Tilda Celebrates Summer at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge

Yippppeeeee!!! It's Friday and I hope you are having a magnificent one!!! I also hope that you have had a delightful week and are looking forward to a great weekend. I personally am so happy that this week is in the past and I am PAST ready for the weekend! Murphy's Law was in effect this week!! hahaha

This week at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge we are hosted by the very talented Carol for our Special Monthly Challenge - Anything Goes with the option of Shabby Chic. The fabulous prize this week is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp!! So come on over and play along with us!!!! We would love to see your creations!!

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for all double matting; the DP is from the blue and green Eline's Vintage Paper Bloc by Marianne Design; and all background panels are machine stitched. The image I have used is Tilda Celebrates Summer from the Sweet Rainbow Collection at Magnolia-licious which is also available as a MINI. She was colored with Copics, adding Stickles to the flowers and Prisma glitter to the raindrops. She was then cut out with triple Nesties. I had seen a woven ribbon pillow in a Shabby Chic shop here in town, so I was inspired to try the same treatment on my card for the bottom panel....and let me tell you..it may look very simple but that thing took me forever using 3/8" grosgrain ribbons!!! Getting it all straight was a pain so I am sure there is an EASY way!!! lol For the vertical I used a pink eyelash organza from my stash with a double flat bow made with 1" Organza Ribbon. I wanted something see-through because I did NOT want to hide the woven panel!!!! LOL Behind the image I used a lovely Venise Lace Fan (which I don't see at the moment at WOC) and topped it with three Self-Adhesive Pearls. The floral treatment resting on MS punchouts is all by Wild Orchid Crafts: 35mm Trellis Rose, a couple of the NEW Carnations, and Hip Rosebuds. I finished the front with more WOC Pearls.

For the first panel on the inside I used a sweet Pink Paper Doily as a base for another organza bow and a heart dangle. For the second panel, jotting spot, I used a heart Nestie with a small bouquet of 4mm Rosebuds tied with tiny pink and green silk ribbons.

I hope you like my little creation and we really would love for you to join us at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge this week! Gosh, it will be so much fun seeing your wonderful creations!!! Please drop by to check out all of the lovely creations made by the DT this week!!

Thank you so much for dropping by and I would love for you to come by often! It is always such a joy to see that you have been here. Don't forget SUMMER SENSATIONS from Magnolia-licious on Sunday...and who knows...maybe there will be some more surprises here during the month of July...smiles!!!! Have a marvelous weekend...and until the next time...BIG HUGS!!!!

  39. Hello Jacque - Just love all the Tilda's in this Rainbow Collection...they are sooo sweet! The colors you chose are so beautiful and just shout summer, as well as the colors you used on Tilda. I always enjoy all the detail in your cards. The weaving turned out beautiful, but I bet it was a bugger. From my experience, weaving takes LOTS of patience, so I applaud you. Beautiful, beautiful card. I just so enjoy visiting you and reading your posts. You enjoy your weekend and I hope your weather is beautiful. They now tell us it won't be 121 degrees on Sat & Sun - only 118 and 115 (smile) - aren't weather people funny! Hugs to you, Sharon :o)
