUFF but all of you know what my typical Flowers/Ribbons/Embellies/Stamps surprises look like. So here is the big favor I am asking you to do this time. Please go over to the CutCardstock Blog and leave me a brief comment about my tutorial before Friday morning and you will be in for the SWEET STUFF prize!!! The winner will be selected from the comments on my tutorial at the CutCardstock blog posting. Big hugs and many thanks!! Good Luck!!

Also, thank you so much for coming by today and I hope to see you again real soon. Until then, Big Hugs!!!

Santa's Helper from Art By Mi Ran at Treasured Times Stamps

Happy Monday to all of my friends!! I hope that your weekend was spectacular and full of crafty fun and that your week will be special as well!

Today I would like to share with you quite a simple card that I made with the darling Santa's Helper designed by the quintessentially talented Mi Ran Jung for Treasured Times Stamps. She is the cutest little helper in her Santa dress and cap and standing next to a sleigh full of Christmas packages.

The base and double matting is from CutCardstock, I can't remember what DP I used, and the image was stamped on Cryogen White. I decided to use traditional Christmas colors on this one. The image was colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding Liquid Applique for the fur on her costume and both Prisma Glitter and Diamond Dust for the snow. For the horizontal I used green organza ribbon tied into a double flat bow to dangle 3 holiday bells. The green pearls soften all of the corners and finally I added a sleigh and a couple of reindeer buttons across the sky!! I hope you like her!!!

SWEET STUFF!!!

I have TWO of these deeply etched red rubber stamps with cling cushion attached and they would love a new home. Is that home yours?? Just leave a comment on this posting before Wednesday at midnight ET and you will be in for the draw. You will certainly have them in time for your own holiday cards! Good luck!!

Thank you all so much for coming by to see what's happening in my world and I hope to see you again real soon!! Until the next time, I send Big Hugs!!!!

Love at SRTC!

Hello, everyone....I hope that you are all well and enjoying each of your moments!! Fall is definitely in the air in these mountains and the leaves are already beginning to turn and soon will be on the ground...argh!!! But at least it isn't as bad as some of our northern neighbors who have already had snow...EEEEEKKKKK!!!

I wanted to share my Southern Ridge Trading Company blog easel card which I made a week or so ago and couldn't post on my blog because of computer craziness!

This one was so much fun to make and I really like the way it turned out. I used a couple of pieces from the SRTC shop which I think really made a statement on the card. I used FRA-130 and Love from the WDG-310.

The darling image I used inside the frame is the cute Heart Sign designed by the very talented Mi Ran. She was colored with Copics and Promarkers adding lots of Glossy accents to the hearts and hair ties. I added lots of red pearls around the frame and to soften the corners. I also used a double flat bow of organza ribbon in the upper left corner and all of the flowers used in the right corner are from WOC: Roses and Hip Rosebuds and heart pins.

For the base of the card I used the script Love and another bow to serve as the stop for the card.

Thank you so much for coming by today and, as always, I appreciate your comments so much. Have a wonderful weekend and until the next time, big hugs!!!
