Happy Tilda at Just Magnolia

Happy Friday Afternoon! Gosh, it's almost weekend and I hope it will be a delightful one for you! More snow is on the way AGAIN and I am so looking forward to SPRING!!

This week at Just Magnolia the challenge is BIRTHDAYS - remember your creations must have a Magnolia image on it to qualify for the prize draw. The lovely prize this week is from Jacobi Drachten. The winner will be chosen by Random Generator next week so to be in the running all you need to do is ensure you have at least one Magnolia image on your card and link your card (not your blog) in Mr Linky and have your card posted by 8pm UK time next Thursday 4th March 2010. I hope you will visit the Just Magnolia blog to see the lovely Maggie cards made by the Design Team and will join with us this week! I would love to see YOUR birthday cards, too!!!

For my card, I used Bazzill for the base, PTI CS for all matting, and the DP is MM Spring Fling. This darling little Happy Tilda is from Magnolia-licious where you will find not only the new Raising the Ceiling Collection in house but also pre-ordering for the Hoppy Easter Collection...so hurry on over!!! Tilda was colored with Copics and cut out so that she could be propped up on dimensional tape. I folded her little hand down so that she could hold two balloon buttons to help a lucky someone celebrate a birthday! I added borders of green lace from Webster's Pages, four small bows made with three pastel colors of very narrow satin ribbons, and two gift buttons for the bottom corners. For the computer generated sentiment I used two small lit candles!! HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Kitty Love at Friday Sketchers 91

Happy Friday everyone!! Whew what a week!! I hope that you have had a delightful week and are looking forward to a very enjoyable weekend! My weekend can't possible go slowly enough...lol

Today is WEEK 91 over at Friday Sketchers and we are being hosted by the magnificently talented Carole from England who has designed an absolutely lovely sketch for us to use this week. I hope that you will come on over and play along with us this week using Carole's sketch so that you will be eligible for a very nice prize from Simon Says Stamp.

For my Design Team sample card I used Bazzill for the base, PTI for all matting, and the DP is Daisy May by Imaginisce and PTI Dots. All panels are machine stitched and I used the very darling Kitty Love by Belles 'n Whistles colored with Copics. Rather than vertical stripes of DP I used white organza ribbon and bows topped with pink and white organza roses...Thank you so much, Suzan, for the pretty DP AND the lovely roses!!! Finally I added pearlized flower buttons to the dotted DP panel.

I am so sorry but I don't have time these days to complete the insides of my cards to show you how I finish them...but this too shall pass, and when it does I will have a stack of cards to design middles for...lol

I would like to thank each and every one of you who visited my blog and left such magnificent comments! I would love to send a sweet stuff to each of you BUT Oh My Goodness, there were more than 1400 of you!!! I was absolutely SHOCKED that so many of you came by to see me!! I apologize that I am late in making this announcement but with the surgery on Tuesday and the task of checking out so many comments, I just could not finish until this very moment!! So I guess you must like to try for Sweet Stuff as much as I like to give it away!!! After eliminating any duplicates and those who were after the announced deadline, I used random.org to select the winner.

Flower Soft Challenge and Some SWEET STUFF for YOU!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone and I hope your week has started in such a positive way!! I am pre-posting this for you because I will be in the hospital on Tuesday getting the porthole installed....wonder if they can look in and see what's cooking in this old body??? lol I will begin 6 sessions of chemotherapy on Monday, March 1, so we will see just how well I handle this new experience!! The sessions will be 3 weeks apart so I am planning on LOTS of wonderful and creative days in between the sessions!!! AND on Day 15, the hair becomes a shiny head!!! Just think, no more haircuts and more $$$ for crafting stuff...wooooohoooooooo!!!!

This is my very first opportunity to contribute to the Flower Soft Blog and I have been looking forward to it so much since I was named to the DT several weeks ago! Our challenge today is to "Say It With Flower Soft" and a tutorial can be found HERE. I have also used a Moments In Time image for each of my cards and I think they are so darling! Moments In Time is a collection of heart-warming imagery brought to you by the talented illustrator Rikey Austin and developed by Flower Soft® into a series of nostalgic Card Toppers™ and Stamp Sets. Kling-on cushioning is included with each stamp.

For the first card above I used Just For You image and the DP is Imaginisce, a gift from the so sweet and very talented Suzan. Thanks Sweetie!! The image was colored with Distress Inks and then I added a bit of Flower Soft at her feet for dimension. The letters for HI were cut with Cricuit and covered with Ultra-Fine Flower Soft.

For the next card I used Cosmo Cricket DP and the image Man of the Match was colored with Copics, adding a bit of Flower Soft to the grass. The letters PALS are chipboard letters covered with Ultra-Fine Flower Soft.



The last card is the sweetest image Grows With Love colored with Distress Inks, adding a bit of Flower Soft to the grass. The DP is from Marianne Designs Pretty Papers Bloc Blue. GROW was just written on the CS and covered with Flower Soft.
