LOTV and LOVE at Friday Sketchers #136 and SWEET STUFF!!!!!


Happy Friday Everyone!!! I hope you have all had a marvelous week and are looking forward to a fun and exciting weekend. SNOW is predicted here so I am not in the best frame of mine!!! lolol...I have seen enough white stuff for this lifetime!!


I am hosting this week at Friday Sketchers #136 and hope you will ALL come over and join in with us and show us your interpretation of the sketch. You are welcome to turn the sketch any way you wish as long as we can still distinguish all of the elements! We have a very nice prize being offered by Pink Cat Studio. For my DT Sample Card, I used Bazzill for the base, PTI for all matting, and the DP is from the Crazy Love Collection by Bo Bunny which was a gift from Claudia's two darling little boys. Thank you so much, Lucas and Niklas....kisses and hugs!!!All major panels are machine stitched. I used one of the soon-to-be-available Lili of the Valley darlings. They are launching 4 new Fairy Stamps by Annabel Spenceley on 11th January 2011, along with 8 Molly Harrison Stamps, 2 new wedding images and 5 Love and Romance ones, in time for your Valentine's Day Cards! Oh my goodness...be there early!!!!

The image was stamped onto Cryogen White and colored with Copics and cut out with double Nesties. For the horizontal I used a wide ecru cotton lace and red satin ribbon with a flat bow to hold a dangle heart charm. The sentiment is one which will be included with with the Love is in the Little Things image. What a deal!!!! To replicate the image, I made a bouquet with 5 MM Closed Rosebuds from Wild Orchid Crafts tied with a tiny satin ribbon.

The inside of the card is more of the same but I used 4 MM Closed Rosebuds.

    Welcome to the snow club LOL. We´ve had meters of snow here for over 2 months now, so I know all about that cold shit LOL. Don´t hope, you´ll get as much as we have? But it´s sure nice to get a good clean in the craftroom sometimes, and not bad, when it gives you time to make such a gorgeous card, as this one is. I just love it and the wonderful bright colors, you´ve used looks stunning. It´s just so perfect Jacque.

    Here in Holland the snow is almost gone. Thank God! We had snow for about 2 months, so we all got very tired of it. Ik hope the white blanket over there isn't as thick as ours.

    We are covered in snow at the moment Grrrr.

    I really feel for you. I know exactly what you mean when you tell that you are snowed in. Me too. Here we have enough snow too. And i am so fed up with it. But then again i`t rather have snow and -15 C than +2 or 3 C and that grey wet stuff.
    You have yet again done a fabulous card. Love the color combo. And the stamp and sentiment is just sooo lovely. I really love your bows. They are perfect. I really struggle with mine but you really got them down.

    I love your sketch and I will definitely be playing along. I doubt I'll ever be picked as a winner in any of these challenges, as I do not use a LOT of embellishments. 1--I try to make them last. 2--I don't like "Busy" cards. 3 and most importantly most of my cards are for OPERATION WRITE HOME, and they request that we try and keep them flatish.

    I've also never won a "sweet stuff" LOL but i am sure one day i will. I am just happy to be here and learn from you---your courage, and sweetness, patience and generosity. Dealing with what you have to deal with, the way you act...no one would know. You are an angel on earth. I wish for you nothing but complete miracles!

    This is such an adorable card and so sweet for a Valentine card for a cute little boy or girl.. Actually would be adorable for my husband as we are approaching our 50th anniversary..
