Traveling Tilda Says hello!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!!! I hope that everything is very well with each of you and hope you are enjoying your week!!! Gosh!! It's so great to be back!! I have so much paperwork to go through and there is still a long list but...will do the rest in a timely fashion--whatever that is!! haha I would like to thank all of you for all the many kindnesses you have extended to me!! HUGS!!!!!!!!!

I just couldn't get my Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge card done last Friday where Pops is the wonderful hostess and gave us the anything goes with the option of Coffee and Cream. I don't drink the stuff but I tried to use as much coffee and cream as I could on my card!! So if you haven't dropped over, there is still time!!! There is a very nice prize awaiting some lucky participant!!!!

For my card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is from the Blissful Pad by Authentique, and all background panels are machine stitched.I used the darling little #377 Traveling Tilda from Magnolia-licious, stamped her twice, colored her with Copics, and propped up both images to give her alot of dimension. By the way, the new Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection is now available for pre-order and it won't be long before they are ready to be shipped out!! Yipppeee!!! The Little Tilda is sitting in a Marianne Designs diecut which is embossed and decorated with WOC Self Adhesive Pearls which come in the most gorgeous color combinations. The floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts: Small Curly Wild Rose, 1" Wild Roses, Daffodils, Tulips, and Aster Daisies. The front was finished with Decorative Metal Corners, and a double flat bow of 1" Organza Ribbon.

For the inside I used the same papers and elements...But a point I have to make is that I really didn't like the pink splotch on upper right on the gold gingham paper...but it a part of the distressing on the paper....sigh!

Thank you all so very much for dropping by and I hope to see you again real soon and more often!!! Please remember that this is October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month so you know what to do about that!!!!!!! If you don't, just ask me!!!! Soon you will see some PINK right here, so don't miss it!!! Sending big hugs your way!!!

Traveling Tilda at Just Magnolia

Happy Happy Sunday to Everyone!!! I hope you all are having a splendid weekend! This Fall-like weather and a three day weekend has done wonders for me!! And I am thrilled that I am free until Tuesday!!!

This week at Just Magnolia we are all using the fabulous sketch by the super talented Dawny P and it was admittedly difficult for me because there were so few pieces and layers. But we would love for you to come over and see the DT members sample cards and join with us this week for the chance at a fabulous prize from Elaine at Quixotic Paperie. You can flip and/or rotate the sketch, as long as we can still see the elements of the sketch. Don’t forget that you can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice as long as the main image on your creation is a Magnolia stamp. And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please. The winner will be chosen by Random Generator next week so to be in the running all you need to do is ensure you have at least one Magnolia image on your card and link your card (not your blog) in Mr Linky and have your card posted by 8pm UK time next Thursday 2nd September. We would love to see you!!!!

For my card I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and the DP is all from the Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby Paper Stack. I used Traveling Tilda and Travelers Luggage from Magnolia-licious although it looks as though neither are available at the moment. If you would like these stamps send an email to Diana and I'm sure she will do her best to get them for you. The Traveling Tilda is from the new Bon Voyage Collection which is filled with so many little darlings. Tilda and the luggage were stamped on Cryogen White and rather than mask I wanted to have more dimension, so Tilda was cut out and propped up on the luggage. Both images were colored with Copics and a touch of Spica. For the two verticals I used brown satin ribbon with copper buckles to repeat the straps on the luggage. I also used a little copper frame for the script Hello and tied it with a leather strap. I finally added a floral treatment of a rose and asters.

For the inside of the card, I repeated the two brown verticals adding flat flowers in browns and pinks. And for the jotting spot a simple flat bow and dangling suitcase charm.

Thank you all so much for dropping by to check on my little Maggie today and I hope you will let me know what you think of my little creation! It is always such a joy to see you stopping by and I hope you will return often. Take care and be safe, and until the next time, BIG MAGGIE HUGS for EVERYONE!!
