SWEET STUFF and Sending Hugs at Friday Sketchers #147



A very happy Friday to everyone!!! Gosh, I hope your week was as marvelous as mine!!! Beautiful weather and lots accomplished!!! And now we are all at what will be a magnificently fun weekend!!!

This week at Friday Sketchers #147 we are hosted by the sweet and talented Jeanette from Canada who has given us a really fun sketch to use this week!! Thanks so much, Jeanette!! There is also a very nice prize this week given by My Favorite Stamps so come on over and join in with us! We would love to see your interpretation of this great sketch!!

For my DT Sample Card is Used Bazzill for the base and PTI for all double matting. The DP is from the Basic Grey Hopscotch Paper Pad and all background panels are machine stitched. I used a darling little hÄnglar & stÄnglar girlie, stamped her on Cryogen White, colored her with Copics, and paper-pieced her dress. Around the image I used a bit of Stempelglede grunge. I also used a metal cornerpiece from my stash. For the horizontal I used a wide grosgrain topped with Cameo Beige Vintage Seam Binding tied into a double flat bow. The floral treatment resting on MS punched branches is all from Wild Orchid Crafts: 25mm Open Rose, 15mm Open Roses, and Aster Daisies. The sentiment is from the Whimsy Stamps Friendship Ticket Sentiments cut out with the Ticket Die.

The inside of the card is very simple because I wanted much of the DP to show this time.

    Dear Jacque, I have been a follower for some time now. I don't know if you read all your comments or just fill in the numbers on Random Org. but I thought you might be excited to know that your name is well known even over here in OZ. A friend and I were waiting in the checkout last Tuesday in one of our bigger Supermarkets, and the 2 ladies in front of us were actually talking about you and your work so there we all were at the Checkout talking about how gifte we think you are. Tuns out we all comment every week but none of us have been lucky enough to win a prize YET. Anyway, back to this weeks Card it is as always Stunning and I have just bought the Hopscotch pad and so glad I did now that I've seen it used. Also your Sweet Stuff looks Divine, I have been wanting that little window forever it seems but it just hasn't reached the top of my list yet.     What a cute card! I am wondering how in the world you color a dress with tiny polka dots! I guess I never thought about it before. You can't go around the cream dots with the marker! She is colored beautifully. I like how you used the "stemple smudge" around the edges of that piece...that dp is FABULOUS! And, I always, love your beautiful flowers!

    Jacque, thank you for an opportunity to win all of that amazing "Sweet Stuff." She would look so beautiful looking out of that window!
