Kneeling Tilda at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge



Happy Friday to each of you!! I hope your week has been one of lots of fun! Today was my preliminary Mammo, blood tests, and all of those other crazy tests and my cancer follow-up is on Monday...So please keep all of those fingers and toes crossed for me. Heck I feel so great I don't know why they even bother...lol

Today is the new challenge at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge and this week we are being hosted by the incomparable DawnyP who has asked us to use BUTTONS, BOWS, and BLOOMS. Now, doesn't that sound like fun?!?!? This week we have two lovely prizes up for grabs so come on over and join in with us!! We would love to see you there! The prizes this week are from The Ribbon Girl and The Cutting Cafe.

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and all matting, the DP is from the Life in the Country Paper Pad by Maja Design, and all background panels are machine stitched. Thank you so much, Gunilla, for these lovely papers!!! I just love them!!! The image I used is from the latest collection at Magnolia-licious which is Sweet Rainbow Collection. She is the darling little Kneeling Tilda and I put her on a hillside looking for ladybugs! She was colored with Copics, adding a touch of StarDust Stickles to the lace. She is holding a ladybug button. The sky is made a la Bev Rochester and the cutiepie image was cut out and propped up for dimension. For the vertical I used a wide red satin ribbon, topped with blue grosgrain, and then 1/2" Red Satin Ribbon from WOC, with triple flat bows with ladybug toppers. The floral treatment is by Wild Orchid Crafts: Sweetheart Blossoms and Poppy Stem Flowers.

The inside is very simple because I love these papers and wanted as much of them to show as possible. The vertical ribbon treatment on the first panel replicates the one on front, and on the jotting panel I placed a ladybug parade...smiles!!

    This card s just soooo gorgeous Jacque. I totally agree with you, the papers are so beautiful itself, that it would be a shame to cover too much of them, and this is just perfect.

    Good morning Jacque, your cards are always a pleasure for the eyes and the heart, but this time the pleasure is multiplied by ??? I have this thing about ladybugs, I have a collection of items with ladybugs ever since my youngest son was 4 and fell in love with them. Sooo, this morning you made me very happy!     I pray that the Heavenly Father will keep you healthy and full of energy, and that you will feel His healing presence and unconditional love. I pray that He knows how much you bless us with your art, and how much we all love you. I remind Him that He can heal us with just a word. I will continue lifting up. Where 2 or more are gathered in His name...there He is also. And, just glimpsing through your comments...there are far more than 2 or 3 people praying for you, my friend. Do you know when you will receive the results?

    About the card...AMAZING! I love this image....kneeling on the ground, in search of lady bugs! The scallopped circles is one of my favorite shapes for images! It really shows the focal point nicely. She is colored wonderfully. She reminds me of me as a child. I always searched for ladybugs...my Mom told me they were good luck! I would bring them inside to live on her plants. THAT was a problem! Love the ribbons...so cheerful! The flowers are beautiful. I love the size your chose this time, and the colors look great with this card. Everything is wonderful, Jacque!
