Tilda on a Stroll at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge

Yipppeeee!!! And a very happy Friday to each of you!!! I hope you have had a marvelous week and are prepared and more than ready for a great weekend!! I have had a wonderful week--I am finally back into the swing of things with going to the gym every day so I think I am on my way back to normalcy--whatever that is!! hahahha

This week at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge we are hosted by the very talented Mindy who has provided us a really fun challenge--to use PINK/PURPLE/PEARLS on our card or project. There are two fabulous prizes this week...So come on over and play along with us!!!! We would love to see your creations!!

For my DT Sample Card I made an easel card using Bazzill for the base and all double matting; the DP is from the Wild Rose Studio Lilac Mist Paper Stack; and all background panels are machine stitched. I used the cute little Tilda with Straw Hat from Magnolia-licious, coloring her with Copics and a touch of Stickles and Prisma Glitter. She was double matted with Nesties. For the vertical I used a pleated satin and topped it with 12mm (1/2") Lilac Satin Ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts, tying it into a double flat bow to dangle a little butterfly charm. For the upper right side I used a pearl swirl. The floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts: 35mm Trellis Rose, 25mm Wild Roses, 15mm Open Roses, 6mm Closed Rosebuds, and Heather Stem Flowers. You can see that I added a touch of StarDust Stickles to the larger roses for a little sparkle. To finish the front I added a Small Filigree Silver Corner which I painted white.


For the base of the easel I used the same paper, ribbons, and flowers but added a couple of pearl flowers and a SB Fancy tag with pearls for the sentiment. That's good advice for all of us--REMEMBER to stop and smell the roses!!!

These are all made by a very dear friend of mine!! I'm sure that many of you will remember Ann Myles (better known as Madgesty) who was one of the most exceptional cardmakers I ever had the pleasure of meeting and she was such an inspiration to me. Tilda with Straw Hat at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge!!!

Happy Friday to everyone!!! I hope you have had a magnificent week and are ready for an even better weekend!! Aren't weekends always better??? This may just be a great weekend for some planting and digging in the dirt!!! Wooohoooo!!!

This week at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge we are celebrating our 2 year Anniversary with a BIRTHDAY theme and would love for you to have a peek at the marvelous submissions by the DT and then decide to join in with us where there is a MAGNIFICENT prize from one of our AMAZING Sponsors, Simon Says Stamp! For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and for all double matting--the backgrounds are all machine stitched. The floral DP is from Lilac Mist and the gingham is from the Gorgeous Ginghams, both collections from Wild Rose Studio. I have also used the darling little Tilda With Straw Hat from the new Butterfly Dreams Collection at Magnolia-licious and it is available!!! This is one cutie that can be used for so many occasions!! She was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, adding a bit of Prisma Glitter to the butterfly and Star Dust Stickles for some additonal sparkle, before cutting out with triple Nesties. For the horizontal I used a pink grosgrain topped with a sparkly purple ribbon with bow tied into a double flat bow before adding a couple of Hip Rosebuds from WOC. The lovely Lace is also from WOC. The upper floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts also: 40mm Trellis Rose, 25mm Open Roses, Poppy Stem Flowers and more Hip Rosebuds. The circular sentiment is a brand new LOTV Clear Additions which is now available in the LOTV shop...gosh there are so many new stamps in this range!!! After stamping the sentiment, I added a touch of coloring with Copics and added some Rhinestones. The front was finished with Pearls to soften the corners.



On the inside I used a gingham square in the center of the first panel to anchor the bow and dangling silver heart charm. On the second panel I used another sentiment from the A5 Verses sheet, adding tiny Rhinestones to the corners of the jotting panel.
