A Red Rose Bouquet for YOU!!

Happy Day, everyone!!! And yipppeeee it's weekend again!!! I have been on a ride through the mountains this week and the colors are absolutely amazing...so soon they will all be in a pile on the ground---not my favorite time of the year!!! But it is postponing the winter...hahah

Today is my turn to post over at the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog and I decided to make a 7" (17 cm) square gift box.

I started with a plain brown heavy box and covered it first with DP. The DP I have used is from the Maja Design Life in the Country Collection. For the top of the box I have used the lovely fretwork die designed by Jolanda Bergmans of Noor! Design. This die can be used in so many ways--I have used it to showcase a bouquet of roses. The rest of the embellishments for the box are all by Wild Orchid Crafts.  The 1" Open Roses resting on MS punched branches are anchored with a double flat bow made with Red Silk Ribbon. To soften all of the corners I have used 3/8" Flat Back Pearls.



On two opposite sides I used some lovely Lace Trimming topped with Flat Back Scalloped Pearls as well as more silk bows. The other two sides are just lace and the scalloped pearls.



On the bottom of the box I used Large Pearl Brads to make the little feet...

    A really gorgeous box here Jacque. I absolutely love the gorgeous romantic look and the girly decorations. Sooooo gorgeous and well made as always hun, and the colors just scream christmas all over it too, so it´ll be just as awesome for christmas as it would be for a loved one. Just perfect work hun.

    Yes, the leaves are gorgeous this fall, aren't they. Wish it would quit being so windy, since it's blown tons of them down already. The die that you used for a base for your roses is simply gorgeous. That's a new name to me, will have to check it out. Pretty, pretty box!
