Happy Thursday!! I hope you are having a magnificent week and are free of the extreme heat that much of the US is having!!! It has been a wonderful reason to stay inside and play, play, play!!
YIPPPPPEEEEE!!! Welcome to DAY 4 of the WOC/LOTV CHRISTMAS IN JULY PARTY!! Today is my day to share with you some fun and excitement that's happening this week at Wild Orchid Crafts AND Lili of the Valley where we have all been joining together for a CHRISTMAS IN JULY PARTY!! How exciting is that?? To use the absolutely gorgeous products offered at WOC AND to give you peeks at the unbelievably precious new LOTV images has been so much fun for all of us!! The first Christmas launch at LOTV will take place on Monday, July 25. There will be 21 of the cutest images yet!!! Be sure to visit the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog and LOTV Ideas to Inspire Blog often to check out the marvelous cards/projects made for this celebration!
For my project I made a tea light card which holds an entire 16 pack of the candles. I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting. The DP is from the Inkido Candy Tree Collection and all panels are machine stitched. There are many tutorials on-line for this type of card but I designed my card to fit the pack of tea lights I wanted to give. Since I usually make 6X6 cards I wanted this to be that same size so the base is actually 2 pieces of 7X6, scored at 1", and overlapped to form a stronger spine. The 1" spine was determined by the size of the tea light package. The image I used is LOTV Christmas Dance from the soon to be released collection. She was colored with Copics, adding Polar White Flower Soft to the ground, Prisma Glitter to the stars, and Lily White Flock to the fur. For the vertical I used White Guipure Lace. I then added some cute little 15mm Open Roses on tiny holly leaves and mini snowflake ornaments to embellish the single Nestie matted image.

This picture will give you an idea of what the outside of the card looks like when it is opened. I used my double matted personalized stamp on the back.

When the card is opened you can see the tea light box on the extreme right which is a very simple design with Nestie Stars apertures so you can see the little candles. On the left panel I used an image from the Set 8 - Happy Circular Sentiments which is also double matted. Beside the tea light box I used another rose topped snowflake and a silk bow to dangle a silver snowflake charm. Both the silk bow and the ribbon used to tie the card together is a gorgeous 32mm Fuschia Silk.
