BLING at Wild Orchid Challenge and SWEET STUFF!

A very happy Monday to everyone!! And best wishes for a wonderful week! I am so in hopes that my friends along the eastern seaboard and throughout the northeast and southeast make it through "Sandy" with no problems. This storm is unbelievable and it is even causing some horrible weather for us up here in the NC mountains. It is raining, windy, and COLD here today and tonight we may even get SNOW...argh!!!! So buckle up and hang tough!!!

For this fortnight at the Wild Orchid Challenge we are asked to BLING IT UP and I had a request for a flat and simple card so I thought I would combine the requests. You all know how difficult it is for me to make anything without mega dimension but I tried...lol... For this challenge, like all other Wild Orchid Challenges, there is a marvelous prize being offered by the Wild Orchid Crafts shop so come on over and join in with us. We would love to see your wonderful creations!!!

For my card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting and the DP is from the EP Very Merry Christmas Paper Pad. The image is one of the NEW Whimsy Prints which are beautiful sets of hand colored images which are then digitally reproduced and die cut into various shapes. The prints are printed on 100lb premium coated paper and professionally die cut leaving very smoothe edges. This print is from the Merry Christmas Prints which was designed my Elisabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps. For my BLING I used lots of Self Adhesive Rhinestones from Wild Orchid Crafts. These gorgeous rhinestones are offered in so many beautiful colors!! For the left side treatment I used the rhinestones on each intersection of the beautiful fleur de lys fretwork diecut (SEE BELOW) which was designed by Jolanda Bergmans of Noor! Design. For the double flat bows I used 1/2" Olive Green Satin Ribbon. Finally, I softened all corners with various sizes of the rhinestones.

SWEET STUFF:

I would like to offer you one of these lovely dies as well as a nice selection of Wild Orchid Products to thank you for coming by and for hopefully joining us at the Wild Orchid Challenge this fortnight. I have been organizing and if I have more than one of anything it is becoming SWEET STUFF...lolol If I put pictures of my organizing process, you would faint for sure!!! But anyway, all you have to do is leave your information with the little Blue Froggy before Wednesday, October 31, at Noon EST...Good Luck!!

Thank you so very much for dropping by today and I hope to see you again real soon! Until the next time, please be safe and enjoy your week!! Big hugs!!

Christmas is my favorite holiday because it's so festive. There's so much inspiration for the holiday for cards and decorations. Your card is a true inspiration. I love the traditional colors of red and green. Your coloring is perfect and I adore the ribbon. Gorgeous card, indeed.

It sounds as though it's starting to look like Christmas in your area with the threat of snow. Stay safe and stay where it's warm and cozy! :)

Storms are terrible things. Flooding seems to be the worst part though. We've had some terrible floods here in England too in recent months. They actually found a couple completely buried in mud in a car under a bridge where there had been a landslide. My mother's cousin was on holiday when her home was completely submerged in water. She can't move back in for a long time, if ever, as it's undecided. Totally ruins lives, but you can't blame nature, can you? Tragic. Really feel sorry for everyone affected by these awful things.

lucretia said...

So sorry to be so rude. I forgot to say how lovely and Xmassy your card is and I love that stamp too.

Hi Jacque~

This card is just lovely. I love how you build on top of the layers. You add so much dimension, when just coloring your cards would be beautiful. I love how you added pearls to that die-cut. It is so elegant. I think it would be beautiful on a wedding invitation, or anniversary card, any card! Thank you for sharing your "artistic magic" with us!
