Anything Goes at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge Blog!

Happy Sunday Everyone!!!! I hope that you have begun a marvelous New Year! I have great news in that all of the snow is GONE!!!! And it has been a lovely couple of days!!! What could be a better way to start the new year?!?!?

It’s all change at Just Magnolia for 2011! We have decided to change the challenges from this week on to allow hÄnglar & stÄnglar stamps to be used along with Magnolias. We, the DT, have thought long and hard about this and think it will be a great move forward for the challenge blog. The sweet hÄnglars are becoming easier to get now (certainly for the UK girls now that the lovely people at hÄnglar & stÄnglar are selling their stamps on EBay.

So, we have a new banner to reflect this change which comes into effect with our newest challenge. If you still wish to only use Magnolia stamps that’s absolutely fine, but I am sure there are a lot of you out there that will be delighted to have an extra excuse to ink up your hÄnglars! I hope you will swing over to the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge Blog and join with us this week where anything goes as long as you use a Magnolia or hÄnglar & stÄnglar image. We have 2 fabulous prizes given by our 2 wonderful sponsors: The Ribbon Girl and Embellishments.DE.

For my card I used Bazzill for the base and all matting, and the DP is from the Crazy Love Collection by BoBunny. All major panels are machine stitched. I also used a darling hÄnglar & stÄnglar image which was a gift from the very talented Gunilla of Sweden...thank you so much, Sweetie!!! Just love her!!! She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics. For the horizontal I used Dark Brown Jute String from Really Reasonable Ribbon, tying it into a bow to dangle a double heart charm. For the floral treatment I used a Nellie Snellen Heart die cut and padded it with 10mm Open Roses and Gypsophilia Stems from Wild Orchid Crafts. To finish the front I added chocolate pearls to soften all of the corners.

Here is the simple inside of my card--I used the same papers, flowers, and only added a pink paper doily and a Love brad.

Thank you so much for swinging by to see what's happening on my little blog! Remember to check out my right sidebar for the SUNDAY SENSATIONS from Magnolia-licious giveaway as well as my personal Followers' SWEET STUFF!! I will be back tomorrow with my Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge card, some new and exciting NEWS, and probably something for YOU as well!!!! Sending big hugs for each of YOU!!!

I'm soooo happy about this new challenge of the Maggies & hAnglars. I bought several sets from Ebay & got a few as Christmas gifts so would love to color up several & use them on the challenges as I love them both very much. I have a SERIOUS addiction to Maggies but the hAnglars are slowly stealing my heart as well ... This little hAnglar of yours is simply amazing. Your coloring is out of the world & the eatras you put into your works just blows me away.
Hugs, Janie

Hi there~

I just love this card. I love the bright colors you used on the nurse and bear card, and the beautiful bow and such. However, I LOVE to see brown...especially on cards that could be used for Valentine's Day. I think the inside of this card is just perfect. Sometimes "Less really is more."

This little girl is so cute! And, I like the way you used the brown jute. I really would like to know how you made that flower filled heart? What adhesive did you use? Have you done a tutorial on how to get them to stand facing up like that. It is an amazing feature. I am sure a bunch of us would like to know how to do that! Have you ever worked with real dried flowers? I dried a bunch, not flat, like usual, but in their natural shape. mini roses, buttons, they are beautiful, but I have no idea how to use them!

I'd welcome your knowledge any time.

He IS Able,
Traci S.
