Happy Tilda at Just Magnolia

Happy Friday Afternoon! Gosh, it's almost weekend and I hope it will be a delightful one for you! More snow is on the way AGAIN and I am so looking forward to SPRING!!

This week at Just Magnolia the challenge is BIRTHDAYS - remember your creations must have a Magnolia image on it to qualify for the prize draw. The lovely prize this week is from Jacobi Drachten. The winner will be chosen by Random Generator next week so to be in the running all you need to do is ensure you have at least one Magnolia image on your card and link your card (not your blog) in Mr Linky and have your card posted by 8pm UK time next Thursday 4th March 2010. I hope you will visit the Just Magnolia blog to see the lovely Maggie cards made by the Design Team and will join with us this week! I would love to see YOUR birthday cards, too!!!

For my card, I used Bazzill for the base, PTI CS for all matting, and the DP is MM Spring Fling. This darling little Happy Tilda is from Magnolia-licious where you will find not only the new Raising the Ceiling Collection in house but also pre-ordering for the Hoppy Easter hurry on over!!! Tilda was colored with Copics and cut out so that she could be propped up on dimensional tape. I folded her little hand down so that she could hold two balloon buttons to help a lucky someone celebrate a birthday! I added borders of green lace from Webster's Pages, four small bows made with three pastel colors of very narrow satin ribbons, and two gift buttons for the bottom corners. For the computer generated sentiment I used two small lit candles!! HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Thank you so much for coming by to check on Tilda today! We both appreciate your visits and love to hear what you have to say about the creations here! I hope you have a splendidly productive and enjoyable weekend and be safe and happy until we meet again...With Maggie Hugs for each of you!!!

Kitty Love at Friday Sketchers 91

Happy Friday everyone!! Whew what a week!! I hope that you have had a delightful week and are looking forward to a very enjoyable weekend! My weekend can't possible go slowly

Today is WEEK 91 over at Friday Sketchers and we are being hosted by the magnificently talented Carole from England who has designed an absolutely lovely sketch for us to use this week. I hope that you will come on over and play along with us this week using Carole's sketch so that you will be eligible for a very nice prize from Simon Says Stamp.

For my Design Team sample card I used Bazzill for the base, PTI for all matting, and the DP is Daisy May by Imaginisce and PTI Dots. All panels are machine stitched and I used the very darling Kitty Love by Belles 'n Whistles colored with Copics. Rather than vertical stripes of DP I used white organza ribbon and bows topped with pink and white organza roses...Thank you so much, Suzan, for the pretty DP AND the lovely roses!!! Finally I added pearlized flower buttons to the dotted DP panel.

I am so sorry but I don't have time these days to complete the insides of my cards to show you how I finish them...but this too shall pass, and when it does I will have a stack of cards to design middles

I hope that you will visit the other DT members and check out their magnificent interpretations of Carole's sketch:

Flower Soft Challenge and Some SWEET STUFF for YOU!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone and I hope your week has started in such a positive way!! I am pre-posting this for you because I will be in the hospital on Tuesday getting the porthole installed....wonder if they can look in and see what's cooking in this old body??? lol I will begin 6 sessions of chemotherapy on Monday, March 1, so we will see just how well I handle this new experience!! The sessions will be 3 weeks apart so I am planning on LOTS of wonderful and creative days in between the sessions!!! AND on Day 15, the hair becomes a shiny head!!! Just think, no more haircuts and more $$$ for crafting stuff...wooooohoooooooo!!!!

This is my very first opportunity to contribute to the Flower Soft Blog and I have been looking forward to it so much since I was named to the DT several weeks ago! Our challenge today is to "Say It With Flower Soft" and a tutorial can be found HERE. I have also used a Moments In Time image for each of my cards and I think they are so darling! Moments In Time is a collection of heart-warming imagery brought to you by the talented illustrator Rikey Austin and developed by Flower Soft® into a series of nostalgic Card Toppers™ and Stamp Sets. Kling-on cushioning is included with each stamp.

