Happy Monday, Everyone!! I hope that you have had a great weekend and are ready for a splendid week! We had a weekend of sunshine and that was enough to make me very happy!!!
Today is the first day of this fortnight's challenge at Wild Orchid Challenge and what a lovely challenge it is!! This time the challenge is to use Pink and Cream, one of my faborite combinations, and as always there is a great prize for some lucky participant. Please come on over and join in with us this time--we would love to see your pink and white creations!
For my card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting and the DP is from the Parisian Dreams paper pad designed by Jenny Ellory. The sweet image is from the New Bildmalarna collection and is called Rain. She was colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding a touch of Prisma Glitter to the falling rain drops. Most of the embellishments are new products at Wild Orchid Crafts: Tuscany Rose, Bead Berry Sprays, Spiral Stamens, and White Net Lace. I have also used some other products from WOC: Vintage Seam Binding, Rose Cabochon, and Heart Shape Flat Back Pearls. The only other addition is a chipboard clock treated with a Frantage bath.
For those of you who didn't see this on Facebook, I wanted to share with you all something that really touched my heart. Connor, the darling 8 year old son of my Zumba instructor plays baseball for a AAA Western Carolina Angels team and was allowed to select a name for the back of his breast cancer jersey...and he selected ME!!!!
This is the sweetest and kindest gesture for me, Sweet Connor, and I am so humbled that you thought of me and honored me in this way!!!!
Can you see my excitement to be at his first tounament wearing MY jersey?!?!?! AND his team won the tournament this weekend and received a lovely trophy and individual championship rings!!!!!! With a team name like Angels and the names of breast cancer survivors on their backs, how could the team not win???? Thank you so much, Connor, and much love to you!!! From your adopted Grandma!!!!
Thank you all so very much for coming by today and I hope to see you again real soon! Sending BIG HUGS to all!!!
