NEW FLOWERS and New Challenge at Wild Orchid Crafts!!
Happy Monday everyone!! I hope you have all had a delightful weekend and are starting a fun week!
GOSH!!! There are NEW FLOWERS available at Wild Orchid Crafts and they are just lovely--they are SMALL, flat gardenias and in such lovely colors!!! They are a little over an inch long which is such a perfect size for our cards!! They are now on sale and you can find them HERE!! Go have a look and see those beauties for yourself!
Today I am sharing with you my very first DT submission since being named to the Design Team at Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge Blog so I hope you enjoy and will decide to join in with us for the challenge of BLUE CHRISTMAS. As you can see at the top of my posting, I made a card and matching box to put under the tree for some secret person.
For my card, I used Bazzill for the base, PTI for all matting, and the DP is a frothed paper from the K&Co Let It Snow Specialty Paper Pad...and VERY difficult to sew!! Tilda as Christmas Angel from Christmas Collection 2009 is from Magnolia-licious and I don't see her in the store but I'm sure Diana will get her for you if you would like to have her. She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics, adding Buttermilk Spica, Champagne and Star Dust Stickles and then cutting her out with Nesties. For the vertical I used some precious white trim from my sweet friend Suzan and a bow using PTI Spring Rain satin ribbon. For the floral treatment I used a Baby Blue Flat Gardenia, 2-tone Blue Cherry Blossoms, and 6mm White Closed Rose Buds, all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The flowers are resting on double snowflakes from Michaels. To complete the front I added half pearls to all corners to soften them and to the centers of the snowflakes.
The inside is quite simple with more snowflakes and pearls, a Nestie jotting spot and a satin bow with a gold star to repeat the star Tilda is holding on the front.
The plain Kraft box is covered with the same papers and I have used all of the same embellishments, making the floral treatment on top a bit larger.
The same trims and ribbon are used around the lid's edge and are placed on 1.5" Pleated White Satin Ribbon. I'm sure you can also see that I used large white pearl brads on the bottom for little feet.
I hope you have enjoyed my little creation and will decide to join with us over at the Wild Orchid Challenge Blog so that you will be eligible for a magnificent prize from Wild Orchid Crafts. Come on over and check out the magnificent creations of my fellow DT members--they are BEAUTIFUL!!!
Thank you so much for dropping by today and I hope you will come by often to see what's happening in my little world. Enjoy your week and I send big hugs until we meet again!!!
