Lace, Lace, and More Lace at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge

Happy Friday to each of you!! I hope you are finishing up a wonderful week and are looking forward to a marvelous weekend!! I will be going to St. Louis for a few days for a little R&R and to take a family friend to see the Cardinals and Phillies baseball game as a part of his Happy 90th Year Birthday present!!! So I will report to you when I get back!!! I have pre-scheduled some postings so let's all keep our fingers crossed that Mr Blogger Man is back with us!!!

In spite of all of the Blogger problems...arghhhhhh!!!...today is a new challenge over at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge where we are hosted by Claudia who has selected the theme Make it Lacy so we would like to see LACE featured somewhere on your project – either real or faux/punched/die cut/ paper etc. Doesn't that sound like fun?!? So please come on over and play along with us and have a look at the wonderful sample cards done by the other DT members. There are a couple of fabulous prizes this week--Jacobi.nl and Creative Treasures are our magnificent sponsors for this challenge.

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting is PTI. The DP is from the Crate Paper Portrait Collection and all background panels are machine stitched. The image I have used is that darling little Tilda with Lace Jeans from the Butterfly Dreams Collection at Magnolia-licious. She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics, adding a touch of Stickles to the lace and hairbow and Liquid Pearls to the buttons. She was cut out with double Nesties and encircled with some sweet lace which was a special gift from the very talented Suzan--thank you so very much, Sweetie!! The midground panel was also encircled with the same lace. For the horizontal I used an organza ribbon tied into a double bow to dangle a silver heart charm from silver cording. The floral treatment is all from Wild Orchid Crafts: 30mm Wild Roses and Hip Rosebuds. To finish the front I used WOC Self-Adhesive Pearls to all corners.

The inside is quite simple. On the first panel I used the same lace from the front with another organza bow and on the second panel a triple Nestie and even more lace! Hey, the theme was MAKE IT LACY so I tried!!!! hahahaha

Thank you so very much for dropping by to have a peek at my little card and you know I love having you here! I would like to know what you think of my little girlie this week. Please come back often! Have a wonderful day and until our next meeting, BIG HUGS for YOU!!!

Tilda in the English Garden at Friday Sketchers #145

Yippeeeee!! And Happy Friday Everyone!! I hope you have had a marvelous week and are just awaiting a splendid, fun-filled weekend! For those of you who observe Daylight Savings Time, this is the weekend....so gosh we lose an hour...that means, craft fast!!! lolol

This week at Friday Sketchers I am hosting with a sketch I designed and I certainly would love for you to come over and join in with us for the chance at a great prize from Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps!

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base, the matting is all PTI, and the DP is from and old MM paper pad called English Garden--I actually hope my card reminds you of little Tilda in an old English garden...smiles!!! All panels were machine stitched. I used the darling little Tilda with Lace Jeans from Magnolia-licious. Although she does not show in the shop I'm sure she will be available as soon as Diana has the New Butterfly Dreams Collection in-house! It shouldn't be much longer now!! She was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, adding a touch of Star Dust Stickles to the lace, and cut out with triple Nesties. for the horizontal I used a luscious 7/8" Red Satin with Grosgrain Edge, tied it into a bow and dangles a double charm--rose and rose leaf. I wanted lots of miscellaneous flowers so it would look like little Tilda is getting ready to sniff or pick a flower or two. The floral treatment is from Wild Orchid Crafts: Poppy Stem Flowers, Aster Daisies, and Gypsophilia Stem Flowers. The little mini-flower garden at Tilda's feet contains a red star flower from my stash and the garden is grounded with a mixture of Flower Soft.

The inside is VERY simple using the same papers, ribbons, and poppies from the front.

I hope you like my little creation and will decide to visit the Friday Sketchers blog and join in with us this week. Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!
Bea, Bev, Janneke, Jeanette, Rach, Tanja

Thank you so much for dropping by and I hope you will want to come back often! Tomorrow I will have my Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge posting and then the next day the SUNDAY SENSATIONS posting and the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop so I hope you won't miss any of them!!! It is such a delight to know that you have visited!!! Sending a big hug to each of you!!!
