Daisies Do Tell at Wild Orchid Challenge and a wee SWEET STUFF!
A very happy Monday to everyone and to those celebrating the 4th of July, Happy Independence Day!! It is so hot here that celebrating means staying indoors and doing not much of anything! lol
Today is the next Wild Orchid Challenge and for the next two weeks the requirement is to make a Tent Card and of course to use at least one Wild Orchid Crafts product on your card. You can combine our challenge with no more than 2 other challenges. You can find a wonderful tent card tutorial by the exquisitely talented DT Dena right HERE. We would love for you to join in with us for this challenge--as usual, there is a marvelous prize from Wild Orchid Crafts awaiting some lucky participant! Also we have another prize for this challenge from Lili of the Valley!!
For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and for all double matting; the DP is from the Marianne Design Pretty Papers Bloc-BLUE and MM Yellow Gingham; and all panels are machine stitched. The darling image is LOTV Milly Flower Power which was stamped on XPress It Blending Card and colored with Copics. The window was cut with an oval Nestie and then I used WOC White Daisy Chain Lace to encircle the opening, trimming the centers of the daisies with Yellow Self-Adhesive Pearls. For the vertical I used a yellow striped grosgrain tied into a double flat bow. For the floral treatment I used a BIG White Sunflower Daisy Stem Flowers resting on Mulberry Paper Maple Leaves. Finally for some dimension, I added several rows of grass diecuts at the bottom of the aperture.
For the back of the card I used a couple of large White Blooms with Flower Soft in the centers, resting them on ribbon chevrons. I also added a couple of Yellow Self-Adhesive Pearls to the other corners.
To match the card, I decorated a small blue and yellow dotted photo album which holds 13 photos by using the same LOTV Milly Flower Power, White Sunflower Daisy Stem Flower and Mulberry Paper Maple Leaves. To close the album I used a yellow grosgrain and a yellow gingham button tied with Yellow Divine Baker's Twine.
Thank you so much for dropping by and I hope you will drop over to the Wild Orchid Challenge Blog to see the absolutely gorgeous cards made by my DT Sisters!!! You will be so happy you did because they are all showstoppers!
SWEET STUFF...If you would like to have this little Daisy set of card and photo album, please leave a comment below and I will also add some blue and yellow goodies (flowers/blooms/ribbons, etc) to the SWEET STUFF for one of my FOLLOWERS! We will close this on Thursday morning, July 7, at 8 AM EST.
Have a beautiful week no matter where you are!! Thank you so much for your visit and I hope to see you again real soon! Until the next time, I send BIG HUGS your way!!
