A very happy Monday to each of you! I hope that your week turns out to be very special. It is 90F (33C) here today and we are NOT accustomed to this kind of heat here in the mountains. Gosh, it is amazing but a good enough reason to skip my Vitamin D session out in the sun...hahaha Tomorrow we are supposed to have some much cooler weather so I am keeping my fingers crossed!
This fortnight over at the Wild Orchid Challenge our theme is PUNCH IT OUT--using dies and/or punches on our creations! As always, there is a very nice surprise from the lovely people at Wild Orchid Crafts so come on over and join in with us!! You will be in the draw for this marvelous surprise!!!
For my card I used the darling little Hopeful by Sylvia Zet for Whimsy Stamps. She was stamped on X-press It and colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding a couple of sparkly Self Adhesive Rhinestones for her necklace. The base of the card and the double matting is all Bazzill and the DP is from the MME Lime Twist-Life of the Party collection. The swirl is Memory Box. For the horizontal I used a wide grosgrain topped with a double flat bow made with 1" Organza Ribbon. The cornerpieces are from the Whimsy Corner Dies Set. All the flowers are from WOC: Curly Wild Rose, Lilies, and Tulips. I also added two Decorative Crown Pins and a lovely butterfly pin which was a specially made gift from my sweet friend Gunilla. The card was finished with Self-Adhesive Pearls to soften all of the corners.