For the first card above I used Just For You image and the DP is Imaginisce, a gift from the so sweet and very talented Suzan. Thanks Sweetie!! The image was colored with Distress Inks and then I added a bit of Flower Soft at her feet for dimension. The letters for HI were cut with Cricuit and covered with Ultra-Fine Flower Soft.

For the next card I used Cosmo Cricket DP and the image Man of the Match was colored with Copics, adding a bit of Flower Soft to the grass. The letters PALS are chipboard letters covered with Ultra-Fine Flower Soft.

The last card is the sweetest image Grows With Love colored with Distress Inks, adding a bit of Flower Soft to the grass. The DP is from Marianne Designs Pretty Papers Bloc Blue. GROW was just written on the CS and covered with Flower Soft.

Thank you so much for dropping by and I hope you will visit the Flower Soft Blog to see what the other DT members have done for the Say It With Flower Soft challenge!

NOTE: With more than 1400 comments on my last Sweet Stuff, please bear with me because it may be a day or so before I can eliminate all duplications, etc. to finally make the random selection! Never in my dreams could I image so many people coming by my little blog!!! My sincere thanks to everyone who visited!! I will try my very best to hurry the announcement!!!

Some More Sweet Stuff to help me celebrate my very first Flower Soft contribution!!!! Sweet Tilda at Just Magnolia

Happy Friday again to everyone!! I hope that you are ending a magnificent week and are looking forward to a very productive and fun weekend! Thank you so much for dropping by to check out my Just Magnolia contribution this week!

The lovely sketch this week is by the very talented JayJay from Germany and I just know that you will enjoy playing along with us using your favorite little Maggie! There is a very nice prize offered by Kellie at Magnolia Down Under so please come on over and join us!! I can't wait to see your interpretation of this fun sketch!!

I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is SU, and the DP is all from the Victorian Romance "Mixed" Paperblock by Creamotion. Sweet Tilda was colored with Copics, cut out, and propped up with dimensional tape onto a beautiful Nellie Snellen framed rectangle which was a special gift from the lovely and extremely talented Christina. Thank you so much, Sweetie...I just love them!!!! Each of the gingham checked stripes is bordered by MS Eyelet Lace punched trim. The flowers are all from Jayne at the wonderful Crafty Feeling shop in the UK and the brads are from the BG Sugar Rush Collection. To the red gingham bow I added a tiny tag and sentiment from SU. Finally I added red gems to soften the corners.

Thank you so much for your visit and I hope you will come back often! I will have a special surprise for you on Feb 23, so be sure to drop by!! And, for a hint, I will be participating in my very first Flower Soft challenge on that day!!!! Best wishes for a delightful weekend and thank you all so much for EVERYTHING!!! Great big Maggie hugs!!

I will keep you updated after I get my new porthole next week and find out what my exciting schedule will be! If you can do one thing to make me happy that would be to assure me that you have had your mammogram!!!!

At Friday Sketchers 90 we are being hosted by the magnificently talented Bea of Germany who has given us such a fun sketch this week!! I hope that you will come on over to check out the FS blog and will join us. I would just love to see your interpretation of Bea's sketch!

For my card I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is SU, and the DP is all Cosmo Cricket. I have used the absolutely darling image SURPRISE which was designed by the extremely talented and much loved Australian artist, Elisabeth Bell for Belles 'n Whistles. I hope that you will come over the the BnW blog to check out the lovely work done by the DT and will visit Summer's store to select your favorites!! Notice on this cute stamp how he has his slingshot in the back pocket of his overalls and a cute gift and balloon for some lucky someone!!! He was colored with Copics and I have used just some grosgrain ribbon, charm, and chipboard flower to showcase this darling!!

Sorry, but I have not completed the inside because I am still very limited as to how much I can use my right hand and arm...but I will be back in full force very filled with more pizzazzzzz than before!!!

Please check out all the wonderful sample cards posted by the Friday Sketchers Design team, and hopefully you will play along and post your own creation on the Friday Sketchers blog where you will find that InStyle Stamps is sponsoring a very nice prize this week!

