Penguins Aplenty!!!!



A very happy late Sunday evening and a wonderful start for your new week! I hope that your weekend was spectacular and that your week will be delightful also!! I know mine will be!!

Just for fun I decided to make a little 6"X6" holiday gift box featuring the cutest penguins ever!! I used the sweet little LOTV Fishing Buddies from the latest release and colored it with Copics and Promarkers, cutting it out with Nesties. To finish the image I used Gold Spica for the stars, Glossy Accents for the water, Star Dust Stickles for the ice, and Prisma Glitter for the snowflakes. The paper is from Recollections and I just love those dots with the penguins!! I first put a WOC Miniature Silver Ringing Bell on each corner with some tiny red satin ribbon. I then placed the panel on top and edged the entire box with red ball fringe. I crisscrossed white satin ribbon and red polka dot ribbon, adding a double bow. To finish the front I used a couple of snowflake ornaments, topping them with BG holly leaves and some little 15mm Open Roses.



This side view will give you and even better view of the penguin theme from the LOTV image! The Penguin on top decided to fish instead of skate around...smiles!!

    OH!!!!!!!!!!!! Jacque, Incredibly LOVELY! I just love the red pompoms!!!! SOOOOOO CUTE. and the top image is a must. The more I see those LOTV the more I love... WOW. Just a WOWZER!!! Spectacular.

    your creation is super hunni
    it almost brings me in the christmas spirit
    my weekend was bad, my hubby has a room of his own now, and i may visite him as much as i do this means for me the family and friend
    then you know it's bad, on wednesday we have a meeting this the lungarts on her request!

    Beautiful, Jacque -- I would say "as usual," but each time your projects seem to exceed even YOUR stunning "usual." SO adorable. My daughter has picked penguins/snowflakes for the theme for my granddaughter's first birthday party to be held on December 10. I will most definitely need to go to LOTV to check out this set, though I realize how hopeless it is for me to even mimic your work.

    Do you have a place that this precious box is going? I don't believe you have an Etsy shop or anything ... and once (ooooh-la-la!) you've sent me a Jacque original card that I cherish. If you're looking for a home for this beautiful box, it would be quite adored by my granddaughter for years to come.

    Hi Jacque~

    This gift box is so precious...it should be THE gift! I love the red pom-poms around it! It really adds a unique touch to this project! And, the snow flakes with the holly leaves and little flowers, are beautiful! I really love them for holiday card decorations! They are one of my favorites...of your embellishments you have used...if that makes sense. The penguins are adorable and fun and complete the story with the stamped image! THAT is colored and snazzed up so beautifully. I love all of the extra little details you give each project! This is truly amazing work! It must have taken a week to make! I hope the recipient really enjoys the effort and love that so obviously went into it!
