A very happy Friday to everyone and I hope your respective week has been a magnificent one!! And welcome to a wonderful weekend!! Gosh, fall is in the air and I am so reminded of Christmas holidays being right around the corner.
I don't usually combine challenges in one posting but for today it is different because I wanted to make a special Holiday gift box/card set for a very special friend so I am combining this posting for Just Magnolia AND Friday Sketchers so that you can see the set together! First I will show you the Just Magnolia DT Sample...and I remind you that you are welcome to use anything as long as it has a Magnolia stamp this week...So please come on over and join with us and show us what you have to offer and be in line for a great prize.
I made a gift box using a plain brown box which originally had glazed pecans in it. I covered the box in papers by Inkido which were a special gift from the magnificently talented Gunilla of Sweden...thank you sweetie...I just love them!!!! I then added gathered lace, an organza/sparkle trim from Suzan (Hugs, sweetie), and finally a dangle gems trim. For the top of the box I stamped Sneaky Tilda on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics, adding a touch of stickles to the package, lace trim, and headband. I don't see her right now over at Magnolia-licious but I am sure she is winging her way there as I color!!! I then propped her up and encircled her with a pearl trim. The floral treatment was made with various flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and pearl trims from Michaels. The top was finished with a pink organza ribbon holding a marvelous charm of a pink jewel angel made by the magnificent Gunilla again!!!!

A peek on the inside of the box shows a repeat of all the trims used on the outside...and in addition an envelope for a special holiday message to the recipient.

The following will give you a glimpse at the beautiful charm which Gunilla made for me as well as all of the various trims used.

This week at Friday Sketchers #122 we are hosted by the magnificently talented and very sweet Tanja of Germany who has designed for us a fun and exciting sketch to use this week. I hope you will wander over and join with us so that we can see your manificent interpretation of Tanja's sketch.

For my card, I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is PTI, and all DP is Inkido. All major panels are machine stitched. Sneaky Tilda was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics and a touch of Stickles, propped up and encircled with pearls. A pink paper doily makes the base corners. For the horizontal I used Pink Organza and pink satin, adding an organza bow to dangle the gem trim and to hold a pink rose. The floral treatment in the upper right corner is a combination of flowers/stems from Wild Orchid Crafts.

For the inside I used a silver snowflake charm to just more of the same trims from the card and box. The jotting spot is just trim and bow encircling a place to leave a special message.
I hope you like my little creation and will be able to join us at Friday Sketchers this week. We would love to see your card using Tanja's sketch!! Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!

Since this will be a special gift I decided to use my two personalized stamps with Nesties and some cute tiny leaves and flowers on the backs of both the card and the gift box.
Thank you so much for dropping by to see what is happening in my little world...I hope you will return often!! I love to hear what you say about my little creations and appreciate each one of you so much. If I can ever help any of you in any way, please don't hesitate to send me an email. Often when you make a request in a comment, I am unable to find your email address and am unable to respond to your request. If you have questions about any of my projects that I don't explain clearly, please let me know!! May you have a delightful weekend and until out paths cross again, big Maggie Hugs!!!
