PRIZE ALERT ... We have hidden FOUR prizes of 2 new release rubber stamps somewhere on the DT’s blogs throughout our 5-day release event this week. As the location of the prizes are secret, be sure to leave a comment on ALL the stops on each daily blog hop to maximize your chance of winning! We will draw the lucky winners over the weekend and announce them on the Whimsy blog next week.

Today we are excited to show you the brand new Dies and Sentiment Sets released this month. For a full reveal of these products, check out the Whimsy blog!

For today's project, I have used the NEW Butterfly Border, Butterfly Frame, and Fluttering By Sentiment Set. I have also used the darling New SWEET TEA image illustrated by Elisabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps.

The base and all double matting are Bazzill and the DP is from the Vintage Spring Basics paper pad by Maja Designs. The image was colored with Copics adding a touch of Glossy Accents for the sippy cup and drop of tea, Prisma Glitter for the butterfly, Star Dust Stickles for the lace, and the dress is covered with clear Wink of Stella. After coloring the dress I used blending solution on a ribbed cloth to give the dress a look of a striped voile. The beautiful border at the top was made with the NEW Butterfly Border. I first cut the border out in lavender and then in white...covering the white one with Prisma Glitter and cutting the individual butterflies out. After placing the rhinestones on each butterfly and shaping them, they were glued atop the lavender border. Hopefully you can see the dimension in the picture below.

For the horizontal I used a lavender grosgrain ribbon tied into a double flat bow to anchor a small organza butterfly from my stash. Finally the flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts: Lilies, Hip Rosebuds, Cottage Rose, and Gypsophilia Stems.

For the inside panel I used the NEW Butterfly Frame and a sentiment from the NEW Fluttering By Sentiment Set, adding a few Self-Adhesive Rhinestones from WOC.

So now it's time for you to continue today's hop! Don’t forget to leave a comment at every stop  to be entered into the draws to win some new release rubber:

Hi everyone and welcome to Day 1 of the ...
Whimsy Stamps May rubber stamp & die release!

Over the next 5 days we will reveal the new May 2014 Whimsy Stamps products.  We are releasing a fabulous selection of new goodies this month, and the entire release will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store and from all good Whimsy Stamps retailers from Wednesday (21st May).

We are thrilled to welcome Danni and Linda as our Guest Designers this month. Welcome girls - we can't wait to see what you have created!

Today we are excited to show you the brand new Sylvia Zet and Cathy Delanssay stamps released this month. For a full reveal of these stamps, check out the Whimsy blog!

For today's project, I have inked up the darling little Sylvia Zet designed image for Wee Stamps at Whimsy Stamps, Maya, and have used the Butterfly Frame die with sentiments from the Fluttering By Collection, both designed by Simonne Clay for Whimsy Stamps. I have made a purse shaped gift bag and matching mirrored compact card with inspiration from sweet Abby in NJ.

The sweet image is colored with Copics, adding a bit of Prisma Glitter to her wings and covering the rosebud with clear Wink of Stella.

To make the purse I used a couple of sheets of 12X12 DP from the Sofiero Collection by Maja Designs and fashioned it into a purse shape. Without the handles the purse measures 9 inches X 5 3/4 inches (23 cm X 15 cm). I used both pink and white pre-gathered lace, some pre-pleated satin ribbon, and organza ribbon for the top trim. The rose cabochons are from WOC. To make the handles I threaded pearl beads onto jewelry wire. The purse was finished with a velcro closure.

I used the new Butterfly Frame die on the back with a sentiment from the Fluttering By sentiment set, adding a touch of Prisma Glitter to the butterflies on the frame.

For the mirrored compact card I used silver metallic cardstock adding the same trims as the purse...and on the inside another diecut with the Butterfly Frame and sentiment from Fluttering By. The card ties together with narrow satin ribbon...And of course I could not resist adding "Hello, Beautiful!" with a Sharpie Paint Pen...haha

So now it's time for you to continue today's hop! Don’t forget to leave a comment at every stop  to be entered into the draws to win some new release rubber:

Be sure to visit the Whimsy blog tomorrow for our second day of sneak peeks.

Gift canisters...and Winners!!!

Happy Thursday, everyone, and thank you for dropping by to see what's happening in my little world. I just don't know where all of my time goes...If you have an answer, please let me know...lol

Today is my day to post over at the Wild Orchid Crafts blog where we like to show our creations using the gorgeous products found at the Wild Orchid Crafts shop. So I have made a LITTLE gift container to hold some butter mints for a friend. The pictures are a little misleading because the canister is no more than 2.5 inches (6 cm) tall. And I apologize for my photography skills but in real life all of the pinks are the same color but I can't get them to photograph as the same color...sigh...

I used a clear plastic container and covered it with DP from the Maja Sofiero collection. For the side I also used Flat-Back Pearl String, some pre-pleated trim from my stash, Vintage Seam Binding tied into double bows to anchor a couple of heart charms from the Mixed Heart Charm Set. The sentiment is from the Whimsy Stamps Mini Chalkboard Set.

The top panel is cut from the SB Classic and Petite Scalloped Circles. I added two sizes of Open Roses, some tiny 4 mm Rosebuds, a Cameo (which I don't see in the shop today), and a tiny bow made with very narrow satin ribbon.

Here is another canister I made a bit ago which is much larger...about 4 inches (10 cm) tall. I have also used some lovely products from Wild Orchid Crafts shop and the base of the creation is actually a peanut can...smiles...

WINNERS of SWEET STUFF!!!

Mr Random.org has made the selections for the two winners of the darling little Sweet n Sassy stamps. Thank you all for playing along sooooooo the winners are.....

Thank you all so much for your visit and I appreciate each of you so much! I would like to remind you that beginning on Monday, May 19, at noon EDT, the new release at Whimsy Stamps will be introduced...and believe me, it is an amazing one!!! Oh So Sweet N Sassy and SWEET STUFF!!!!!

Hello, everyone and happy day to you!! I hope you are having a delightful weekend and best wishes for a great week, too. The weather in these Blue Ridge Mountains has been so beautiful and I am really into the planting and digging in the dirt mode.

I would like to share with you a card I made for my posting day (First Monday - tomorrow) over at the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Blog. I hope you will drop over and visit with us there.

For my card today I have used the absolutely darling Sweet N Sassy image illustrated by the incomparable Elisabeth Bell for the Little Cottage Cuties Collection for Whimsy Stamps. And isn't she the epitome of SPRING and SUMMER!!!! She was colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding a touch of Wink of Stella for her belt buckle. The base and all double matting is Bazzill and the DP is from the Damask Rose Collection by Jennifer Ellory. The top corner pieces are by Prima and for the horizontal I have used organza ribbon tied into a double flat bow and topped with a gingham button. The Self-Adhesive Pearls and all flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts:

It has been a very long time since I have participated in a challenge, but I would like to bite the bullet and toss my card into the May challenge at Kit and Clowder Challenge where the requirement is FLOWERS. How fun is that?!?!

SWEET STUFF!!!

I have TWO extra little Sweet N Sassy stamps who are searching for a wonderful new home. All you have to do is leave a comment before Wednesday, May 7 at 8 AM EDT and you will be in for the draw...Good Luck!!

Thank you all so much for dropping by and I hope to see you again real soon!! Until the next time, enjoy each moment!! Hugs!!