Thank you so very much for dropping by today -- I always appreciate you so much!! I love reading what you have to say about my creations!! I hope you will come back often and, just for the record, please check back for sure on the 23rd to see my very first DT sample for Flower Soft and I just bet there might be a surprise for you then too. Happy Monday and great big hugs to every single one of you!!! Your cards, your emails, your thoughts and prayers, your phone calls, and your every single sentiment expressed has been so magnificent and so touching to me. Thank each and every one of you for everything!! I had the breast and lymph surgery on February 2 and just knew that I would jump right up and be my OLD self...lolol...that was not to be...I have been extremely lacking on my right side due to the lymph node removal but HEY!!!! don't we all have a few bumps in our roads???? I am finally able, with doctor's permission, to join this best community in the world again as of today!!!! woooooohooooooooo In a couple of weeks I have to begin chemotherapy and then radiation so I guess I better contact Diana and Roy and order some extra Scor-Tape so I can at least wear bows on my head....hahahahha...they say it works for EVERYTHING!!!! Gosh, I have so much to be thankful bones are FREE...well, except I have an ankle that might get OLD-AGE arthritis (pffffffft)...and all of my other organs are what's a little chemo and radiation in the grand scheme of things...My doctor told me that all I have to worry about is staying active (cough he NUTZ???) and drinking lots of water...and he tells me to hurry up and get better because he wants me to be his official interpreter on his mission trips to the Honduras...oh boy...I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my DT Sample Card for this week's Just Magnolia Challenge blog where the sponsor of a wonderful prize is Wild Orchid Crafts, one of my very favorite companies for flowers!!!! Our challenge this week is come on over and show us your love card using a Magnolia!! How easy is that??!!??

I used Bazzill for the base and all matting and the DP is from the Lilac Avenue Collection by Kaisercraft. This little darling Tilda is from the upcoming Wedding Collection which will be available soon at Magnolia-licious. AND she is colored with distress very first attempt so please be gentle!! lol The roses, asters, and slider buckle are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. To finish the front I only added a double heart dangle to the organza bowand pearls to soften the corners.

For the inside I used the same DPs and added another aster and a SMILE charm to the organza ribbon treatment. The charm was a gift from the lovely and talented Jeanette.

Since the flowers added so much dimension to the card, I decorated a matching presentation box:

A Spring Wedding for Tilda and Edwin

Happy Monday and Happy February!! I hope that everything is going very well for each of you! Today is my day to dig out of the snow so we will see just how successful I am!!

This month at Magnolia-licious our own Diana selected the Wiper Card for the DT Project and your challenge. She is also requesting that the theme this month is SPRING...and I will be soooooo happy to see Spring arrive!!! You can find all of the basic Scor-Pal directions HERE. I changed the measurements for my card since I prefer 6" square cards.

I cut the 2 Bazzill base pieces of CS to 6" X 9" before scoring at 1 1/2 and 3 inches. I also used Bazzill and gold metallic papers for all matting and the DP is Making Memories Love Notes. The darling Edwin and Tilda have not been released yet but I wanted to give you a little peek of what is coming in the Wedding Collection!! I'm sure you will be seeing these soon at Magnolia-licious. I stamped them on Cryogen White and colored them with Copics adding a touch of Spicas before propping them up on dimensionals. All of the front and back panels are machine stitched. I added lace, ribbons, bling swirls, pink pearls, mulberry flowers, satin bows, a wedding ring charm, and a couple of heart pins.

Since I didn't have that darling Maggie dove, I had to freehand a couple of doves with a Copic Multi-liner---one for the front and one for the wiper. They were colored with Copics and then painted with Angel Wings Shimmerz.

For the jotting spot on the back I just added another bit of bling, a satin bow, and a rose with Just Married carriage charm.

Thank you so much for dropping by to see my February submission. You will be able to see the challenge and the other DT cards over on the Magnolia-licious Highlites site. I hope that you will join us in making a wiper card with a spring theme for everyone to see! Have a wonderful week and I hope to see you back real soon!! I love hearing what you have to say about my little creations. Big hugs for each of you...

SPECIAL NOTE: I will have a special posting for you tomorrow with some happy news and some "you know what!!"...just like I promised!!
