Happy Birthday, Baby...WINNERS...NEWS...SWEET STUFF!!

Happy, Happy Day, everyone!!!! I hope you are having a nice week and that things are wonderful in your world!! Or at least getting better for those of you who have had a "SANDY" experience!! My thoughts and prayers are certainly with all of you who are suffering hardships because of the horrible weather situation.

For my card today I used a darling Sylvia Zet image from the New Release at Whimsy Stamps called Birthday Baby Girl...and isn't she just the cutest little darling!!! She was stamped on X-Press It and colored with Copics and Flexmarkers, adding Liquid Pearls for the bubbles, centers of flowers, and cake icing, and a bit of Prisma Glitter to the candle flame. (NOTE: This card was made for the Wild Orchid Crafts blog where there is something new everyday! If you haven't visited there it will be well worth your time!) Most of the embellishments are from Wild Orchid Crafts web shop. For the horizontal I used 1 " Organza Ribbon tied into a double flat bow. My floral arrangements  are made with Trellis Roses  in both sizes, Hip Rosebuds, Cosmos Daisies, and some Wiry Daisies that will be coming to the WOC shop very soon. For the image panel I used a couple of Decorative Metal Corners. To finish the card I softened the corners with Self-Adhesive Pearls and added a peach heart button from my stash. I hope you like my little creation!!

A Fun Card, Some NEWS, and SWEET STUFF!!!

 

A very happy Wednesday to everyone! Gosh, I know that many of you are so happy that the week is half over! My thoughts have certainly been with those millions of people who have suffered at the wrath of "SANDY" and hope that things can start getting back to normal real soon. We only had horrific winds, rain, and threats of snow. Amazingly, every area just north of me had plenty of snow so I will consider myself very fortunate.

 

My card today is one that was so much fun to make. The base and all double matting is Bazzill and the DP is from Papermania's Home for Christmas paper pad---and I LOVE these DPs!!! I used the darling little Joyful Tilda from the A Christmas Story Collection available at Magnolia-licious. And gosh, there is already another collection on taps at Diana's shop--The NEW Nativity Collection. Tilda was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics and Flexmarkers, adding Stickles to the flowers in her hair and for the lace on her dress, Glossy Accents to the teapot, and silver MS Glitter Pen to the tray. For the horizontal I used organza ribbon tied into a double flat bow and if you look carefully you can also see that I have used one of my newest FAVORITE products from Whimsy Stamps called Lovely Tape. It is so easy to use and is so gorgeous. It is available in different sizes and styles and in both white and ivory. I also used a couple of Vintage Flourishes diecuts (teapot and teacup and saucer) which were designed by Jolanda Bergmans of  Noor! Design. I could not believe how much the teapot resembles the one Tilda is holding!!! I rolled both of the diecuts around a thin pencil before adhering them to give them much more dimension. Although they look very dark in the photo, they are actually a dark olive green to match the matting and DP. To finish the card, I added pearls to soften the outside corners and a couple of little gingerbread boy cookies for the image panel.

WHIMSY STAMPS October Release - Day 4 and SWEET STUFF!!!!

Hello and welcome to Day 4 of our October Rubber & Die Release Showcase!

 For my card, I used one of the brand NEW darling Whimsy Prints from the Merry Christmas Prints Collection designed by Elisabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps. Isn't she just the cutest thing!!!! The base of my card and all double matting is from Bazzill and the DP is from the Simple Stories Handmade Holiday Collection which was a gift from my sweet friend, Suzan!  Thank you so much, Sweetie!!! For the horizontals I used some deep red organza ribbon tied into double flat bows and topped with olive green bells tied on with hemp twine. I added Star Dust Stickles to the snowflakes on the image and the sentiment is from the NEW "Tis the Season Notables 5 designed by the incomparable Ann Vento for Whimsy Stamps and cut out with a Notables 5 Die. I added a touch of Shabby Shutters Distress Markers and tiny red rhinestones to the sentiment and more rhinestones to soften the corners.
